We have been working with Dunhill's for the last 30 years and we have to say that in that time Graham and his " crew" have genuinely been the best, most genuine Letting Agents we have worked with. The current team of Kelly, Dan and John are proper professionals who always act without question on any recommendations we give when carrying out gas safety or maintenance work on their behalf. Cannot praise them enough and long may it continue !!!!

Absolutely shocking behaviour from them. I had viewed two property’s (which both didn’t end up suited for us) they claim they can’t keep showing property’s they haven’t got the time even though that is there job! The lady on the phone was rude and didn’t want to hear anything of what i had to say just kept saying “hm”. Absolutely awful. She also said i hadn’t got back to them about the first house i viewed but i have in writing i did in fact let them know we wouldn’t be going ahead with this property, in which i also had a reply! They have said they will be ignoring any enquiry i now make just because i haven’t had time to get back to them yet about a property i saw only 3 days ago!!!

We expressed interest in a beautiful property and promptly got booked into seeing it. We also got followed up with by Dunhill’s quickly after the viewing where keen interest was expressed. This stage of our interaction was really positive.
However, after waiting for a week hearing nothing back and sending emails (which were ignored) we decided to call whereby being told the landlord had gone with another applicant (as is their right). We asked why they didn’t think to inform us and were just told ‘sorry’ without any further explanation or apology. Presumably, we would just not have ever heard again if we didn’t follow up with a call ourselves.
Considering we expressed such strong interest in the property and the quick turnaround time we required you would think they would do us the common courtesy of letting us know we were unsuccessful rather than us waiting and wasting a week of not searching for an alternative. Disappointing.
Update: I was since contacted since the review for an apology and with them taking responsibility for the lack of communication. I’ve subsequently amended the stars.

Simply the best. Dunhill have let and managed property for me for over seven years, now. I can honestly say the service they provide is excellent. Everyone is extremely experienced, very helpful, and utterly professional. In my years I’ve come across many estate agents and letting agents, a few good, many bad, but Dunhills are head and shoulders above all of them. From a tenant perspective these guys are very reasonable. They aren't overbearing or manipulating to try and catch you out, like some agents. Painless to let from them.
The reason for the lack of 5 stars is as follows:
- providing out of date agreement. It was dated 2019 and since this date laws have changed regarding charged. They should update their documentation to reflect this
- couldn't contact them in emergency. The emergency number provided was their office number and they were closed over the bank holiday

It’s a discriminatory company, I paid holding fee for a property and we had started the documentation for long hours, waste of time and stress. Only for my holding fee to be refunded and I was told they have someone already for the property. Then the property was uploaded on right move again for let.

I have always found John and his staff to be the utmost professionals. Every call and email are responded to quickly and nothing seems to be to much of a problem. I thoroughly recommend Dunhill Property Management because of this.
The rental market can be really stressful at these times but I didn’t find this an issue when using John and Dunhill Property Management. Everything was dealt with in a Covid-19 secure way which was refreshing as I haven’t found this to be the case with some other rental companies. The paperwork and checks were carried out quickly and painlessly and the whole process went extremely quickly form beginning to end.
If you are looking for a new property to rent or to sell yours then I can’t recommend them highly enough.

I enquired about a property for rent in the Southampton area in early January. My enquiry was returned, the very next day and a viewing arranged for that afternoon. Covid related measures were adhered to and Kelly was very professional relaying information at a distance. The property was well presented and affordable so I applied for the tenancy.
With just a few pieces of paperwork and a few checks carried out my tenancy began just a week afterwards.
From start to finish the process was easy and professionally dealt with.
I would recommend Dunhill's as the Agency to use to get you into your next home.

I am in a tennacy with my partner, he abused me mentally and physically, phone dunhill for advice as i had to leave the property and they refused to take me off the tennacy even though I told them the situation. Dunhill didnt care and refuses to take me off, I cannot afford the rent on 2 places, I will have to go to court for a occupation order, I also requested the landlords contact details but have received nothing. Do not rent from these guys not worth it.

I would absolutely recommend Dunhill Property Management. They managed the let of my house a few years ago and were exemplary in dealing with me as the landlord and my tenant. They were very supportive of both 'sides' when the water tank burst and we had to get it replaced under guarantee, stressful for me and the tenant. It was all managed in a kindly, professionally and timely manner. We have just bought a house through them and consider them to be efficient, professional, courteous, responsive and a pleasure to deal with. We had nearly sold our house twice over the past two years and nearly bought a house twice. So this last attempt was, as you might imagine - a little bit of a challenge for us. We expected things to go the same way as before. I'm pleased to say that John's predictions of the positive outcome and the possible time frames were pretty accurate. I would say this was because of his experience. Throughout he promptly responded to our contacts, kept us informed and reassured us when necessary. We know he contacted relevant people and did exactly what our solicitor said he needed to do. We felt he did what we feel an estate agent should do. We didn't feel quite the same about our solicitor we are sad to say. We successfully completed around the time expected and have been in our new house a month. In my view this evidences a professional and experienced company. We would not hesitate to recommend Dunhills for lettings or sales. They are top notch.

