I was very pleased with the service offered by Reeds Rain. Both Sue and Kyle supported us through a very long and stressful property sale. We got close to pulling out several times but through their dogged persistence chasing both the buyer and the solicitors we did eventually achieve a sale at the agreed price. I would definitely recommend Reeds Rain.
Shocking customer experience from start to finish. Rude and abnoxus staff especially after we had completed and they had got their money. Constantly felt like they were working hard for the buyer but not for me the seller. They need to remember who pays their comission. Next time I will be going through an online estate agent so I can manage it myself so I get the best deal for me the seller not the buyer, not to mention saving a fortune in commission at the same time. Estate agents don't like the rise of online estate agents but we service like this they can't complain. If they want to stop customers going online they need to provide a service worthy of their commission. If not estate agents on the high street will be a thing of the past!!
After searching online and not making much progress, we went round estate agents in person to see if we had better luck! When we stepped through the door we were welcomed by Charlie she was welcoming, and wasn't fazed by the fact we needed a rented property that would accept a dog. (A lot of other estate agents looked horrfid by this fact!) They actually had a property available, and we were booked in there and then for a viewing.
At our viewing we were met by Kristian he again was welcoming, and very informative. We loved the property and he took us through the process from references, deposits, fees, moving in date was all sorted effortlessly. The whole process was so easy and done for us.
Moving in day came, and again as it had been through this whole process it was easy and all the paperwork was explained and taken through in an easy and painless way. We were moved in before we knew it!
Couldn't recommend them enough, our move was as stress free as a move can be. Would definitely recommend them to people, and would use them again for future moves.
I'm extremely disappointed with how Bridgford handled my application to lease a property in York.
I'm not angry just that I didn't get it- it happens. I'm angry because in this case it wasn't a better offer from someone else, or a failed reference, or a lack of funds on my part. It was 100% purely Bridgfords' standoffish, misinforming and inept handling of a customer who contacted them just 2 hours after the property had been listed. I had money in the bank ready to deposit, I was told I could have a Skype viewing (since I'm a UK Citizen living abroad), I was promised callbacks that never came, I was told this and that by different people and fobbed off to someone different each time.
Through this entire process I had been more than accommodating, taking calls and replying to emails in the middle of the night, even paying for a UK phone number at my expense so that they could contact me easily. When they wanted a third party to view the property for me, I was ready with someone the next day. When they needed right-to-rent evidence, I offered everything possible to get it to them, again at my expense. We were ready with money in the bank to secure this property and were ready to follow the due process as smoothly as possible.
Three weeks after my initial contact and four staff members later, zero progress was made on Bridgfords' part. What kind of service is that supposed to be? Why couldn't we have organized a third-party viewing on my first call, or the next day instead of being promised a Skype viewing? Why did we have to wait three weeks for any form of solid contact from them? Why did the staff member promise a callback then go on holiday until mid-way through the next week? I could ask a million basic questions about why they were the way they were and I presume that the answer is that either they're prejudiced against customers who are abroad, completely inept at handling them, or just too incredibly lazy and uncaring to spend any time on it.
I will add that I'm also shocked that they seem to have absolutely no knowledge of how to handle an applicant abroad and that they didn't go to any length at all to help make this process a smooth one. It's they should have processes in place. Since then, I've had three Skype viewings with different agencies all in a tenth of the time it took to get a single email from Bridgfords.
They didn't even have the most basic courtesy to contact me directly about the property being let, which just compounds this completely despicable service and awful, awful experience.
This was a dream home for us- we spent over a year waiting for the right home to come up so we could move back to the UK. We loved it so much and were ready to accommodate Bridgfords ever step of the way. Their team absolute crushed our hopes and dreams.
We had a long and difficult sale Amy and the team were great chasing solicitors and other agents . Kept us informed of everything that was going on and very supportive. Got our house online with photos within two days and we had offers in the first week . Great service
Terrible. We were mislead about the permitt parking when viewing the flat (were not eligible for a permit, but they told us we were), the agency that they used to complete the references asked me for the same information at least four times, they also did the same thing to my last landlord, we weren't given to codes for the building/pedestrian gate/vehicle gate when we collected the key and had to ask for them seperatly, still haven't had the code for the vehicle gate over a week after we moved in. Whole thing was a total shambles, would not recommend.

My experience of selling through yieldit was a good one with Sophie assisting throughout the sale process! Would Recommend them.
I put my property on the market with this company, within 2 months I had 3 different people managing the sale, not one of them gave updates and required my chasing of them. If you’re looking to sell your property quickly at a price you would like then don’t contact these guys. They will however sell it if you are willing to put it on for at least 20% less than what you would like to receive.
