Martin & Co Medway have been managing my 5 properties for over 8 years and in all that time they have always been very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend them.
We rented a property with Martin and Co Medway for 18 month's. We were originally told that we would have to sign up for a year and then it would become a rolling monthly contract. Unfortunately (but not surprisingly) they went back on their word after a year saying that the landlord would only accept us as tenants on another 12 month contract. We were hoping to move house to be closer to our daughters school but had not found anywhere suitable so we asked if we could just sign a 6 month contract which they agreed to at the cost of £90 administration fee!!
When we first moved into the property it had not been decorated or cleaned to a reasonable standard and the garden was full of rubbish left behind by the old tenants. We asked for the rubbish to be removed (as we had small children) and were told that we could take it to the tip ourselves!
A few days after moving in we noticed a mouse trap in the airing cupboard and some chewed marks around the door frame. We told Martin and co that we believed there might be mice in the property and we had to prove that we hadn't brought them with us as apparently it's not the landlords problem!!
The bedrooms were full of damp and Martin and Co's solution was advising us to clean it off! The only time they actually had someone come out was when my son started to experience very bad asthma attacks due to the black mould in his bedroom.
On another occasion my 6 yr old daughter went to open the garden gate and the wall and gate collapsed! Luckily she jumped out of the way as she could've been seriously hurt by the brick wall and iron gate! Martin and Co sent an email apology but the landlord didn't care and left the wall and gate for months like that before finally getting it repaired.
The carpet in the property was the cheapest of cheap and had nails coming through it (which we kept catching our heels on). When we mentioned this to Martin and co they sent the landlord around with a hammer to 'bash them back in!'
We always paid our rent well in time and we left their property cleaner then when we first moved in but Martin and co still deducted £40 from our deposit for a 'small pen mark' and 'mould in the bathroom'. Both were believed to have been there when we first moved in but not noted on the inventory. However the person who carried out our inventory marked them as queries but Martin & Co wouldn't listen and insisted that we paid the £40 as 'compensation' to the landlord!! We have also seen that the rent has been reduced dramatically since we moved out of the property (by £45 per month!) However when we were living at the property our rent continued to rise each year!!
To be honest Martin and Co Medway do not even deserve a 1 star review!! The fees are extortionate and when we had issues it took them weeks to respond (if at all!). The person who carried out our check out commented on how well we had looked after the property and how the garden was much improved but Martin & Co still insisted on charging us for some minor general wear and tear (which were queried on the inventory report!). My advice - avoid Martin and Co Medway at all costs!!
I Had many estate agents around proposing silly valuations for my property. Arranged for Century to come, they gave the best valuation, got my house up for sale very quickly, sold my property instantly. Always answered all my questions, re-assured me with any issues or questions I had, Communication was fantastic. Cannot recommend this company enough. Big thank you to Jamie Newbold and team for everything.

This agency is such a headache! I lost my 3 sets of house keys and they are charging me £48 for that! I understand it takes time and money but you're not making the keys out of gold are you to charge that amount?! Also, I asked them if can borrow the keys to make a duplicate out myself but they said no! There are other things as well but this thing triggered me to leave a review 'cause this is a daylight robbery! WE ARE STUDENTS! we barely manage to have money to eat and these people don't leave a chance to suck money out of you! SUCH A SHAME!

Recently dealt with Seekers as a tenant. I found all the staff i dealt with to be very helpful. My situation was a little complicated, but Kym couldn't have been more patient or professional. I was kept up to date with each stage of the procedure and my queries were answered promptly. I was given all the help I needed to secure my rental property, and I was very happy with the outcome and the service I received. Unfortunately as a tenant in their property I can't say the service is good. Emails go unanswered. And today I came home to find an agent from Seekers leaving the property with prospective tenants, without giving me any notice or warning. The place my daughter and I currently call home has had strangers walking around it. Charming !
Karen and Peter at Belvoir have been absolutely brilliant and I am very pleased to recommend their services. They have looked after a short term let for me and also managed my apartment in Rochester for holiday stays. When returning to my property recently after an 8 month let - I couldn't believe how spotless it was. There was no trace that tenants had even been there- brilliant! Every landlords dream :-).
Unprofessional Service. Sarah Boyle rent it a flat to someone else becouse they transfer deposit before me even if we have an appointment.. I do not recommend
This is the second time I have dealt with Audrey and her team and they have delivered once again for me and saved me more money each month. I cannot recommend them enough, fantastic service, quick responses to emails. Well done Medway Mortgage shop see you again in 2 years time ????
Not the best rental agents ....
On first visit to the shop to sign paperwork we were greeted with a lady spraying air freshener as she stated " oh the dogs just pooped in the back office".
Lack of communication.
Awful spelling on customer emails.
Saturday staff saying " we don't know, we only work saturdays".
Overall not impressed and would not use again or reccommend
