Fantastic service, outward and return journey's cab arrived spot on time, text messages confirm booking, and when driver's arrive, fixed price , friendly drivers, EFF off uber with your fluctuating prices, support your local taxi services before uber, bolt etc put them out of business, then you will have to pay whatever they want.Oh, and Nick, you are a credit to your company.

Booked a cab online 4 days ago from Clapton to Kings X. This morning had a train to catch for a special birthday weekend. Got a text message to say cab was late after the due time. Couldn’t get through to an operator. After 20 minutes had to ask a neighbour to drive us to a local station to get public transport. Cab apparently arrived 30 minutes after its due time. We had 4 non refundable train tickets booked. We made our train with 5 minutes to go, no thanks to Sam’s cars. Very stressful running with children through train stations. Awful service. DO NOT USE.

Booked a transfer in the early morning to the airport which arrived 15 minutes late and then my pickup the same evening was also 15 minutes late. Called for compensation on my next airport journey and they said no, so I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. Short sighted and poor customer service.

I've used Sam's Cars multiple times now, mostly for airport pickups in the middle of the night and will gladly book again. Great service, always friendly people on the phone and the drivers wait for you, even if the plane is delayed (I called ahead to give a heads-up) one less thing to worry about when you just wanna get home after flight delays. Special shout out to Farhan, great driver.

Was recommended sams cars by someone. Really good service because unless you have a pet in London then only yourself will know how Difficult it is to travel on public transport or if you don't drive. No problems apart from one driver. Other drivers no issues . Now I had pre booked saying had a pet.And when I saw the driver I just knew he wasn't happy. Why accept the fare in the first place? I walked all the way to my destination. 1.the driver was paid for a journey that didn't happen. Also when I tried to explain the next day I was left with a horrible choice of no Refund and myself and my pet no longer allowed to use sam cars is that fair if he wasn't happy should not of accepted the booking.i hope that driver is very happy with himself. #discrimination

I’ve used Sam’s cars now a few times and their customer service is excellent. They’re a bit more “expensive” than the bigger apps but you know you’re getting a top service and they don’t cancel last minute and take ages to come like the bigger apps where you can wait around for up to 30 minutes for a pre booked cab.
One journey we found out the train station we were going to to take us to the airport was not operating due to train strikes and the driver let us out free of charge (he couldn’t drive us to the airport as he had another job booked and it was early hours in the morning) but a lot of cab companies would of charged you a minimum charge as we’d already gotten into the cab and started a journey but Sam’s cars didn’t, top marks for the driver ????
Definitely will always use for future booking trips where pre booking is required

Sams used to be reliable buy is now terrible. They now use typical mini cab exuses for bad service, last two expeeiances:
25 minutes late for prebooked pickup to AirPort
20 min late for prebooked pickup of grandcild from school,
Avoided, use Uber or black cab

I’m surprised about so many bad reviews. We used Sam’s cars multiple times for airport transfers. They have always been reliable, on time, and communicated well before. They also have never forgotten the extra booked car seat like a lot of other companies. We will use again.

Have used this can company multiple times and on 3 occasions I’ve been given a price in my messages before hand yet at the end of the journey the driver has told us to give them more money? One time the reason was because we had shopping we had to pay £3 extra on our journey then the other times the driver said that was his price and they didn’t need to explain. Very confused about this as when I get given my receipt by phone they haven’t said we paid there extra fees, but instead the price that I was messaged before hand.

Driver arrived 20 minutes late. I was clear when booking the day before that the trip was to Paddington - and getting a train (the driver was lovely, it wasn't his fault). The customer service was terrible. Delays happen, I appreciate that, but you need to understand the customer needs to be accurately kept up to date, especially when it is time sensitive. I will never use this company again. It is not worth the stress.

Driver was an hour late for an airport pickup. Arrived without petrol, we ended up circling the airport looking for petrol. Took double the time that the train would have taken for double the price. Beyond useless, save your money, get the train.

Unreliable: Driver arrived without car seat although I had booked it. Also they completely underestimated the timing although they knew it was an important hospital appointment. Missed the appointment and still had to pay for doc appointment and taxi.

