1 Star is generous. I AM WARNING EVERYONE - DO NOT BUY A PROPERTY THROUGH BARRATTS! I purchased the 1st property last year through them an it was the biggest mistake ever choosing them to buy through. The quality of the build is terrible, ive also had huge amounts of mold as well as damp. As soon as I exchanged on my property no one cared, I assume that is because the have all been paid their commission. The customer care is disgusting and every person I have dealt with at Barratts very clearly has no clue what they are doing. When i completed on my property, I collected my keys from the site office, walked over to my property, opened the door and there were still 5/6 builders in my apartment doing work! As you can imagine, my first ever property, just collected the keys... so excited and then to enter my property to an apartment full of builders still doing work... I was then told to go and get someone thing eat and then they will be finished...came back and guess what.. they wasn't so I had to wait even longer. There are x2 communal doors that you can enter to the block of apartments and for 4 months neither of the doors would lock so anyone could gain entry at any time, security was a massive issue. I came home 1 day after a long day at work to find 4 teenagers smoking, drinking and playing loud music in the communal area right outside my door. I notified Barratts of the security issue countless times, and only when I put in a huge complaint they "fixed" the issue. Now one of the doors that you couldn't lock, do not open! So again a massive issue in having to walk all the way round the building just to enter the block of apartments. This issue is still on-going 1 year later and still nothing has been resolved. The damp and mold I experienced in my apartment was beyond terrible I had to move back out of my apartment for 1 week for the damp & mold works to be fixed. I STRONGLY ADVISE ANYONE LOOKING TO PURCHASE A PROPERTY, DO NOT BUY THROUGH BARRATT HOMES! THEY ARE THE BIGGEST SCAM IN THE PROPERTY BUSINESS!!!!... Read more