We had been trying to sell our property for about a year and a half, we had tried many agents before Dunhill, some online and some well known highstreet estate agents. We decided to give Dunhill ago on a recommendation we had, John sold our property within months of going on the market with Dunhill. John is not what I would call a typical estate agent, he certainly goes the extra mile and is hard working, but not in your face like a lot of of estate agents. We were kept informed and even when I texted or emailed John late in the evening he would always respond promptly much to my surprise! I would certainly without a doubt recommend Dunhill Property Management, they took the stress out of it and were brilliant. Thank you John.

I lived in a property managed by Dunhill for 2 and half years. Throughout that time when we had issues Dunhill were slow to respond and react and on 2 occasions I had to get the council to step in, in order to resolve faults that they were legally obliged to rectify within 21 days, of which one we had to wait 3 months!
Upon leaving the property we should have also been given to option of paying an early exit fee having given suitable notice. However we were refused as Dunhill told us the landlord was putting the property up for sale and they would not be looking for new tenants ruling that option out. However the following Monday after handing the keys back Dunhill had put the property back up for rent! So in affect lied to us costing me and my girlfriend hundreds of pounds in fees and rent we shouldn't have had to pay.
I will never be renting a property from Dunhill again as their lack of professionalism and honesty has left a sour taste in the mouth and has burned a large whole in my pockets!

My tenancy recently ended with this letting agency, all I can advise is not to use them.
I am not sure if it was them or the landlord but the replies were always really slow. The landlord never wanted to get anything done on the house.
Again I state try not to use this company.
The only good thing was how quick the deposit came back out the end of the tenancy.

Wanting to simply view a property. Told even though I had money to pay the full 12 months rent upfront that he would ‘check with his manager and call back’ then Phil Hurst very awkwardly said bye. NEVER heard back. Extremely poor customer service. Now in a lovely property thanks to Beals letting agency with excellence service from the start. Feel like I dodged a bullet with Dunhill if the customer service is this poor from the start good luck renting a property with them.

We moved into a lovely property in Swanmore in December 2016 thanks to the folks at Dunhill. They made every part of the process simple and we couldn’t be happier.
Since we moved in, on the couple of occasions we’ve had to contact them with requests for the landlord (relating to keys, decoration etc), their response has been swift and positive. We also had a plumbing query when the gas boiler was being inspected for safety and it was fixed there and then. Quite a contrast from our last place.
In addition, all the paperwork has been thorough and professional.
We’ve dealt with Phil, Kelly and John, all of whom have been extremely friendly, efficient and helpful.

Dunhill Property Management were outstanding in the sale of our property. Right from initial engagement through to completion we were kept fully up to date with progress and felt very happy with the service we received.
Our sale became very complex due to matters out of our control. Dunhill took all of the stress away from us and dealt directly with both sets of solicitors to identify a solution. They went above and beyond expectations to ensure a successful outcome.
Both Phil and John are an absolute pleasure to work with and are a credit to Dunhill. I would encourage anyone to use their services and I will absolutely be using them again in the future.

I contacted dunhill about a local property. After waiting over a week for a reply I contacted them again and was told that I could only view the property I was interested in if my other half removed a previous comment on Google review (which was completely justified). I did not appreciate being blackmailed like that. We would have happily removed the comment if dunhill had proved they can offer decent customer service. Shocking company. Avoid.

Living abroad, I have to say that all members of the company have always gone out of their way to help me and my tenants. As far as I am concerned, the fee I pay is well spent because I am able to trust and rely on this company to look after my interests so that my tenants are happy: so many agencies do not! We rented a flat for my parents from Dunhill Property and we were very impressed with the way that John did all of the pre tenancy checks and was very diligent and professional throughout. As a result of this excellent service I knew that as a Landlord I could trust Dunhills to look after my own rental properties. I feel that Dunhills give full protection to both the tenant and the landlord and anybody that have not been happy with the service may have tried to manipulate the system for their own benefit in one way or another and should go elsewhere anyway!

Sold and bought through Dunhill Property Management. The sale was straightforward and Phil and John were both helpful. The purchase was not so straightforward but Phil seemed to be doing all he could to facilitate the process and we got there in the end!