Called to change my booking, they confirmed the change and then they didn’t even send a car. When I called the car took forever to come even if they told me the car was waiting outside.
They also don’t mention it’s cash only and then expect you to pay cash when you arrive at destination - they lock your luggage in the car and force you to take cash out. Terrible service, just get an Uber!!

Driver crashed into the back of my car and lied to insurance company as he only had third party insurance not trustworthy!!!!!!!! I am also pregnant and driver had no regards for my welfare avoid using this company……….. in replied to your comment. Yes, this is between me and the driver and I called to inform you as it was during working hours. He was working for your company at the time of the accident. So yes my review still stands and I don’t expect any involvement from you. I just wanted to inform you of the type of people you have working for your company who represent you!! I don’t think it’s very professional to have a liar and a conman representing your business.

ACCESSIBILITY: 1 adult with wheelchair. This job was booked by Hackney Council. They have three accessible taxis for wheelchair users for Hackney. You have to let them know whether it's foldable or not. The waiting time was 3h for a same day booking.

Fantastic service. Had a mishap on Monday night that meant I needed to get around London unexpectedly.
Was far from home and in abit of a spot. Was given Sams cars number with a recommendation, and they were superb.
3 cars, 3 journeys and all excellent drivers, knowledgeable, with immaculate vehicles with virtually no wait time.

Pre paid and booked in advance early morning transfer from central London to Heathrow for international flight. Text message from company 2 minutes before car due to arrive - car late. After multiple calls car finally arrives 32 minutes after booked time. Unacceptable. Catching the tube would be leas stressful!

Booked and paid for a people carrier for the whole family for a flight early hours. They turned up with a hatchback. I complained and they blacklisted us, as if we’d ever use them again anyway. Call handler day before said they were short of drivers so couldn’t always guarantee collections as well. Really, really poor - avoid.

Extremely unreliable. I booked a pick up for 1am two weeks in advance through their website and pre-paid £260. Two days before they emailed to say there was a "surcharge" and that they would only pick us up if we paid another £91! The following day (one day before the journey) they then cancelled the booking entirely, leaving me and my girlfriend stranded in the middle of nowhere. When we spoke on the phone to explain that we had no other way to travel home, Sam's cars still refused to honour the booking and just said they were too busy with other jobs due to the tube strikes.

My sister and I recently used Sams Cars when going on our holiday! What a time to pull a tube strike! They were on time and got us to the airport in more than enough time for us to enjoy duty free! The service was fantastic and the driver was really, really friendly. The car was spotless and was amazingly comfortable. The booking process was smooth and easy when calling and the handler was super friendly. Will definitely be using Sams Cars again, and not just for an airport run.

Booked and paid for cab online. Got a text and email confirmation. No cab arrived. Called office. My perfectly OK credit card had been declined. They couldn't sort me out a cab for over an hour. Don't bother with these guys they are total loosers
And now the response is that I booked the cab incorrectly!! Please! I booked online. I got a text confirmation. If my card failed their system should pick it up and contact me!! My card is valid. I could have paid cash. This is boring!! Their systems don't work . Please don't contact me again to explain your IT inadequacies

Sam’s worked so hard to get us to the airport on time for our flight back to Australia. The train strike made the drive very slow and our driver constantly looked for the speediest path through. Excellent service and definitely recommend.

Ordered a taxi by phone 2 hours in advance of booking time. Asked operator if I could pay by card with driver which he confirmed. Taxi arrived 30 mins late and refused to got through congestion zone despite this being confirmed when I booked. Caused me to miss my traini and subsequentpy flight. Extremely unprofessional, avoid at all costs. More expensive and much less convenient than a Uber/bolt

And I had seen a lot vehicle of sams car if vehicle was booked in for service or part they always gone extra mile getting genuine part, never missed appointments always on time
I love the idea of company doesn’t look for cheap options, not worrying how expensive genuine parts are like other car owner they look for cheap parts
Keep good work up and most drivers they have have lovely smile good to talk to unlike other company’s and drivers

Do not use Sam's Cars. We've used them on two occasions: the drivers arrived late in both times, and in one, did not want to make the additional effort to deliver my family to their destination due to one-way streets in the area. Sam's Car's is not a scam -- they're just bad at what they do.

