My rental experience has been fantastic to date, from first contact with Millie with the initial viewing through to moving in. As this is my first time renting, the support and guidance received from her was extremely helpful in what was an otherwise very difficult time for me. Since then, any questions or concerns I have raised have been answered promptly by Brooke and others.
My first inspection was carried out this week by Lissie and with not knowing what to expect, I was soon put at ease. Lissie was very friendly, polite and professional and took the time to make sure I was able to raise any issues or concerns about the property. The process was thorough but efficient and I like that I receive a copy of the report as well.
I would definitely recommend Crofts to others based on my experience so far

Lizzie is so delightful and friendly but super- efficient too at her job in listening and recognizing any major or minor problems that might arise from time to time. Have had the good fortune to have known her for quite a few years now and it's always a real pleasure to see her and talk with her whenever the time for routine inspections is due. Was especially relieved today fortunately when she arrived as she quickly was able to recognize a serious problem and issue that hadn't been properly addressed or resolved from a past roofer's work and December return with the property concerning damp. Lizzie was quick to take pictures and immediately contact the agents to finally address the matter. They are very fortunate to have her.

The Lettings Team at Crofts are fantastic! Having been tenants with them in the past for over 5 years, we moved out of the area for a while but when we needed to come back it was them we turned to for help.

In particular I would like to send out a special thanks to Lissy Lynch the property inspector. I had a property inspection done by Lissy on 03/07/23 and as always she done a thorough job in making sure the property is being kept up to standards as well as ensuring that I was being looked after properly as a tenant.
She always listens to and follows up on any questions or queries I have in terms of property maintenance and ensures work is always carried out.
During this visit she took particular notice to the fact that a paint job had not been done after a damp proof course, followed up on it and contacted me personally to ensure me that the job would be carried out in the near future.
For every single visit Lissy has always been pleasant, polite and friendly, and it has always been a delight to invite her into my home for my regular inspections. Thank you Lissy for being a lovely lady and always doing such a great job ????

We drove nearly 2 hours to view a property that was suggested to us by the agency to then be told only once we’d arrived that they didn’t have the key to let us in. Spent time and money driving up here on Mother’s Day and they couldn’t be bothered to check they had a key before hand. When we called to see if anything could be done instead of someone saying “we’ll keep trying and let you know” or “we can call you to view it later today if we manage to get the key” they just told us no because they didn’t have the key. The lady in the phone then proceeded to say ”I’m going to end the conversation now because it’s not going anywhere”. I was taken back as to how rude this was considering it was their mistake, not ours. We were even prepared to wait all day. Really unprofessional and disappointing.

Crofts have been my Estate Agents for almost 5 years and they have been fantastic from start to finish. I've spoken with alot of staff over the years but Rebecca O has been incredible. Extremely helpful, attentive, polite, friendly and goes above and beyond to help. An asset to the company and because of Rebecca would recommend Crofts to anyone.
Both properties I've had with Crofts (In the same building!) have been perfect, the process they have in place before new tenants move in insure the property is in a great condition before anyone moves in.
My tenancy is coming to an end with Crofts on the 10th Oct and with Rebecca handling it (with the rest of the team behind the scenes) I know I've got nothing to worry about.

Crofts is the worst estate agents i have ever dealt with.
After paying a £700 deposit, we are now being quoted £2000 total after moving out, £1500 of it being to "redecorate" a house we never painted and only made a handful of nail holes.
Not to mention £300 of the it also being to replace "spotlights", yes, £300 to replace lightbulbs...

I had been renting a property with crofts for 1 1/2 years. We have dealt with constant problems such as mould on the walls, boiler breaking down causing electricity to trip. Since January we went a total of 6 weeks without heating and hot water and having to struggle to get any compensation. I would report the boiler broken and two days later I would have to chase it to be told they are waiting for the landlord to respond. Not good enough this should be sorted within 24th hrs.
Finally we were in a position to purchase our own home and move out. When we handed in our notice we had constant viewings everyday at the property while we were still living there and even let themselves in when we were home! We also had people just turn up saying they were with crofts when in fact an estate agent wasn’t present at the time
After we left the premise we were forced to pay the full months rent even though we were there for two weeks and a new tenant was moving in during the period we were paying for.
They have tried to claim our full deposit within that list of reasons claiming that a spotlight replacement costs £80! You can just buy a bulb for £5 from Tesco. Most of our furniture had mould growth on the back and inside along with clothes and furniture having a bad dusty smell.
This was our first time renting and was an awful experience

