As a tenant, they have been an awful company. They are not responsive with repairs, although very quick to respond when putting the rent up and giving deposit deductions for very little reason. Staff turnover was ridiculous while we were renting, and with each new staff member, the quality got worse and worse. As a tenant, I would advise that you go elsewhere if possible.

I do not recommend this estate agent. Advertising property as completely refurbished to an excellent standard and finding holes in the floor and sealing upon arrival. Walls with yellow patches everywhere, dirty property left unfinished by builders. Clueless staff who say contradictory things.
Shocking customer service overall and time wasted to drive all the way to see property you would not consider if advertising was made ethically.

The house sold within six days and Belvoir handled the negotiations, including a renegotiation after the buyer's survey, and obtained a satisfactory price. I've been a landlord for nearly 20 years and have always used a letting agent to manage property. For the first few years my experience of letting agents was dire and I became very disillusioned with them . For example: rents weren't collected on time or chased, accounts were not properly done, maintenance was poorly done and overcharged. Thankfully, Belvoir Wigan started up and gave me assurances that they would not let me down, I was sceptical but signed up over 10 years ago. Belvoir, true to their word, have never let me or my tenants down. The staff are knowledgeable, efficient, organised and lovely to deal with. I have not had one moment of stress, missed rent,or unhappy tenants so I've been able to carry on without having to think or worry about rentals. I would not use anyone else

Been a tenant in a rented property for 3 years, and recently bought a property through belvoir wigan, not had any problems during the tenancy but the house buying process was extremely unprofessional, which I put down to them dealing mainly with rentals and not having experience in property sales. Through no fault of our own or the vendors of the property, some issues arose around the sale, which where exacerbated by belvoir, and it became apparent that they lacked basic knowledge of the process, making the situation lot's harder than it needed to be. When we vacated the rental property, they informed us that they where keeping some of our deposit, for what I feel was unjustified reasons, nothing in the property was damaged and we thoroughly cleaned the place. Also charging £30 for a few new light bulbs that need replacing is ridiculous. I don't normally write reviews but unfortunately I felt like I needed to write this one as I have been really disappointed with this whole situation.

I was with Belvoir for 7 years as a tenant. If I need to use an agent again Belvoir Wigan will be right at the top of the list. Extremely professional in dealing with any matter regarding the customer, landlord or property. I have dealt with most of the team in my time in the property and were all very accomodating in their dealings. I always contacted Caroline if I needed to speak to anybody as she set me up in the property and her approach to her work should be the benchmark for any Belvoir employee across the board as her dedication to the customer always comes first, very pleasant to deal with and always gets back to you readily. I am currently looking for another property and if it came down to a choice Belvoir Wigan is the one to side with.

Excellent quality and value for money. We put our house for sale in 2020 and after a lacklustre experience with another estate agent, we spoke to Jane Emson at Belvoir. She was very enthusiastic about selling our property so we decided to go with them. What a good decision that was. From the beginning, she was enthusiastic and incredibly professional. Despite the threat of Covid 19, she remained positive and was able to send a steady stream of potential buyers to view our property. She was always available to contact and it seemed that nothing would be too much trouble for her. The advice and professionalism continued until the day our house eventually sold and beyond. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Belvoir and in particular Jane Emson for selling your house. There are more expensive estate agents out there but there won't be any better ones. Highly recommended.

LANDLORDS STAY AWAY FROM THIS AGENCY!. I have possibly had the worst experience with this agency from start to finish. The staff are extremely unhelpful, rude and lazy!.
Firstly I was shown a property which I loved from the moment of walking in!. In the exact words of Lesley Morgan I was told 'The Landlord of this property does not require a Deposit, he only requires one months rent' Which I found rather different!, However I was going ahead with the property anyway!.
once the Applicant fee was paid of £175 I was then told I owe not just the rent but a deposit too (which is completely fine but it was incorrect information that was sold to me!).
Then I ask if it may be possible to end my Tenancy earlier than expected due to unforeseen circumstances . I was told yes if I pay the fee of £250.00 For the property to be relisted, a new Tenancy agreement to be put into place and an amended Inventory, So I pay the £250 hoping the property would be relisted the next following day and ready to be back on RightMove, After 4 Days of ignoring my emails, I then am told I owe a further £50.00
When the landlord came round to the property to do a Check, I informed him of me paying this fee and he looked very shocked on the amount !
Two weeks later I then see the property live on RightMove, This is two weeks of extreme valuable time for myself as I needed to be out the property asap!.
Finally I mention on the phone to Joanne Wilde If it may be a possibility to have one extra week to move from the property.
I then wait a further 5 days for a response from Joanne to then be told I have a bill and can not go back on my word under no circumstances!, again not only that ; the fee is wrong again !!.
Overall I would NOT recommend this agency what so ever. In no way are they efficient.
To be quite honest they are enough to make you not want to rent again!!!.