I ordered a cab last night, for today 8.20am. I received a text to say the cab would be 10 mins late, which was fine as I did book it to arrive a bit earlier, as I had a blood test booked. After the ten minutes it still did not show up, I then rang sam’s and was told it would be with me in 5mins.. it eventually showed up at 8.50am and my appointment was at 9.15am. Luckily my husband got me to the appointment, only a few mins late.. I would not recommend Sams as they seem to not have any concept of time, and the importance of why people book cabs.

I'm so disappointed in this cab service! I've booked 4 cabs now with plenty of notice for my appointments but each time they haven't turned up when I've booked and then I keep phoning to get the cab but today was the last straw didn't turn up on time and when I phoned didn't get here till over 20 minutes past their time which made me so late for my appointment they place cancelled when I phoned up tried to make it my fault

Have booked three times and this will be the last. Always late, this time 15 minutes. Driver was rude and very unhelpful and arrived in a little Prius that he drove constantly pumping the pedal, rocking you back and forward with force. Made for an uncomfortable 1.5hr drive. Could have just ordered an Uber Comfort for the same price and got a better car and service.

Pre-booked for an early ride to Gatwick. Car showed up 15 mins late with no explanation or apology. Driver then took a wrong turn and drove in the wrong direction for 10m only noticing when I told him he was going the wrong way. Leaving 1 star because we still made it to the airport - but clearly Uber would have been a better option. My mistake.

Highly disappointed to say the very least. Have used sams cars for many years. Today they made my child late for
School despite me having booked the cab half an hour in advance. One controller told me the driver was 1 road away and then when I called back was told the driver was more than 5 mins away from my pick up location it’s now 853 and I’m still not in my cab my child still isn’t at school

Just the nicest, most professional local cab firm. We had a nightmare journey to an airport with a closed M25 and a detour to another airport, with two tiny kids getting stressed in the back of the cab, and they could not have been more helpful, both the driver and the team at HQ. We'll always book Sam's Cars when we're travelling.

This Taxi service is excellent. They take my grandaughter to and from school and other excursions. The drivers are very friendly and always have a good morning to me. They are very good with my grandchild, and she had nick names for all of them. I would reccomend this service to anyone with children in the vulnerable area as the drivers know what to say and when in particular they are great at calming a bad situation into a good...if there were more stars i would rate much higher...because the service is brilliant.

This is the worst cab service going after booking a cab and being told a wait of 15-20 I waited nearly ONE HOUR for the cab eventually arriving and the worst part is I booked online. They NEVER rang me with updates I was the one who kept calling. Definitely do not use them - they are not fit for purpose ????????????

If a cab is booked for a time the driver must turn up at the specified time or at least somebody should call to tell about the expected delay - these are the basics of a taxi service.
The lack of customer care is a concern as it appears to me that there is no consistency on the service delivered by the various drivers. Will never use it again!

I'll leave 1 star until I meet a nice driver, all of them are rude, disrespectful and drive insanely bad, no care at all for the customer, I wouldn't use them if they weren't the cheapest option, I guess they don't care.

Very bad experience. I’ve used this company for years and today I had left my phone in the car which I was very sure of, and the driver had definitely stolen my phone drivers details are Black Toyota Prius+MPV, Reg No. LO18 CZE. Please avoid this company. I called up to sort it out only for the cab man to turn up and tell me nothing was left in the car and didn’t allow me to search myself.

Was waiting at the bus stop this morning, a driver from your company parked the car, came up to me and asked me if I wanted a ride, kept hovering around me - I was shaken by the experience, I was extremely scared. I have never used this service before and it's a shame that one of your drivers have given me such an unprofessional view of your company.

Booked a cab with a baby seat for a return airport trip, for the pickup the cab turned up with correct baby seat bjt on the journey to the airport the cab was 15 minute delayed and most seriously of all the cab turned up without the necessary seat. Payed a premium for the cab and all they offered was £5 reduction. Has been my number one cab firm before but will not use again. SAD!

I always use Sam's when I go to the airport, and call them when I land in case they have a car in the area. Really reliable, friendly and they send receipts to my email. Definitely my preferred option.

