I can't speak highly enough about the team at the Ashby de la Zouch branch. Although my wife and I decided in the end against selling our home, I cannot fault the staff, especially David, Lizzie and Henry, their organisation, communication, commitment, first class attitude and their willingness to go the extra mile to try to get the result we wanted. While looking for a property we couldn't find we had dealings with other estate agents who weren't in the same league as John German. They were superb.... Read more

We have just sold with John German Ashby branch and cannot praise the whole team enough. David who came out to do the valuation was fantastic - straight talking in terms of realistic value but listened and understood our personal situation and worked with us in terms of a plan - at the end of his visit he left us confident that he really wanted to sell our house, we knew how he was going to do it and when we got offers they were spot on with what he said we could achieve. Lara Beth and Henry were patient, efficient and warm and friendly whilst arranging all the viewings. But a special mention has to go to Lizzie who was just amazing! We recently tried to purchase a property through John German, and despite the owner pulling out of the sale in the end, I was very impressed with the service I received from Lizzie and Iain during the process. Lizzie was fantastic during negotiations and really personable, and Iain kept me updated on our progress regularly and chased solicitors on our behalf – they were much better than the estate agents we used to sell, and I would DEFINITELY use John German in future! The team at John German were amazing. The property I sold was not with them, only the one I was purchasing. I had issues with my first time buyers and their solicitors and Lizzie at John German was on the case even though she was at the top of the chain. I can't fault the assistance given by Lizzie and her team. It was even better than the estate agents I used to sell my property. Lizzie was on the ball, helpful and did all she could to ensure that the purchase went through. The staff were always friendly and polite. If it was not possible to immediately answer a query they would always promptly call back. Despite being the property buyer (and so not directly employing John German) they were far more efficient and urgent in seeing to completing the purchase than my own mortgage advisor or conveyancer. Imagine how horrified we are today to find that our daughter and granddaughter are homeless after John German informed us 15 hours before the arranged moving time that the property my daughter was due to rent was being taken off the rental market by the landlord and being placed on the sales market instead. This after being assured that all was well and her arranging completion dates around their advice to move out of her sold property. They have shown no sensitivity or concern. We sold with John German on two occasions in the past and were not disappointed. This time they were the agent for the property we wanted to buy, so it made sense to place the sale in their hands again. The advice and support we received from the outset was outstanding. There was a genuine interest in our property's appeal and potential. Sales particulars were expertly prepared over Easter and the requests for viewings came immediately and in quick succession. We were kept fully informed about the timing of appointments, which were capably handled for us by Linda. Helpful feedback on each viewing was provided. In all aspects of our sale and the purchase, we were kept fully informed of developments. Any queries we had were quickly addressed.
