Do not use this business there are better agents in Norwich like: abbot fox & Arnold’s keys.
When something goes wrong they leave you out of pocket, hold onto your money and completely in the dark.
They’ll take deposit and not return it, they’ll have the house / flat in un-liveable conditions and do nothing about it when raised as a concern.
They’ll probably reply to this review saying we have no idea who you are and which property it is regarding. STAY AWAY!!!! Common practise of rogue companies like this one. Just look through all the 1 star reviews and you’ll see for yourself, most of their 5 star reviews is fake from friends and family.

We had a really positive experience from our estate agent (Louie White) at Barton and Co. He was really informative and kept us in the loop with any updates of information! We are currently in the process of buying a house and I couldn’t recommend a better estate agent, thank you Louie for your help!

I'd had a bad experience with another agent in the past; with Barton & Co it was the complete opposite. They have been absolutely fanstastic. They did everything I asked with the listing, communicated with me the whole time (even when the market was quiet they kept in touch with updates on what they were doing), always on time, always professional, always available to answer my questions even when it was unrelated to my sale. I honestly couldn't praise them enough. The whole team had a role to play but I have to thank Louie especially as I had the most contact with him. I would highly recommend them and will definitely be using them again.

We signed a tenancy agreement for a student house in the golden triangle in March, in late June, only two months before the move in date and a week before moving back home to Kent, me and my friends were informed our house had been sold to people that wouldn't rent it out and the agent never signed the agreement, which they claimed is "common practice", which it absolutely isn't. We paid all the money they wanted immediately and showed all the commitment they could ask for, yet we were left basically homeless and they completely abandoned us to frantically find somewhere from the leftover student houses to live in next September. Theres no way they didn't know the house would be sold before they signed tenants for it and frankly its disgusting and cowardly of them for not telling us. If you are a student DO NOT go with Barton and Co, there is no trust, transparancy or respect from these people!

Barton & Co have been a breath of fresh air compared to my previous letting agents. They do what they say they will, when they say they will. Their communication has been first class and they are extremely proactive and courteous. My property was let instantly for the amount I was hoping to achieve, with honest and realistic advice provided by Barton & Co. A huge thank you especially to Tom Wells for all of his help and guidance - you have one very happy customer and I would be more than happy to recommend you to others.

I found Barton and Co small enough to care and remember who you are when you call, and dynamic enough to work hard finding a buyer, bringing several serious potential buyers very quickly.
Hannah has been very helpful keeping me updated throughout the process of the sale, which is very reassuring.

Barton and Co manage a number of properties for us. The reason I chose them was because they are independent, a small team and care about their customers. My experience has borne this out and the team have very efficiently managed any issues that have cropped up.

Unprofessional and discourteous.
I attempted to view a property I was interested in purchasing through Barton & Co. My first contact was within 4 hours of the property being listed at which point I asked for a viewing at the earliest opportunity. I then chased this up after receiving no response to be told that I would be contacted as soon as viewings became available. After chasing this up repeatedly for a month whilst being told that I would be contacted as soon as it was available for viewing, without any contact from them apart from when I'd reach out, the property was sold stc. I wasn't contacted at any point with an update or even told that the property had been sold.
If you value your time or value professionalism, communication or honesty when buying a property, do not go through Barton & Co.

Responsive, friendly, helpful and efficient. The team at Barton & Co went above and beyond to advise me regarding my rental property that had not been well looked after. Chris helped me think through the best way to get the property on the market and Hannah kept me apprised of all milestones during the sale process. The end result was a very successful and timely sale. I highly recommend Chris, Hannah and the Barton & Co team and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I approached Barton & Co amongst other local agents to market my grandfathers property after he permanently moved into residential care during the pandemic. But there was a snag.
I live 150 miles away from Norwich and have very little up to date knowledge of the local area, which meant I was reliant on the agent I was selecting having excellent knowledge of the local area and market in addition to being easily accessible on the phone when I needed to speak to someone about the sale.
Barton & Co offered exactly that.
At our initial meeting I was talked through their strategy for selling he property, why they felt this was the right approach to maximise the market value, the costs and how I would be kept informed on the progress. Out of three agents that gave us quotations Barton & Co stood out head an shoulders above the rest in terms of giving a detailed assessment of their strategy, why they felt it would work based on other similar properties sold recently in the area and provided those important customer service guarantees to me.
Boy was a proved right!
The onboarding and marketing process was flawless, viewings and offers came in thick and fast after the property hit all the usual websites and within a couple of weeks I was accepting an offer higher than the price the property was advertised at.
Once we reached conveyancing stages, Barton & Co were proficient at "project managing" the various parties through the process, the usual and expected snags occurred (outside of Barton & Co's control I might add) which they took in their stride and kept me informed throughout the process.
Most importantly, as promised, everyone I spoke to either on the phone or in person was friendly, professional and wanted to do the very best job they could do for me.
I'm a huge advocate of Barton & Co and would recommend them to anyone looking for an agent to market their property in the Norfolk area - my experience has been excellent throughout.