I have been using Sams cabs for a while now but won’t be again after today. Booked my friends in for an airport transfer. Driver was late, rude and charged my friends extra for baggage when everything clearly fit easily. He kept insisting on cash payment for the excess too. Seemed dodgy. Would have been cheaper and a better experience to book an Uber instead.

Really disappointed. I have been using Sams for a few years now, and when ever they do a airport pick up they, never come to meet, instead the drivers usually get you to walk out to random drop off points, especially awkward when travelling with children and bags. Not what they actually say they will do, which is a meet and great, on time.

I’ve had good experiences with Sams in London’s and to airports for years, but consistently awful service if arranging pick up from airports... 3 times now they have not been there on my arrival and I’ve had to wait over 40 min each time. I keep hoping it was a one off problem as the service is otherwise good.
This most recent time though was particularly bad!
I ordered a cab to pick me up from Heathrow as had a meeting to get to in central London and was going to be cutting it close on timings. I had checked a few options and this was going to be fastest. On arrival at Heathrow, the cab was no where to be found
I had to wait 45 min for the cab and every time I called to ask when the the cab would arrive I was told 5 min. The last time I called I was just hung up on.
Once in the cab my sister who I was traveling with me asked if they could add a stop (same postcode, one road over, which we would literally be driving past. They then said they would charge an additional £10 for the stop... which we only needed because they had been so late.
Totally unreliable service.

Very dishonest. Avoid! Preordered a taxi for 4.30am with my wife and 5 month old daughter based on 2 checked in bags and hand luggage. Driver waited until car was loaded, with the baby, then increased the fair apparently because the amount of luggage (even though it was within baggage allowance criteria, fitted into the car comfortably and later accepted by BA). Then held us to ransom until we agreed to pay the increase! Best to avoid and use an honest company

Could not have been more explicit that we needed a Ford Galaxy. We won’t fit in anything smaller I said. No problem they said.
What happens? A dinky little estate shows up, late, and we can’t fit in. We call the dispatcher. You didn’t ask for a Galaxy he says. I most certainly did, I say. Well, we don’t have any, he says.
45 minute delay this cost us for a very expensive flight.

I booked a cab in advance to take 5 people with luggage to gatwick airport at 3am, the cab office managed to mess up the booking twice firstly booked the car for the wrong day then when i called up to check they rectified that then a few hours before we were going we called to check again and they booked a five seater instead of a 7 seater. The lady i spoke with was very rude and was trying to pass the blame over to me when it was clearly their fault. I would not recommend using this cab office for airport bookings as they are unreliable.

ordered a taxi and the driver changed the fare price. When questioned he reduced the price to the pre agreed fair. Then gave me foreign currency to make the fare to what he sugessted it should have been. I have used Sams cars for many airport runs but won't be short changed out of principal by snide representives of sams cars.

Booked a cab last minute this morning and they were able to get someone out to me very quickly, i didn't have cash, the driver didn't have an issue with taking me to the cash machine... 1st cash machine didn't work. He had no issue with taking me to another and didn't ask for anything extra. I was happy to tip him because of this. Great service from start to finish and on this occasion cheaper than Uber.

DO NOT BOOK on their website. I did and my card went through (got the email to confirm) and they had no record of it. They only sent a car after me calling - had no idea when it would turn up - that's what they actually said on the phone. Then when I got out they tried to charge me again, even though I had email and card. I called them and got abuse from them and the driver. I WILL NEVER USE AGAIN!!!

I always use Sam's for getting to and from the Airport - I think they are a really good service, the drivers are punctual and drive well and take good routes. I would highly recommend using them. They also, heroically, managed to get my phone back from someone who'd nicked it after I dropped it in the taxi on a late night trip home from Heathrow. They went above and beyond the call of duty and I was hugely appreciative of their efforts. These guys are a brilliant local minicab office, don't hesitate to use them.

Fantastic company. We used sams cars for pick up from london euston and return the next day. We had text messages confirming car and registration so we knew who was picking us up. We decided to come home earlier so had to change our pick up by a few hours and this was done with no problems at all. The drivers were helpful and friendly and i would definitely use sams cars again and reccomend to anyone.

