Houses built with many problems. Air filtration system not installed properly, garden heavily compacted, electrical in kitchen melted behind the cooker plug and had to get fixed a month into moving into new place. floor uneven and much much more. The area was supposed to get a play park. However, its still not there after 4 years. Otherwise lovely surrounding area. It could do with traffic lights at the entrance or something as the traffic is crazy and everyone speeds and will unfortunately and eventually lead to the injury of someone as the crossing at the moment is at the top of the hill on a blind spot. (This is also the school run for many children on the estate)... Read more

Bought one of these houses in April 2019.
It's about 3 weeks later and my back garden is littered with broken glass and nails.
Long story short, anything to maximise profits and no responsibility taken for poor ethics at any point within the chain discussed below.
I've got a 1 and 2 year old, the thought of trips to A&E for tetanus injections and whatever else under my garden would have resulted in makes me appauled and sick.
I paid for Bloor to lay my rear lawn, given assurances the prep would be complete and I would informed of the date to be laid so I could oversee it, checking quality.
I was not informed of this, discovering the lawn had been laid the day after, 2 weeks prior to completion. It was a terrible job, joins visible, uneven throughout the garden, later discovering nothing but rubble was underneath - plastic, metal wiring from construction, mortar etc.
Bloor eventually agreed to having the whole thing redone - this took a lot of complaining, very annoying as they claim to provide a high standard.
They had their landscapers remove the shoddy turf and actually lay topsoil prior to the relay.
I wish they hadn't.
The topsoil they laid was an off grey colour, upon further inspection of a colourful spot I discovered a plastic rawl plug, next to it a shard of glass, within an arms length of that more glass and even a nail. After a minute or so walking round the garden it became apparent that the topsoil was riddled with broken glass, rusty nails and plastic.
I wonder what else they've dumped in my garden to slowly work its way through the turf for my children to hurt themselves on over the years?
Needless to say I've reported them to the local council, environment agency and trading standards.
The level of greed for profits is disgusting.
Why don't bloor ensure they source correct products or oversee contractors work?
I can't believe people exist that consciously make these decisions putting their customers in danger, or that they have people working for them that are complicit in this. How did a team of people pour this down and find it acceptable? The glass and nails are UNMISSABLE.
Sales office communication with the site and their ignorance to Bloor's legal resulted in us finding out there were delays to our purchase twice, both at short notice, eventually completing 2 weeks or so late - not ideal for people on tight timeframes or who have already arranged removals etc....
