I’ve recently began a tenancy with IDM and haven’t experienced better customer service. As an agency, they’ve prioritized my convince and happiness. I locked myself out recently and an estate agent, not responsible for managing my property, went out of her way to help me outside of business hours. And I got back into my flat. They do not deserve the 1 star that I have no choice in giving them. If you go to their office with a problem their initial response will be to acuse you first. Update 27/03/2019 Visited their offices and talked to the management. Seems to me they are decent people (will add one "star" for this) but probably overstretched with what they have to deal with, because our front of house lights still not fixed. --- Takes month to resolve anything. Guess what happens if you stop chasing? Nothing will be resolved. Front of House faulty light reported 13th of November 2018. Two electrical engineers have visited over the 3 month and could not fix it. The excuse makes me laugh: We can't source the light bulbs. 5th of March 2019 and we are still waiting for IDM to source lightbulbs.... Read more

Steer clear! Terrible customer service, flat with defects, did not complete snagging and mysteriously lost our snag list. Extremely rude and unhelpful staff, takes AGES to get an answer or get anything fixed. Would not recommend to anyone looking to buy property - flats look shiny and nice on the outside until you find all the problems and cowboy building!... Read more

I bought a 2 bed flat at Gainsborough Studios off plan when the development was being sold off and have always been very happy with the quality of work achieved on the flat. It was done to an excellent spec and it's lasted well. I am particularly grateful to the following people who work at IDM for all their years of professionalism and friendship - in particular the very wonderful Archie who started off cleaning my flat for me and has since built up a large successful business with the Gainsborough residents - if you need a cleaner get in touch with him; to Prez who works in the IDM office and is a tip top guy, and last but not least, to the very lovely Sascha Asvarischtsch who has helped me rent out my flat in recent years and has always done so much more for me than her job spec specifies. She has taken a mountain of stress off my weary shoulders and I cannot recommend her enough.... Read more

Takes month to resolve anything. Guess what happens if you stop chasing? Nothing will be resolved. 24/03/2018 - IDM worked on the weekends to get on with the work. Customer service is improving! 20/03/2018 - IDM are working to resolve the matter 17/03/2018 - received an email from IDM. They want to charge me to rectify the defect reported within 1st year in the brand new building. 15/03/2018 - last week 3 members of staff have visit my apartment. I have asked to come back to me with ETA. No ETA was given as yet. 07/03/2018 - after waiting for 1.5 month today I tried chasing IDM to resolve outstanding property defects. 01/03/2018 - I gave up chasing and listening constant promises to get things done. I moved into one of the buildings IDM developed earlier this year. Although problems did arise following my move Bobby has been extremely helpful in getting them fixed. He was quick with his responses and kept me continuously up to date on all issues. The flat was done to a good standard so I'm happy with my purchase. Thank you IDM, Good job guys!... Read more

I purchased a BTL property in the Rosebery House - Epsom development from IDM. The finish is to a high standard, the snagging process was seamless and as a new build the team were onsite during the purchase process and after completion to resolve quickly any further issues for the tenant. Bobby Watson, the After Care Manager, for this development has been excellent throughout the process. Proactive in resolving an issue and very good with information and communication. I understand this has also been the case with the tenant. I am very pleased with the level of service IDM are providing in particular from Bobby and his team.... Read more

Moved into a new build and yes there are a few minor things/snags as I expected, but IDM aftersales have been on hand and sorted it out really quickly. Huge thanks to Bobby and David. Any issue that has been snagged as been fixed and dealt with promptly; and I've always been kept informed. I always feared the worst, that once a developer had your money, it would be a battle to get snags fixed. Not been the case at all with David and Bobby. Keep up the good work guys.... Read more

IDM properties flat that I moved in only a week ago has been a nightmare! Their walls and floors are hollow that you can hear everything around you. You can hear the neighbours footsteps above and even the lift right from the bedroom with closed doors. Their Internet connection is the worst. They claim to provide 'pre-wired' internet but it's just not true. Everything has to be set up by you. They conceal information so that you could move in quickly and completely disregard your quiet enjoyment rights. You thought you' move into a safe haven and have peace and quiet but it is a nightmare from day one! Oh and they give you the wrong key on your fist day and ask you to travel all the way down to their Gainsborough office to retrieve the right key. Their incompetence has no limit and they don't care about their tenants but only their pockets.... Read more

IDM is the property manager in Gainsborough Studios, and claims on her website to bring return on investment. That is simply not true. Gainsborough Studios management are one of the most useless people I have encountered in a long while. We are leaseholders there, and had an issue whereby water leaks into one of the rooms following rains, it took IDM 5 years to resolve this, at the time of writing the issue is still not resolved. Things only began moving somewhat after we pressured IDM on regular basis. We have been told that to resolve our problem IDM would need to churn out £5,000. Oh what a tragedy. £5,000 is what my family spent to change the heating system in another property that we own, and we are by far not as resourceful as IDM. Besides, I suspect this problem is covered by insurance anyway. The sinking fund connected to our flat has more than £10,000, so I do not understand what is the problem is even if insurance was not attached to this. Gainsborough Studios lacks connection to fast fiber optic broadband. There really is no excuse for the prehistoric internet speeds here other than fecklessness of IDM. Definitely not with the service charge we are paying. Angel Wharf, another similar development near by by the Regent's Canal is connected? How are they better? They are not managed by IDM. When I requested a summary of the spending IDM does with our service charge payments, I did not receive a satisfactory answer. That is I did not receive a statement of revenues and spending from the office. My rights on the back of the service charge bill are explained in a text which contains typing errors. Nobody bothered to do any editing, that would mean doing extra work I guess. My service charge goes to, among others, to pay for the insurance paid by IDM for this compound. I have never once seen insurers visit me, and look at the damage done to one of the bedrooms. Once again I guess that would be extra work for IDM to call the insurance company. The waste in Gainsborough Studios is being taken out infrequently. The hallways stink of rotting waste. The porter service here is terrible. I suggest if you are renting a property here, have it already equipped with all necessary furniture because chances are you will not get it to your room that easily if it is something sizeable. Gainsborough Studios is wonderfully located, but it is run by some really stupid people. It would be better if the custodians of the compound were some other company than IDM. ... Read more

After purchasing our new flat (new bulding) we discovereved many defects in the finishes, probably caused by the rush they had to terminate the building and release the flats. Nevertheless, despite the poor initial quality check, the aftersale department (Bobby W. and David S.) have been extremely supportive and proactive. They both replied to our phonecalls or emails promptly and did their best to sort out any issue we had. Anyway the flats are made of very poor quality materials and too many issues are coming up.