Used to use Sam's a lot but will now just use Uber. My last 5 drivers for airport pickup have been 25-30 minutes late. Always an excuse. Phone operators are poor. Sam'a used to be cheap, friendly and reliable. Unfortunately now they are none of those things.

Kinda glad I didn't read the reviews first as I might have been put off, but my experience was very positive. Woke up late and missed my coach to stansted, and needed a taxi to come right away. Called at 5.15am and they came right away to pick me up. Friendly driver and a fixed price of £40 and it got me there the same time as the coach would. Very pleased.

I will never use Sams cars again. I paid with a credit card but the driver insisted on cash when I reached my destination. I phoned the company who admitted responsibility and said they would arrange a refund. One month later I haven't received the refund and I've made my 8th phone call to hopefully resolve it this time.

Have used SAMs cars for 3 years for all my frequent air travel and have always found them to be good - until this time. They quoted me a unrealistic pick up time, arrived late after that pick up time and I missed my flight encurrung nearly £700 in changed flight charges. When I rang up to feedback I reached a v helpful woman called Dee who agreed that I was given an unrealistic quote and that I should email customer service. I did, and again, they agreed with their mistake and refused to do anything about it. They then ignored me for a further 3 emails when I said I had no option but to discontinue their service.
I go back and forth from various airports twice a month and in this age of uber, the fact that they would ignore a valued and polite customer is shocking to me.
Their customer service is appalling and there is no way I can ever use them again. At least uber actually look after their customers.

Called from Gatwick to arranged to be picked up at Victoria station. Was asked to call when I was 20 minutes away on the train. I did. Suffice to say I called several times was given various times whilst standing in the freezing cold. Gave up on television end and got a black taxi (more reliable)
Not very good support from the controller who claimed the manager was not available. I wouldn't recommend them as they clearly don't care about customer services. I will be using their rivals such as Defoe cars or their nearby competitors after reading the reviews and my experience!
Please avoid. Maybe they will learn when customer vote with their feet.

We have been using SAMs cars for years - always good. except this time. They sent a surly edgy driver in a Mercedes for a booked and quoted London to Gatwick job at 5am in clapton. He Opened the boot and did not say one word except he demanded £7 to put a car seat in back for our baby. This is not the quoted or stayed company pricing policy at £2 extra for car seat. we had a heated exchange because of it. I asked him to ring his boss. Upon which he refused to take us demanding the company falsely send an expensive estate model. The company thankfully did send another car. Our originally requested and preferred hybrid Toyota model (the main reason we use them) It all fitted fine in boot without any hassle from the new driver, We are wary to risk booking with SAMs again, the driver they sent was not working for their company he was working under his own rules without an understanding of making customers feel at ease. SAMs news to spend time in training and vetting their all their drivers.

This has to be the most racist cab services available in london. I booked this cab for my girlfriend it was the only available cab service at the time, but I soon started to regret that after my girlfriend informed me that the cab driver was questioning our relationship with me because of my skin colour. She told that the cab driver went on to say that she's lowering herself by being with a black man, and to top it off he then went on to say that our kids would end up turning out disabled. This sickening and discriminating cab driver had alot to say due to my skin colour.

One of the only companies with baby car seats. Had booked a baby seat but taxi arrived without it. Driver was cordially asked to go back and pick one up. Given he came early it wasn't a problem. We booked them again to pick us up from Gatwick airport after our hols.the driver was super friendly and professional. No problems at all.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Can't be bothered to write all the details of how the driver was late and took me to the wrong place and the operator was very rude in dealing with me.
I don't know how such companies are allowed to operate at all...DO NOT USE THEM!!!!

Been using for years, not any more sadly. Booked a cab for 7.30 as had flight in City airport at 8.40 - more than enough time for the 18 min journey. Called them at 7.38 as no sign of car only to be told he was 10 mins away, ie: 20+ mins late. How come no one called us to say so? Finally arrives at 7.50. Real shame... Sort it out Sam! Want to support local business but stuff like this makes it hard...

I've used them quite a few times and never had problems, cars are clean and drivers are nice. I've recently booked a car from LGW to Islington, my flight got diverted, and the driver waited for us for four hours and he didn't even ask for a penny more than the agreed price!

