I have rented an appartement couple weeks ago from Foxtons Temple Fortune and paid 6 months upfront, before paying I was receiving calls and emails to get it done as soon as possible, once Foxtons had the 6 months they totally disappeared on me. I was promised a washing machine and a dryer and it was one of the renting conditions, at my surprise once I had the keys from Temple Fortune (which btw the employee at the reception was very unfriendly and condescending with us) the flat did not have a washing machine nor a dryer. I got told to contact the landlord myself and when I did so the person on the other side of the phone claims that he isn't the landlord and I should not call the number again, I emailed the manager of Foxtons Temple Fortune couple of times to ask for a solution but even after two weeks he is still ignoring me, I am being ignored by both the landlord & the manager of Foxtons. An advice to everyone who would want to pay upfront, do NOT, once your money has been received you do not exist anymore for Foxtons.

It was a very nice experience with Klaudijus! He is very prompt, professional, knowledgeable and considerate.
We met as I was booking for a viewing for a property to buy on Zoopla, in a Friday evening. He got back to me very promptly, right on Monday morning, and we managed to book a time slot on the same day! Besides, instead of viewing only the property we’ve contacted for, he managed to arrange 7 viewings in total, and they are all nice ones. He also showed us aroma the whole area, which is nice.
On the same day, he also helped us to connect with potential Mortgage broker, and solicitor options. This is very helpful for us first time buyers.

I am not sure how we came across Foxtons, but glad we did and more so being contacted by Jordon at Temple Fortune!
Believe me, since meeting Jordan we haven't turned back. Infact from what we've been through with other real estate agents Jordon deserves nothing less than Five Stars.
Many agents we dealt with were not knowledgeable about the properties we were looking at!!!
Being first time buyers Jordan made the buying process as easy as possible with his warm, friendly and knowledgeable service.

?? Warning ?? You might loose a lot of money with Foxtons. I was a tenant with them and I'm astonished how bad they were operating. As a tenant you don't have any protection, they threatened eviction to the family with a small child, even though they paid rent.

Commission! Commission! Commission! Those are the three words I would use to describe the service. I had to edit this review to reflect the WHOLE process and not just the initial process of finding a flat and signing.
At first they are really on it with helping you find a place and going through all the paperwork but once that is sorted out (and I assume they receive their commission) the service goes from 5/5 to 0/5.
Moved into a flat that supposedly had been cleaned the day before however all that seemed to have been done was hoovering and cleaning the bathroom. The walls have stains all over, there is dust in a lot of places the balcony has moss on it window sill outside has bird poo all over. Clearly it wasn’t well cleaned and after moving cleaning your new place is THE LAST thing you want to be dealing with.
When we enquired about who supplies the electricity we weren’t given a response so just used the supplier we had before. Turns out the entire development is supplied by eon which meant cancelling our contract and setting up a new one, another thing you really don’t want to worry about.
I could go on and on about issues, from arranging a second viewing after signing that was unbelievably unorganised to picking up keys and the person who was meant to be there wasn’t.
I can not recommend Foxtons and would advise anyone to steer well clear. By the looks of it many of the positive reviews were written once a flat was signed (as was my previous one) but after that there is terrible service.

So far the service I have received from Foxtons has been awful!
First they harassed us with calls and emails to show us different flats after we enquired once about a flat, we eventually relented and took one of their flats.
They were very helpful when signing and paying the deposit/2 months rent, but as soon as they got the money it’s like they disappeared!
We arranged a flat viewing and the person showing us didn’t have a working FOB and knew nothing about the flat. The flat was SO DIRTY and they assured us they would clean it.
We tried to enquire about who supplies the flat energy and gas wise and they had no idea…
2 days until we move in and we ask if it’s been cleaned and they say NO that’s the landlords job! So we keep asking them to clean it professionally and our contract states it will be cleaned before the commencement of tenancy.
We get told it’s been cleaned (4:30pm on the day before we move…)
So we come to the flat and ITS STILL A MESS! Marks on walls, dust around the air vents, hard water stains all over the kitchen and bathroom counters, it’s as if someone came in to hoover and use overly strong chemicals that make the bathroom smell horrific and then left. ‘Professionally cleaned’ is not the words I would use to describe the job done here (that frankly isn’t that hard!). We don’t expect a real professional to come and clean it so we will need to clean it ourselves, as if we don’t have enough to deal with….
Since we moved in on a Saturday, there was no one around to give us our keys and we had to come at a specific time to collect them, and the woman who was due to give them to us didn’t even turn up, we had to be served by somebody else who just so happened to be in the office!!
We had no instructions, no welcome, no information on suppliers, just handed the keys and landlords details and that was it.
We are NOT happy with this service and expect more from a letting agents, previous agents we have used have been so much better and organised, rather than making us feel like they made their commission and is no longer their problem.
We are very glad the place we are renting is primarily managed by the landlord and not this company.

