I've rented a property through BMH for around 5 years now and it's honestly the happiest and most settled I've felt. The lettings team are friendly but professional and get things done quickly on the rare occasion that I do report any issues. When visiting the property, I've always found BMH staff to be very polite and respectful. In places I've rented before (through other agents) you're made very aware of the fact that you dont own the house but with BMH I feel they really treat it as though it's the tenants home - which adds to that settled feeling I mentioned earlier. Their communication is great too, whether it's notifying of tenancy inspections, arranging appointments or just answering general queries. The response is usually quick with clear, honest answers to any questions. It was a while ago but i do remember their application process too and how straightforward it all was. From first viewing on 25th September it took just 3 weeks for application, referencing etc and by mid October I'd moved in. Really quick and simple. Was shown around a flea infested house. Now, I am covered in bites as is my daughter. There was also a dead bird on the top stair of the landing. As there were other people viewing this property the same time as myself and one of them was a little girl she was also covered in fleas. Had to spend money fumigating my car and home. I phoned Bettles, who informed me that the fleas were the Landlords responsibility and not theirs. This was unprofessional as they should have checked the property first. They also informed me that a person has now put a holding deposit on the property and they have stopped viewing, depite the property still being available for viewings.... Read more