Ordered a cab and it never came. After about 20 min of waiting I called them again and found that they hadn't even sent a cab out yet ( I live only around the corner from them so it shouldn't have take more than 5 min tops to get one over to me). They had no explanation as to why it took 20 min to send a car out. When I told them that because of them I had missed an important meeting, the man on the phone didn't seem to care and didn't even apologize.

DO NOT USE - booked a cab for my intern who had to drop some samples to a client using Kabbee and my credit card on Kabbee. Despite it all going through, when my intern arrived at the destination, he was told the trip had not been paid for. It seems that despite being given the option and being able to select and enter details, some cab companies on Kabbee do not accept cc bookings. At no point was this ever flagged. When I called Sam's directly to pay over the phone they refused. The lady who I spoke to was stupid, useless and really rude. At the same time, the driver basically threatened and held my intern hostage till he paid cash and then to make matters worse demanded £12 for an £8 fare. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, IT IS NOT SAFE and they will try and rip you off.

Booked a taxi pickup very close to their HQ 12 hours in advance for a 7.30 pickup to go to City Airport. They called 2 mins before pickup time to say things are busy and a different driver being sent. Driver showed up 20 mins late - terrible. Also when calling the office they repeatedly put the phone down on me. The driver had also been sent to the wrong address - seems he was only given a pub name several hundred metres away even though I specified the address. Won't use again.

Sam's? More like SCAM'S. I used Sam's to move a few things from my old flat to a new flat, and when I booked them minicab, I specifically asked for a MPV "to move a few things." I was quoted at £12. The driver came, loaded the vehicle with my things, then 2 minutes into the journey, he calls the Sam's office, says something in a language I didn't understand to the guy on the phone, then hands the phone over to me. The guy on the other end tells me they charge extra to move freight, rather than people, and I should have know that when booking my "six-passenger vehicle." I told him I didn't book a six-passenger vehicle because I didn't have any passengers to transport, and I was never questioned about exactly what I was moving when I booked the vehicle. At that point, he got very angry and said if I wasn't going to pay, he would instruct the driver to unload my belongings right onto the street. This is an issue beyond bad service--how can a company run like this, sneaking in extra charges AFTER you're loaded into their vehicle, then further harassing and threatening the customer? Beware when you take SCAM'S cars. Or just call Premier--they're so much better--they don't threaten their customers.

Used to use Sams all the time, but won't be doing so after a recent experience, when I booked a car three days in advance because, you know, I wanted to be on time for something. Ten minutes after the booked time, I rang them, and got a vague "everything's running late this morning". No sorry, obviously. Fifteen minutes later I rang again, and they insisted the driver was five minutes away. Someone turned up fifteen minutes later, and told me they'd only been booked for the job five minutes beforehand. Three-quarters of an hour late, and the only person who apologised was the unfortunate driver.

Horrible, 25 minutes late. We were waiting to go to Gatwick Airport and was a nightmare. Late and everytime we called them it was 5 minutes more. Appart of the contradictory excuses when we asked for a reliable time for the arrival he ended up shouting at us by the telephone. Last time I booked they were a bit late, this one is going to be tha last one.

We have used Sam's cars for years, and have recommended it to many friends. Drivers used to arrive early, and really know the area. Our last three bookings have not been good. 2 of them have been late, which could have been a real problem, as we were off either to catch a train or going to a show.
The office gave us bogus excuses (traffic), which the drivers themselves contradicted (one of them had forgotten the child seat we'd requested, and gone back to get it, the other one had received the booking really late) - it's taking customers for idiots to lie so blatantly.
The final injury is the last driver, who really didn't know the area, that we saw drive up a one way street in the wrong direction (they had to back away once a car in the RIGHT way arrived), then proceeded to completely ignore all GPS instructions (which were correct) to take us for an unnecessary spin round the houses. So the guy was late, the office lied, he didn't know what he was doing and he took ages longer to get there.
I called the office to complain, but no apologies was offered, and was told instead that they would guarantee us a better service next time we used them. They didn't say HOW they would ensure this. Basically, after YEARS of using them, I'm not ready to even try to find out. So from now on, we're taking our custom elsewhere.
A real shame as Sam's Cars used to offer really excellent service, but it's now completely gone down the pan. Avoid.
