I would like to say a big thanks to Tracy in particular who has been amazing - emailing weekly to check in, keeping us updated and chasing things up where needed. It has a made the process a lot calmer for us and we can’t thank her enough!

10th Apr 2026 (25 days ago)I had a very disappointing experience with Bourne Estate Agency. While everything was smooth during our stay at the property, the issues began after we vacated. We left the property on the agreed date, handed over the keys properly, and fulfilled all expectations set by both the landlord and the agency. However, it has now been nearly 3–4 months, and we have still not received our deposit back. We have repeatedly reached out via email to request updates and an estimated timeline, but have received little to no meaningful response. Most of the time, we only get automated replies stating that the concerned person is not in the office. This level of communication and lack of accountability is extremely frustrating. If someone is unavailable, there should be a proper system in place to handle tenant concerns this is not something tenants should have to deal with. As per UK regulations, deposits should be returned within a reasonable timeframe after the tenancy ends, which has clearly not been the case here. Overall, I am very disappointed with how this situation has been handled. I would not recommend this agency based on my experience.

During these 8 years Anthony has been consistent in his care & understanding of all the needs that have arisen. He is professional & efficient while having empathy for every changing circumstances. I would highly recommend Global House Estates as a renter. You will be listen to and taken care of.
8th Feb 2026 (12 weeks ago)I felt the agent had a lack of knowledge and understanding of our local area, and was too focused on metrics rather than seeing the advantages of our particular property over some of the other properties around us. I felt there was too much pressure being put on us to drop our asking price after only a few weeks in.

Being new to the country, I was unfamiliar with the rules and requirements for securing accommodation, but Lilly from Foxtons Guildford was an absolute lifesaver. She went above and beyond her job description—she actually met me at the train station and drove me to several different viewings, which was incredibly helpful as I was still finding my way around. She took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for and found the perfect home for me. As English is not my first language, I was worried about the complicated paperwork, but Lilly was so patient. She explained everything in very simple, clear terms so I felt confident in every decision. Even after the deal was closed with the landlord, she has stayed in touch to make sure I am settled. Grantley’s has been the most responsive and professional lettings agents and management company that I have experienced. If I had a buy to let, I would use them. I’m really going to miss my chats with Samantha. Hopefully one day I will either rent a place managed by them or, if fortunate enough, have a buy to let that they manage.

Exemplary practice in communication and resolution of any challenges that presented themselves, during our tenancy with Bourne Estates. A trustworthy, honest estate agents that invests immense value in how they conduct business. Lauren and Harry went above and beyond to help us, even after closing our tenancy with them. 18th Apr 2026 (17 days ago)Satvinder was very helpful in trying to get viewers to buy my property. He communicated well and kept me informed. Can't fault him. He found a buyer for us, unfortunately they didn't have enough deposit to secure the offer and they had to pull out. He then managed to get more viewings. The Iranian was broke out and house price fell and it became a buyer's market, unlucky for us. I think Satvinder was lovely and helpful and will be a good negotiator when provided with more training and support. I hope this review helps, as it is meant in good faith and good spirit and I am grateful for the efforts Chancellors gave.- 10th Mar 2026 (8 weeks ago)Robbie at Curchods was a huge help to us as first time buyers and really helped us feel at ease throughout the process. Friendly, knowledgeable and also efficient, especially in the week in which the contract was completed. 18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
