10th Apr 2024 (28 days ago)Although we didn’t end up buying through Connells in Eastleigh (we bought through their Romsey branch), Dan, Hobbie and Hayden could not have been more helpful. They took time to understand our needs, explained everything in as much detail as we needed, and even gave honest advice relating to properties being sold by other agents when asked (those other agents, incidentally, didn’t appear to have the level of knowledge Connells do). We truly felt like Connells were working with us to find the right property at the right price, rather than just wanting to sell to us. Highly recommended from a buyers perspective.

Charlie came to estimate the sale price of my house and was really upfront and honest, I felt I could trust him immediately as he was saying his honest opinions rather than what I might want to hear as other estate agents had done. Frances was great througout, arranging my viewing of properties for me to buy and always prompt and helpful. Then finally Sam has been really tenacious in getting my purchase through and driving the solicitors onwards. Thanks to you all so much! A really great experience.

I had a massive issue on the night of the 27th of March when storm Nelson hit. I tried to secure the sliding door that goes to the balcony and the mechanism system just broke whilst the door was half opened. I had hailstones and water coming inside the flat + the awful winds. I couldn't sleep that night but I contacted Mitch earlier in the morning and explained my urgent situation and how I need it urgent help and he was really amazing. He understood the urgency of the issue and made sure to coordinate a maintenance team to help fixing the sliding door (provisionally) so no more water could come in. Thanks Mitch.

27th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)In the past few months, I tried to buy a property through an agent. I sent many emails but got no replies. When I called, they always said the property was already sold. Even when I saw a listing on Rightmove and called them, they said I couldn't view it and would have to wait over two weeks. This hasn't just been my experience, but also that of my friends. They say the staff are not helpful, especially with arranging viewings. It seems they don't want buyers to see properties, and it takes too long to schedule a viewing. This service is not acceptable, and I can't recommend the company.

They managed well dealing with a probate situation, incompetent solicitors and Christmas timetables. The sales team were sensitive to uncomfortable situations and their closure team was tenacious and undertook the necessary steps to keep the momentum going. I would easily recommend them and wish them all the best with their future sales. It's nice to have a local company deal in their local area of expertise, rather than dropping in from afar.

Ceri is excellent with tenants, and very proactive, which minimises our involvement, although anything major is always discussed with us. if there are any questions to which we need answers, Ceri has virtually always replied the same day, and sometimes within seconds or minutes of being asked! A real treasure! Tony and Sue Rogers.
19th Apr 2024 (19 days ago)Where do we start? Jackson Bailey were 10/10 when selling our home. During what was an incredibly protracted process, which took six months from start to finish; Ben and the team kept in continual contact and chased where needed to ensure that the relevant progress was made. Having sold with JB, but purchased through a useless purple online agent (whose own ‘sales progression’ service was dreadful, talk about ‘commisery!’); Ben had to step-in and liaise on both our sale and purchase; doing the job of our seller’s agent at times too! Communication was clear, constant and effective, and we found the WhatsApp group an excellent way of getting updates outside of normal working hours. A refreshing change from having to leave constant voicemails to other agents in the chain. Overall, a justifiably FIVE STAR service from Jackson Bailey. We would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking to sell in the local area and cannot thank them enough for their efforts.
6th Apr 2024 (5 weeks ago)Do not rent any property associated with Nexa especially if you are young!! We have had endless issues since renting through Nexa properties which they are still yet to acknowledge/resolve. These issues include damp within the property (black mould and mushrooms growing), leaking boiler, no hot water for days at a time, lack of security (windows that do not close), we were also without a shower for 3 months. If you are a young person they do not attempt to fix or resolve any issues you have until you threaten the council or not paying rent!

We have 2 small children and nothing gets repaired, the shower doesn't work properly the washing machine is draining into buckets among several other issues that affect our daily life unfortunately we still have 9 more month to go.

18th Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

30th Jan 2024 (14 weeks ago)After making the tough decision to sell my property, I then had an even more difficult decision to make in choosing which Estate Agent to list with. Through experience, I knew which agents that I definitely did not want to use and this left me with a handful of options to consider. I met with 3 different Estate Agent representatives and I knew immediately after my consultation with Oliver Chandler that I wanted to use them. Not only do they have many years of experience working in the industry, they also valued my input regarding valuation, the 'process' to take in adjusting to the market and most important of all; the urgency to get my property onto the market. My property was listed the next day! Oliver Chandler gave a genuine and personal service that is lacking in most industries these days, particularly the Estate Agent business. They went above and beyond in dealing with all aspects of my house viewings, sale and purchase. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Do yourself and favour and chose Oliver Chandler as your Estate Agent, you will not regret it.

I have multiple requests but they were able to accommodate and help me with those. I was in contact particularly with Ash and he is very responsive and attentive to my needs. Also, they are very systematic with the process. Would definitely recommend them!