Our house has been marketed by a number of firms over a period of months. When we were approached by Foxtons, we had two other agencies also on board. After a few weeks with Foxtons, we dropped the other two with Foxtons as the sole agents.
A few reasons: the number and quality of viewings, set up of a WhatsApp group for quick and efficient communication but, most importantly, the time and effort put in by Alpa to know us, our house, the area and the needs of the viewers. Not sold just yet but we have more confidence in Alpa and Foxtons than we have had elsewhere.

After being on for many months with a rival firm we changed to Foxtons and had an offer within weeks thanks to Alpa and finding the perfect buyer for our property. The sale was not an easy one, and numerous roadblocks were thrown our way- however with the determination and open communication with Alpa, we were all able to navigate our way through the sale and overcome any challenges that occurred. Antonia was great at seeking out properties of interest for me and ensured I was kept up to date with everything throughout the process. Although I did not end up buying a property with Foxtons, I would highly recommend Antonia as she goes beyond her duty to ensure that i'm happy with my purchase.
Management on the other hand, was perceived rather 'threatening' when I wanted to withdraw my reservation. Understanding that everyone has targets to reach, this could have been dealt in a more professional manner. Other than that, my experience was positive!

Refeena made my house hunting with Foxton into a joyful experience, especially when the market was very competitive for a 1-bedroom place. Before we connected, I had already viewed several properties with other real estate agents, but they were often not listening to my requirements and the rents were over my budget. Refeena heard and acknowledged my standards. We viewed two properties within my budget, and I successfully found the house I envisioned myself to live in for the next 1.5 years.
The whole referencing process afterwards was stress-free because I profoundly believed that she had the best interest to support my application and was frequently updating me on the progress, often outside of working hours to accommodate my availability.
If you are looking to rent a property, I would not recommend a betterestate agent.

I recently got a new job in London and quickly found that Foxtons had one of the best average reviews as an Estate Agents in the city. I liaised with Rafeena in the Temple Fortune branch who was very friendly and helpful in suggesting areas where I could live as I am not from England so I didn't know the NW area of London at all. After organising some viewings Rafeena kindly went above and beyond and showed me other properties that met my criteria which I hadnt formally booked to view. In the end, the Apartment I chose was one that wasnt on my viewing list but one extra that she showed me and I really liked as it was a 15min walk from work, in a new development with bonuses such as gym and internet. During the whole tenancy progress Rafeena was transparent and communicative, acting as the point of contact with the Landlord. I am now one week moved in with no issues and I am happy with the service she and Foxtons provided. Also, there were some changes I requested to be made to the Tenancy Agreement which was of no hassle or bother to do, and it has given me the trust and confidence to use them again as a Lettings Agent.

At first, we were insecure about the idea of renting through an agency. The unknown is always intimidated and on top of that was the massive online negative review about the subject. However, at this time we decide to give a chance, as what we were looking for we couldn’t find offered by private landlords (new building flats, high EPC, long term, ... within our budget).
For our first time using an agency was also essential to find the perfect letting agent. We couldn’t ask for a better negotiator, Rafeena Pervez made us feel supported and comfortable to place any of our requirements and concerns. Personally, I have always had difficulties moving houses when it comes to dealing with agents, especially in a busy place like London. Most agents i have come across, tends to shrug off other vital things required by tenants, and focus of the monetary aspects (as they believe there are lots of tenants on the queue, if you don't pay the required fee, next tenant will pay). I have always see all housing agents that way, but Uche has really proved me wrong.
She is a friendly and dedicated professional, right from the first viewing, to moving into the flat. She's helped handled all the stress and kept us informed on regular basis, as we went about our busy schedule. she tirelessly kept the the constant communication going between us and the landlord in terms of negotiations. Even when there were delays in providing some documentations from our side, Uche was so patient and still guided us on other options that made the process faster and stress free.
When am ready to buy a flat or home, there's no other person i would want to as my agent/negotiator other than Uche. Thank you Uche, you gave me a total different perspective of housing agent in this annoying city.

