She is friendly, professional and has taken some of the stress away with the whole process. She is a pleasure to deal with and a great asset to the company.
Dealt with Alex and made an above asking price offer and sent a my mortgage in principal to him was assured it would take 24 hours to get back to me, that was on a Thursday......... fri, sat , Monday and still no word from Alex. Which I was upset about as I had told about my sons motorbike accident and the fact his paralysed now and I need a house close to my work to be able to take care of him......Monday I rung 3 times only to be spoken quiet abruptly to be a female who kept telling me i was ringing the “ Letting number “ and couldn’t slam the phone down quick enough. Even though it’s the only number .
Alex was suppose to be in the office again at 1 so by 3.30 I again called and hey presto Alex. Which I was hoping was no news was good new but only to be told he had just got off the phone with the sellers and they had excepted the other offer as they had upped the price over the weekend but when I had spoken to Alex at the weekend he didn’t mention non of this as I would have upped my offer too. I asked why he had not given me the opportunity to increase my offer rather than just shoot me out of the water, again a lot pathetic chat about nothing ( basically telling me lies ). When I asked to speak to the manager Alex said he was busy on the phone yet when I said I’d wait he the turned round and said he went into the office and he wasn’t there. Cannot believe how such a bunch of people can carry on like this- 100% un-professional, no communication skills, they have failed to even give a proper, fair service to all customers.
I would never be wasting my time with them again as they seem very selective in the sales. Personally I would warn all to go else where as talking to others this estate agents is not great for reliability anyway,
Horizon very quickly sold a house for me in Rochford that had previously been sitting on the market for months. I found them hard working, helpful and all around nice people. Best experience I've had with any estate agent to date.
First contact at point of valuation was extremely good. Unfortunately lots of miscommunication from their side afterwards, even got blamed for this. Had to request feedback on almost every viewing.
Seemed that after we signed up it was over to us to sell our property.
Very rarely was anyone ever available to do the viewing when we were told at first that all viewing would be done by the agent as they were the professionals.
They even cancelled a potential buyer who was doing their second viewing instead of postponing viewing by 1 hour.
Shop around for your estate agent. Go elsewhere but if you don’t please be cautious, many many properties on their books for many months at the same price, no advice or feedback on how to sell.
We went elsewhere to Williams & Donovan and couldn’t believe the difference in service, advice and contact.
I found the service provided to be excellent all the members of staff were knowledgeable & helpful & the whole experience was a great deal less strenuous than the previous moves I have made over the years, i would 100% recommend them, well done!

To say that this process has been a journey is an understatement, we’ve had up’s and downs but Paul has been a god send throughout keeping all in the chain including solicitors up to speed with what was going on, we thankfully exchanged today after what seemed like a lifetime!!!!! Yippee!!!!! The team were friendly and approachable and nothing was too much trouble! I would definitely recommend using them for buying/selling. Keep up the great work guys!!! ????
What a journey but we finally got to exchange yesterday thanks to the help from Paul and all the team.After not moving for over 30 years we knew nothing about the process of buying and selling but where talked through every stage. Paul was very kind and reassuring and that helped so much through all the Covid times and especially yesterday, thank you so much to you all

Please see picture attached of what you will not believe is a corn on the cob with courgette. Amazingly this food took 90 minutes to arrive! We were a table of ten and planning on a nice Christmas lunch.. and what a mistake that was! When the food finally arrived after 90 minutes it was burnt to a crisp, whilst the remainder of the table still waited for their food and watched other tables be served ahead of us, the chef was able to cook more chorizo before completing our order! I would not recommend this to anyone, the out dated decor and slippery greasy floors would ensure I never return.... do not waste your time on this one!
Very good service. The referencing process was very quick and easy. The staff were accommodating and helpful. We asked to view the property on a few occasions and they accommodated our requests. We would be happy to recommend Martin and Co Southend in the future.
Not a great service. Was told on viewing the property that it was unfurnished as described in the details. Turned up with moving van and it was fully furnished. our landlord was fab and took care of most of repairs required. MArtin and Co had to do one of the repairs - their plumber did not keep the 1st appointment and then just turned up and expected us to drop everything so he could do the work.
When it came to reletting the property, they did not tell us when they were going in with the keys for viewings and the first we heard that they had done any viewings was when they told us that they had found a new tenant. They had left the bathroom light on all weekend (we had already moved and were paying rent on two properties).
We were entitled to a rent rebate which they were not forthcoming with and after many unsuccessful attempts to contact them by phone we ended up going in to the office to eventually be given the rebate. We are now still waiting for them to authorise the return of the deposit since 25.10.16. When phoned we were told that they only deal with deposits on a Wednesday and they would be doing it today. Fingers crossed ey?!
