Not impressed with overall experience/service. They advertised my property for 10 weeks and there has been no contact from them, I did all the chasing. The photographs were amateur, nothing special at all. The description of the property was unimpressive and unenthusiastic. They failed to include facts and had to be prompted to include them. I finally received one viewing from them 9 weeks into contract, not sure how genuine that was. I don’t think they promoted my property to any potential buyer, so have since changed Agents and extremely happy with the professional description and photos. I have high hopes with this new Agent.

House didn't sell, off the market while swapping agents.
The service we were provided was very basic. Photos didn't show the property in the best light and not marketed to it's full potential.
Communication was poor.

Get agent emailed me questions to ask 4 estate agents. I chose Gilson Bailey because the valuer was professional, knowledgeable and gave me good advice. After every viewing I received feedback. Upon receiving an offer, they have moved quickly to get the sale process started. Every member of the team have been very helpful.

Their sales pitch to us about the service they would give was untrue, what they would do to promote our property was untrue, total lack of activity, their description of our property was totally lack lustre so we had to rewrite it highlight the features, photos had to be retaken, no feedback unless we asked for it, no suggestions on how to improve potential buyer interest, NO VIEWINGS during the whole contract period.

We were in the market quite a long time but this could have been because of the timing, summer holidays seemed to be a quiet period. Viewings picked up in Autumn. We would have liked more for our property but as we had been on the market so long it was recommended we accepted.

The initial visit, photos and valuation were all handled professionally, very happy with this part of their service. I liked that they claim to be a local family run business and was happy to support them with my business.
I appreciate that market forces often dictate how much interest the might be in a property for sale. In the 9 weeks my house was on the market I had two viewings arranged and then cancelled...not the fault if the agent ...but in that time didn't have one phonecall from Gilson Bailey to keep me up-dated or to touch base to reassure me. I was very disappointed by their lack of customer service.

Gilson Bailey get the job done. Persistent, proactive and lots of drive to not only find the right buyer, but to push the whole process to completion. They were more informed of the chain than the solicitors and pushed at all times to secure a fast completion.

Listed my home within 24 hours of being instructed. The marketing including photos were high quality. They offer viewings 7 days a week to accommodate prospective buyers. Feedback was provided from viewings. Staff were always very friendly and put absolutely no pressure on to accept offers lower than the asking price.

Excellent service, both for letting ( from a landlord's perspective) and sales.
I have used Gilson Bailey & Partners for two years as letting agents, and subsequently for a property sale. In both situations they have been excellent. David, in lettings, gave impeccable valuation and initial advice, and the Lettings team were always on the ball throughout.
When it came to sell the property, Gilson Bailey had the confidence in their high valuation, which turned out to be correct. One other agent valued the property at 100k less! Jack & Stuart as valuers, and the sales team, Tom, Lauren and Donna were always on hand with their help and advice and ensured everything ran smoothly from viewings to completion. Unruffled by two failed buyers, it was third time lucky with a successful completion. I would happily use them again if needed and would recommend them to anyone else, especially because of their local knowledge.
I have been offered a small incentive to leave a review, but it has in no way influenced my opinion - if I had been in any way unsatisfied I would have said so.

Gilson Bailey , have been outstanding both with selling and buying our recent property. They always went the extra mile with sales and buying, instilling confidence by being 100% professional throughout both of the processes. Always prompt when a viewing was scheduled, and adopted full secure Covid procedures throughout. The turnaround for views was incredible. Couldn't not fault the post sales either. They constantly kept us up to date on how the sales was progressing by phoning, rather than via email. So yes Gilson Bailey is a 5 star company.

From the very start it was a very nice and personal experience dealing with Gilson Bailey. We had valuations from a few agents but we thought Gilson Bailey put the best case forward and did the most amount of research prior to coming to see us.
From there they never let us down. They quickly booked enough viewings to get the house sold within a week of it going online and communicated well throughout the process.
Once the sale was agreed I was even more impressed with how they stayed close and were on hand to help sort out any niggles or snags along the way.
I would describe it as an efficient yet personal service and I would defiantly recommend them and use them again.