I called the agent and was told I’ll be called back in 2 mins waited outside 10min later I called and called agent again went to voice mail 4-5time so I called office regarding my issues was just apologies not issue resolved even though I was past around to 3/4 people and was at the end to managed gonna called in few mins won’t tell me exactly how long except few mins. I will not be able express how grateful I am for all the hard work, dedication and support these guys gave me! Having started back in March with a different agent who secured me 3 viewings in 3 months, Foxtons came on board and never gave up with viewings and getting me a deal! I had some bad luck and lost my first buyers but after relisting, 4 days later I had two more offers on the table.
Forget the old reputation they 'might' have had, if you want a company to work hard for you and get you a sale, Foxtons is the only company to go with.

I had a mixed experience last year, good from the Sales Rep, bad from the Sales Manager. In short, here was my experience:
1) Shown around by Adam Sonenfield who was really good, he was proactive and tried his best.
2) Bid for a property which was accepted > all good so far
3) Adam then hands proceedings to his manager, Nick Mayhead to seal the deal with solicitors. Here within around 2-3 days, I was pressurized to go with their 'preferred solicitors which was done indirectly through a company called Coveyance' (which inc all costs came to £1.5k more than via my personal solicitor) for reasons of it having 'less chance of falling through' - when asking for reasons why this is the case, they only gave vague answers. My response was that I would not use Foxton's preferred solicitors unless the bank (HSBC) wouldn't accept my own solicitor, as HSBC have a panel of white-listed solicitors... my full mortgage appointment was booked within 10 days of my bid being accepted
4) 2 days later, Nick calls me in a rather aggressive tone, saying that if I don't give them solicitor details, the property would then go back on the market if I don't give them an answer... essentially alluding to 'go with our solicitors, as we're not prepared to wait an extra few days for your mortgage appointment'. He insisted Foxton's take no kick-back from me going via Conveyance
5) I then discover Conveyance aren't the actual solicitors and are instead an affiliate, where they just took my details and then referred me to MW Solicitors. So I found out MW Solicitor's details and got a quote directly (rather than being channeled via Conveyance)... surprise, surprise, the quote for all costs came to £1.5k less... So why would Foxton's try push me to go via Conveyance I wonder? I myself have worked in affiliate marketing so I know how it all works.
6) Because of this, I pulled out of the deal as I'd lost trust in the Sales Manager's after these findings. I did detail my exact reasoning to Adam, who unfortunately couldn't counter argue any of my points. As I said, Adam was very good to deal with in all of this, so I'd actually recommend Adam himself.
I knew Foxton's had a bad reputation beforehand and was warned of their tactics, however, I initially thought I'd see for myself and was disappointed especially after a good first impression from Adam. I have logged all of the above in case this gets disputed. It's also worth mentioning that I kept in touch with Adam, as I had no issues with him and would still recommend him. Just be mindful on their sales pitch RE their recommended mortgage brokers and solicitors.

Sincerest thanks go to Foxtons Temple Fortune and in particular Nick Mayhead and Joseph Menahem for helping me sell my late mother's house in Arcade House. Having lived in the area on and off for the past 50 years, in the shadow of the Royal Oak pub (where the Foxtons office is now situated), it was crucial to ensure that the flat went to someone who would be truly appreciative of the area as well as the property. Following a number of near misses and false dawns they delivered the ideal family.
They certainly aren't the cheapest estate agents in the marketplace but can justify their fees through the proactive way they went into action and gained numerous appointments in the first week and the constant stream of timely communication throughout the house sale process. This was particularly relevant due to a number of obstacles that surfaced during the journey, which were resolved in a timely and professional manner.