From the staff who completed the initial valuation, through to the person taking the photos, the staff who accompanied buyers on visits, office staff and the branch manager, there were no exceptions in the service received. There were twists and turns in my sale, and it took a little longer to get to completion than desired (not at the fault of Crofts). However, Hannah, the branch manager navigated this with the most friendly manner and approach, liaising with all stakeholders and keeping me informed every step of the way. I’d like to start by saying there were no issues whilst in the property and I thought Crofts were a professional and reliable company.
However upon us serving notice because we successfully gained a mortgage, Crofts trespassed not once, but twice! Both times were put down to ‘Human error’ and was treated continuously with disrespect. They caused me high amounts of stress until leaving the property.
They are now claiming in any angle possible to keep a deposit for things that were highlighted back in 2019 to them via email. This has been emailed back to them to provide proof since they advised they were going to investigate this. Again, this has been disregarded, not even acknowledged by the team. And it seems the inventory was never corrected back in 2019 as I was informed it was. Another ‘human error’ which we are now being charged for. This is of course being disputed via the DPS but causes unnecessary stress, just because we chose to vacate the property.
The landlord also at the start of tenancy gave a great impression, attending the home and providing his details if any issues occur. Even complaining numerous times himself about Crofts incompetence. And yet now not interested because we have vacated and he would prefer to line his own pocket.
The list of incompetency could go on. But we get the point. Crofts was great up until we wanted to own our own property. It’s sad and the things they have done are in fact illegal. But we all learn lessons, this being to avoid Crofts.

I have a number of houses let out through Crofts. There was a fire at one of them in the autumn and Crofts have been first class in liaising with the insurers, broker, tenants and all workman to get the works completed as soon as possible, to get the tenants rehoused in the meantime and to make things happen!

I am a portfolio landlord that has never had the need to use an agent to find a tenant, until Dec 2021.
The Crofts team from the very beginning to the end of the process were very professional, very friendly and exceeded my high expectations.
The quality and number of the potential tenants was extremely high and the viewing process quick and efficient.

dont trust these when you put an offer on a property and its accepted most estate agents have no more viewings not these they rang me to say someone had put a better offer in so we cant have it unless we offer more so be warned they still leave it up for sale while you think its yours now an acceptance has been put down in writing they made an excuse that we was in a chain and they always leave it up for sale till valuations are done all that money i could have wasted my buyers are first time buyers who is on with ours I am with Hunters and their code is no more viewing once offer accepted that is professional

Unhappy landlord. Their director Gary could have resolved this situation privately but they decided not to, that was their decision. They did offer me a half price service but I wanted to try another agent in the area on this occasion so requested half of my money back instead but this was denied.
I decided on Rains Reed in Grimsby this time and so far you can tell the difference in the level of service on offer. They sent me a form to fill out where I ticked all the criterial I wanted and I feel like they understand my needs more clearly, a more personal service which as a landlord I really like. They have only put tenants forward who strictly match my criterial before viewing, this just makes the situation a lot more straight forward when picking a tenant, it was a waste of everyones time, tenants, Crofts and myself showing around tenants who didn't match the basic criteria i laid out. Then getting tenants to waste their time viewing & filling in an application form and building hopes up, when they didn't even meet the basic criteria. Only 3 out of 27 were even suitable so 25 people viewed and filled out forms, then waited for a few day to hear if they were accepted. I feel for them people.
It's unfortunate that this couldn't of been sorted out in private but good luck and I hope we can both learn some valuable lessons from this experience but I won't be using Crofts on my future properties in this area.

I care for a lady that rented a house from crofts for 3 years, they were the worst estate agents so far, didn't do repairs, because they couldn't get InTouch with the owner, the house was very damp, very cold, unsafe carpets on stairs, leaking sink for 3 years, and lot more, they never got back to Amanda, untill she handed in her notice, then 15 people came to look at the house in a week, says how bad it was no one wanted it, wouldn't let her decorate, the house was a mess for previous tenants, but when Amanda moved out they want her to pay for redecorating, they never told us they had keys back nor about the issue they reckon there was, we had the house professional cleaned, they just let Amanda wait, we are seeking legal services to take crofts (Gary) and the owner to court, there an absolute joke, stay away don't rent they don't do anything

I’ve recently rented a property through Croft’s. The property was in an excellent state upon me starting my tendency. During the tendency I had a couple of niggles re the upstairs window and an oven seal. On each occasion. Croft’s responded in a timely manner and involved the landlord and the issues were sorted out in a timely manner, nothing was too much trouble and I’ve always found the staff responsive and very courteous. Overall a very good experience. I would not hesitate to use them again! Thank you Croft’s for a good experience !

Cannot rate the Cleethorpes branch of Crofts highly enough. From the initial valuation appointment until the final day of our sale the sales team excelled. We had a prolonged and at times difficult sale, but the staff remained positive, professional and positive throughout. Special mention to Vicki who we felt went over and beyond what we expected. Laura at Crofts is very kind and helpful. My son Simon purchased his first home recently which was advertised through Crofts. The lady who showed us around the house was very kind, patient and informative and when we needed to view the property a second time Crofts were very agreeable. I would not recommend this agent to any tenants... I was in a flat in Grimsby under Crofts... property handed over to me with unclean state... I myself cleaned washing machine and cooker bathroom etc... I kept flat clean and tidy and handed over in good condition.. thr man called David in Crofts deducted good amount of money from my deposit just showing pics of minor wear and tears most of which already exist when I moved in... very dissapointed about their act which was very unfair and disgusting... never recommend to anyone....

Crofts were our sellers estate agents we had purple bricks for our sale. I can honestly say that Guy Moore at Crofts went above and beyond his call of duty.
He kept us informed all along, through all the hiccups (and we had a few!)
Purple bricks! We didn't hear from once, once the house was sold, not even to tell us what to do with our keys on the day of removal.
Anyone selling your house I recommend Crofts as 5 star +
