29th Aug 2026 (8 days ago)Very disappointing handling of deposit return<br><br>I vacated my property on 4 April and, following discussions regarding the proposed deductions, an agreement was reached for £1,168.50 of my £1,788 deposit to be returned.<br><br>Despite the matter being agreed, I am still waiting for the refund almost five months later. I have had to repeatedly chase for updates, and I was recently told that the landlord has not responded and therefore no timeframe can be given for when my money will be released.<br><br>I appreciate that there may be communication required between the agent and landlord, but from a tenant’s perspective, waiting this long for an agreed deposit refund, with no clear timeframe for payment, is extremely frustrating.<br><br>I hope this can finally be resolved and the £1,168.50 returned promptly.<br><br>Vacated the property 6 months ago and have still not received my deposit back even though I have agreed to the landlords deduction for the sake of speeding things up. All I am being told is they now have to wait for the landlord to confirm he’s happy with his own proposed deductions and apparently he is not replying. Seems like this is a reoccurring theme with Bourne regarding them holding onto deposits for extended periods of time as stated in previous reviews from others.<br><br>I personally would not recommend them at this point.
31st Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Deal with this estate agent will be nightmare you prepare to be. just bought a house in guildford. given the offer to the seller. the estate agent pushed price and arrange unrealistic exchange and completion date. this results in the seller withdraw the listing. half year later, the seller is ready to sell. the estate agent disclosure both the sellers and buyers personal information to financial brokers and insurance thirdparties for marketing. during the communication with them, it is hugely unreliable and unfriendly. no customer service and professionalism. at the completion date, the sellers cannot give keys to estate agent and the buyers waste time to wait for the keys to be given. completely rubbish. both the sellers and buyers should be avoid..

They have always been highly responsive to both general queries and to any maintenance required. Grantley always kept us informed of emergency contacts over the holidays, and proactively informed us of upcoming changes to the letting process/legislation. House visits were organised well in advance, allowing us our privacy. Highly recommended!

The team worked hard from the outset and generated a strong level of viewings, which helped us secure a buyer sooner than expected.<br><br>Although the sale itself took longer than hoped due to delays further down the chain, Seymours remained proactive throughout. In particular, Simon Gresswell has been excellent — consistently chasing, pushing, and keeping us updated to move things forward wherever possible. His communication and persistence have been genuinely appreciated.<br><br>Despite the challenges outside of their control, Seymours have been professional, supportive, and committed to getting the sale over the line.

15th May 2026 (16 weeks ago)Unfortunately they were not proactive and the person accompanying the viewings was lacklustre. The feedback was requested by email and through an online form so again there was no positive interaction with viewers to encourage them to get over any concerns they may have had, the feedback given by the second and last viewer was that the decor wasn’t to their liking! I took the property off the market as the only thing they were going to do was want it reduced in price despite pretty much just putting it on rightmove and expecting the house and rightmove to do all the work.

3rd Jul 2026 (9 weeks ago)Mark Collins recently sold a rental property for me , from initial meeting of Mark I knew I wanted to use him to sell my property , I had done some research on what local properties were selling for , Mark was spot on with his valuation so the property sold very quickly , he is always available to speak on the phone or will always call back promptly if hes busy ,he made the whole process stress free, I cant recommend him enough
3rd Oct 2024 (1 year ago)Recently sold a property in Guildford; It was a long and tortuous process complicated by the fact that I am living overseas and was very poorly advised as to finding a settlement agent. A first real estate agent made unrealistic market assertions regarding the market then followed up by passing the work to office juniors. Eventually I re-marketed through Kings and was fortunate to have Bipen working on my property. Bipen personally conducted viewings and found a buyer in reasonable time, then worked to achieve a mutually acceptable outcome; Unfortunately, this was only the start- dealing through disinterested settlement lawyers on both sides of the deal was so tedious that I came close to abandoning the sale; Somehow, and mainly through Bipen’s perseverance and patience, the deal was eventually settled and both myself and the buyer can move on. Many thanks to Bipen for sticking with this one- his diligence was literally the only thing between a sale and returning to the rental market! Great outcome all round- Many thanks!
