Still charging a fee after canceling the subscription.
In addition, the first annual fee that I paid was $32. They charged again the next year after I canceled the service, and they charged $79.99 this time.

Nasty company. Stealing money. Just got charged for one year subscription without warning. Better to make a detour of this App. People lives hard lately not a human being behavior.

Terrible customer service! They don't answer phones, and it takes forever for an email response. They only care about taking your money. Once they charge your card, they will not give a refund under any circumstance. Even if you request it minutes after it was charged. Another reviewer mentioned a money back guarantee; that's laughable!

A really cool app. Loving the live lessons. I think it's a more serious app compared to Duolingo and the rest of them. It feels like I'm actually learning Spanish

Please avoid this company. They are sneaky in taking auto renewal payments without reminders, especially given the current crisis ww are going through. I used to like the app and company but they will see in the long run that this way of doing business will backfire on them.

Auto-renewed my subscription with no warning. Unapologetic customer service and frankly Babbel and others seem to offer a much better system without cheeky renewals.

This company , they take money from our account illigally, even we dont want to continue premium account. after one day of payment they did avtomattically, they said not possibble to cancel. pay attention to this. very tricky - tricky way of behaviour. also in the bill, they dont write full information about ammount and credit card

I noticed a monthly payment going out to this company recently. Have no recollection of using it, but suspect I must have done a free trial some years ago while learning Mandarin Chinese and found it useless. The customer service person agreed to close my account but didn't refund me, quoting some small print I had apparently agreed to. Very sneaky way of deliberately obscuring the facts so that people trialing a product for free end up paying without knowing.

Busuu HQ is a really beautiful office: spacious workspace, lounge area covered with bean bags, free snacks and drinks, and tons of talented people working on the awesome language learning app! Was here to participate in a Spanish intro test for their research and had a pleasure to meet a few Busuu employees. Awesome experience, glad I could visit this office!
