Extremely poor attitude on the phone. No sense at all on the availability to do viewings. Zero customer service skills, no respect, no interest and concern, no offering alternatives, instead they reply with one-word answers. First time I've encountered such treatment.

I rented a property from Alan Goldin for two years and during my tenancy I was consistently impressed with the professionalism, helpfulness and friendliness of the team there, in particular Tim who managed my particular property. Any issues we had were dealt with quickly and appropriately, and they have continued their excellent standards even after my tenancy's end when I have needed things like a landlords' reference. I couldn't recommend them enough.

Alan Goldin Eastates is my agent for over 10year and there were bit of up and downs until new management took it over.
But since new management took it over I have to say, am really happy with the way Tim dealt with all the enquiries from me with kind/tamely manner.
Unfortunately, my flat decided to falling a part last few months but whenever I ask for help Tim was there for us.
I hope(am sure) we will have lovely relationship for coming years.

Very bizzare service provided. And by bizzare I mean arrogant/ ignorant.
I was supposed to book viewing which I submitted for on line. 4 days later I received an email agreeing to show me the flat at scheduled time. Due to work commitments I emailed them I want to reschedule our meeting . I never heard from them . Send email again. No response. In a current situation every single sale shall count and building rapport with clients is essential. Not for everyone at this unpleasant and shocking example. I have a impression that for this particular estate agency there's no room for flexibility and agents are willing to do any work if there's a certain possibility of sale or rental. Let's look at it from different perspective . Just because you enter the shop doesnt mean you will purchase merchandise the shop has on offer to sell. But you would still expect to be acknowledged, assisted , to be given some product knowledge advise and in general to have at least basic interraction with sale advisor. Not the same foundation of retail are transferable to estate agencies . Instead of clothing estate agents selling or renting properties which really make them sale assistants in general. They don't own those properties. They make money out of landlords and houses sellers and tenants. Estate agents have a weird way of behaving which involves bad attitude and certain level of arrogance. In reality they wear cheap suits , constantly chewing mentos as they oozing of buzzing, over use cheap deodorant and under use shower facilities. The worst part of it is they ended up with great commission for the minimum possible job with someone else's property. Genius concept! So my advice would be to this particular office, to open the doors and answers the phone when the client is ringing, to drop the attitude, to take pride in their appearance and take responsibility for others enquiries and properties . Simply to do what they are paid for to do and be grateful they have those jobs which pay so well but doesn't require a high IQ. Cause if I hear another estate agent crying that housing market collapses and they are getting fired, I am going to give my approval to those facts taking place cause that's the best way to filter a rare great estate agent from lazy and stinky picking up nose lad who thinks of pint of beer and a blond in mini skirts.

Fair. Honest. Reliable. I've seen a couple of 1 star ratings on this feed - but having had the pleasure of being a Tennant with Alan Goldin Estates and dealing with Alan directly for the last NINE YEARS - I can tell you that he is somebody who is completely fair, honest and a man of his word.... If you treat the landlords and the property with respect, pay on time, and keep up good communication - then this man and his efficient team look after you.
For example - We were concerned about single glazing when we first moved into the property, and how this could affect us in the winter, and after raising concerns within a month we'd had double glazing fitted using good tradesmen. They also completely respect privacy and leave you to it. Not invasive like some letting agents can be. Instead AG Estates are there when you need them! :)
Having just moved out last week we're going to miss this great property in Temple Fortune. Saying goodbye to Alan didn't feel like saying goodbye to a letting agent but saying goodbye to a friend. Cheers guys - keep up the great work! Would recommend to all.

Once the property is let he will just act as a middle man and pretend he is doing a favour by managing the property. This chap took over a year to sort a hole in a wall and 6 months to sort an ant problem. a load of my mates who moved in and around Finchley simply refuse to use this agency. If you do just be weary.

Also he is obvious discriminator and racist as if he would hear foreigner accent, he always would talk to people like dogs, without a little respect! AVOID IF YOU CAN!

My husband and I moved to London recently and approached searching for a home with some reservations. We coincidentally happened upon Alan Goldin Estates Ltd in Golders Green and were pleasantly surprised to be received enthusiastically even though our circumstances were challenging. Joel showed us a suitable property within our budget and in a nice area. There were no nasty surprises with fees and all my questions and concerns were addressed quickly. As far as estate agencies go, I'd recommend them for an honest and friendly service.

A very friendly, attentive and professional outfit. They imparted valuable information, based on their years of experience, to me as a first time landlord, which resulted in making sound decisions and it took just over a week to let my property, after a steady stream of potential tenants.

When it comes to renting or buying a property, I feel a certain unease at the advice I am given by Estate Agents. It is, after all, a huge decision and certainly one not made lightly.
A number of years ago I was advised by a family friend to approach Alan Goldin Estates as they have a reputation for offering a tailored approach to your search for a home. Two years ago I used their services and following such an exemplary experience have found myself returning only a few months ago to use their services again.
Both my needs and wants were assessed and prioritised when various properties were presented to me as well as both the pros and cons of each property, rather than the usual "down-your-throat", obviously biased attempts of other agencies. This is the primary reason that I have continued to use their services. A truly honest approach to doing business for such a personal requirement.
Not only was I assisted with the search but the gentleman that showed me the property also took the time to go through the required paperwork rather than passing me on to another department who didn't know my name.
Ultimately, it felt like a secure experience and one that I have recommended to many of my friends and colleagues also looking for properties in the area.

I had a wonderful experience with Alan Goldin Estates, they are a very nice company to do business with, their staff are wonderful and made every step of the way easy. I would definitely use them again if I needed to, and I recommend them to anyone looking for a property.
Looking at previous comments I find it impossible to believe that Alan Goldin, or any of his staff, would behave in such a manner. Don't be put off by these.

Stay well clear. Not even worthy of 1 star.
Unfortunately another flat in my building chose to use Alan Goldin Estates which meant I had the unpleasant task of dealing with Mr Alan Goldin.
Sadly had to speak to Alan regarding damage caused by one of his flats. Instead of letting me explain the situation, he shouted down the phone to me and was exceptionally rude. Perhaps I should have stood up for myself and shouted back, but i took the moral high-ground and continue in my calm polite demeanour and asked him to stop shouting at me... but he kept going. I felt personally attacked, violated, and victimised by Mr Alan Goldin.
He shirked all responsibility and demanded I took my issue up with someone else. He hadn't even given me the time to explain the issue in hand!
I didn't choose Alan Goldin Estates, but sadly was in a position where I had to encounter their horrendous management.
If you are able to (sadly I was not) then stay well away!!