For the past 4 years I have rented my property through Belvoir Wigan Estate and Letting Agents. I have been very happy with the service I have received. I have always found staff very approachable and friendly. Staff have always been happy to help. I have found my experience with Belvoir smooth and easy, in contrary to previous letting agents! I will be sad to leave my property and Belvoir Wigan.
The vacating process was very efficient and painless! Which was ideal. It was one less stressor to think about in regards to moving. Thank you to Caroline who has been fantastic throughout my time with Belvoir. And was very informative and clear with regards to what steps I need to take in terms of the repayment of my deposit and vacating the premises.

If you are a landlord please don’t list your property with belvoir, as it’ll never be sold or letted. And more see if you are a tenant. I liked a property for after viewing. After having called them that I’m ready to make the payment and accept the deal. The folks over the phone were very very rude and not co-operative at all. They didn’t support me at all and told me “other agencies have lesser stringent policies than ours. Why don’t you try them!!”. Their background check policies are also weird. But I’m happy that it didn’t work out with you as I have later heard from people how unhelpful this company is with its tenants.

The Belvoir team at the Wigan office are simply just tremendous.
My family have been renting-out two properties with them for the best part of 10 years now.
Everyone is always friendly and very helpful indeed, but most importantly, they are all expert and completely professional in everything they do.
We've also recently asked Belvoir (Wigan) to act as estate agents with the sale of one of our properties.
We would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Belvoir (Wigan) to anyone for either letting or selling a property, whether it be to landlords, tenants, sellers or buyers alike.

Such a warm welcome, i recently went into the shop to speak about a rented property i had seen and i was pleasantly suprised at the warm welcome i received, very smiley and helpful woman and couldnt of been more helpful. I had been shopping that day and was offered a glass of water and to sit down, the attention to detail and enthusiam was a 10 out of 10 for me, the property however had already been taken but i was promised a call if any more came up that was similar.

If I could rate lower than one star I would. Our experience with this office was terrible from the start, being ignored constantly when we requested to view flats. It took my partner phoning and popping in constantly until they finally let us view a flat. They promised we were the first to see it which was a lie. By the time we had got to the office to put down our deposit straight after the viewing someone else had taken it.
When we did eventually manage to get a flat, we were constantly harrassed by them asking if we had a bike because there were tyre tracks along the corridor outside our flat. Neither of us had a bike but they rang both of us several times regarding this even though we kept telling them the same thing.
During our tenancy we reported multiple problems with dampness etc which they never rectified and then charged us for when we moved out. Any maintenance issues reported took several phone calls to them before they'd do anything about it.
On moving out, we pulled out all the furniture to make sure we weren't leaving anything behind and found several receipts dated before we moved in and other items that were not ours so the property had clearly not been thoroughly cleaned.
Avoid this company if you possibly can.

Bad experience. Sent an email asking for viewing a property and never answered. So decided to go personally to the agency and I found a rude woman, white lots of prejudice about my possibilities of affording a rent just because I am not english, even if I have a good full time job since a year. When booked the appointment for the viewing, the lady arrived very late without even excuse herself, didn't know where to go and never smiled during the time we were together. Definitely not raccomended

The property was not maintained well during the tenancy and for the last few months we have been paying 695 ppm to live in a damp property.Returned the property in better condition than we found it.Agent firstly stated that they didn't want to take any of our deposit; however they then charged us 350 pounds for what they described as minor issues including a dirty cupboard and bluetac on the wall. They changed this list when we appealed to the DPS and then included a final check out fee which hadn't been mentioned previously in 2 years of tenure or checkout. Have agreed to the charges just because I am convinced that they are going to take this money however unfair. Don't use if you can avoid, if you can't, write your own inventory as their's is deliberately vague on the Landlord's side but they will screw you for as much as a spec of dirt and advise you take provide photographic evidence of problems that they find but you are unaware of. the landlord refused to remove his belongings from the loft during our tenancy. so we had to use a bedroom to store our belongings. horrible,horrible experience. AVOID at all costs.

I found the ladies in the Office to be very professional and knowledgeable about the properties they are letting and also the surrounding areas. I came to Wigan with no idea of areas, amenities etc. and the ladies supported me throughout. They are very friendly and helpful and I found that nothing was/is too much trouble for them. Whenever I call into the office or telephone, I always receive first class service in a friendly manner. I would certainly recommend Belvoir Wigan to anybody looking to rent a property in this area. Do not waste your time,
On a number of occasions I have contacted the office to express my interest in property that is on your files. There have been times when I was told that they would get back to me, but mostly the staff have ignored me, even when the property in question has been taken off the market.
I am still looking for a property but this office is now on my ignore list – I will find somewhere with a company that gives me some respect.