Flat hunting - (Lettings)
I had the misfortune of leaving it very last minute to find a place. We approached the Foxtons in Temple Fortune wanting some assistance to speed up the online grind of searching, calling, confirming and travelling around to properties.
Silvana a Lettings agent from Foxton's was our agent. Silvana has the most outgoing and friendly personality a lettings agent could have. She was bundles of entertainment for my son who bounces off of all walls! In all fairness the first set of properties we went to see were out of the range we wanted to be paying however we realised factoring in central heating or water for instance makes a huge difference in being able to agree higher prices. Trusting your agent to show you the right properties also is a big factor. I was effectively punching under the belt to get something cheaper when in fact a little extra goes a long way in the lettings market.
In my particular experience I had some bad luck with a Landlords insurance providing issues for one of the parties involved. Silvana didn't stray away from this if anything she involved the lettings Manager Dean and they both picked up gears to get us a place as time was the key.
This is my personal thank you to both Silvana and Dean, they went above and beyond to help us and done perhaps more than you would expect from a typical lettings agent. This is my second time letting with Foxton's and won't be my last.
A special mention to Dean who facilitated the hard parts directly with Landlords and also communicated information back to me without me having to chase endlessly. Dean is an example of pure a customer focused leader. He's on the floor with the agents getting involved and supporting his team as well as assisting the ugly parts of lettings. He definitely was the key to my current tenancy.
PS I was very surprised Dean even responded out of hours and appears to not have any days off ????

Dealt with Joseph Menahem, he was a very pleasant and courteous agent, very quick with responses, e-mail, whatsapp and on the phone. He showed me and my wife over 20 properties within 10 days and I made a purchase on two. My Aunt and I have been trying to sell a desireable but rather dated property in Hampstead Garden Suburb. We gave Foxtons the opportunity to market our property and they have been superb.
We have had multiple offers from investors, well under offer, and several private buyers who frankly were taking the micky... The team at Foxtons kept us informed whilst sorting the wheat from the chaff, they helped us end up negotiating with one "sensible" buyer and then ran between us both. They handled offer price negotiations, lease extension issues and were happy to get between solicitors to make sure we as vendors got the best possible price.
I have no problem recommending Foxtons as an agent and in particular Joseph and Nick who have gone to so much trouble and never complained... Thank you very much

I instructed the Temple Fortune office to sell my flat. I had asked other agents to show the flat but Foxtons were the most proactive and ultimately found the right applicant. I had good and professional dealings with a few people in the team, particularly Joseph, Nick and Carl. All of which were helpful and courteous. The majority of my conversations were with Joseph who kept tabs on the situation from start to finish and always gave me a lot of time both on the phone and in the office. He always made sure everything was ok and satisfactory from my end of things. Nick was also on hand to help if and when Joseph wasnt available. I would certainly use the office again when the time comes to sell my new property.

I don't believe that renting a flat in London could be a good/happy experience as all the agencies and landlords will treat you as they are doing a favor letting you rent their flats. But my experience with Foxtons was terrible!!! I found a flat of my interest and decided to take it. What happen next? We were in a hurry to pay the agency fee plus deposit plus rent, so they could take the flat off the market. We signed the contract and they told us that we could move in the beginning of the next month. Five days before moving in, the agency arranged a meeting with the landlady as she wanted to meet us. Arriving there, a big surprise: The landlady called us as "potential tenants" and told us she HADN'T TIME TO SIGN THE CONTRACT YET and also that she wanted to change some points before sign it. What would be a meeting to know the tenants better was an interview to help her to make a decision to sign it or not. Which means that, if at that point she didn't liked us, she wouldn't sign the contract and we would need to look for another flat, but the agency didn't let us know that...
Basically, you pay 420 pounds of agency fees but they don't do their jobs. They just don't care if you would stay with no place to go, as the market is full of people looking for flats/houses to rent.
My advice is: be really careful, and pay attention in all minimal details. Of course you can not avoid to go to one or other agency, most of them will treat you the same way. But give an extra attention to what would happen AFTER sign the contract.

As a letting agent Foxton do not inspect the properties before they let.
one would think that after being told by them that the place would be cleaned before the move that it would happen but once they receive the deposit and one month in advance they do not want to know. So when you check a place you'd expect the water pressure in the taps to be normal right well that's what I thought I had a shock when it took me 2 hrs to fill a quarter of the bath Also security is very important because insurance companies would not insure your goods if the place is not secure enough. All these points should have been gold by Foxton but it seems all they care about is to put blame on you because you saw the place. Be careful

I had travelled over from Chelmsford to view a property to rent in the Colindale area. I phoned up Foxtons regarding a property in the Pulse development, after another agent booked by my family member had let us down. Chad Vigano was on his day off apparently, and was about to head off to another viewing, He very kindly fit us into his schedule for that same day. He was very professional and courteous during the viewing, something I really appreciated after having met many estate agents from various areas of the southern part of England. So far, the only agent from a number of about 30 that I made the effort to compliment.
