Multiple emails by both myself and the building owner to different agents and website communication points, for well over a month with no reply. Laughable lack of communication. I can't even say that they are refusing to return the deposit, or made up an excuse to avoid doing it, as they have dropped all communications entirely.... Read more

Found this property on Spareroom. The first lady I was in contact with showed me a virtual viewing of this one room, but when I moved, I got a completely different room than the one shown. I did try clarifying with the person in charge of my paperwork, but they replied saying they 'didn't know what you saw, but this is the room you're getting'. I also made an appointment 2 weeks before my move in date to collect the keys in the afternoon. A couple days before the appointment, I was emailed saying that their working hours have suddenly changed and I have to arrive before 1pm otherwise I would not receive my keys. I turned up at 12:30pm and found the office was closed due to someone contracting COVID. A little warning would have been nice! Besides that, the contract states that this is a non smoking house. I have noticed every single tenant smoking in the common areas, and throwing their cigarette butts into the garden and front doorstep. I have attempted to contact Genie homes multiple times regarding the smoking but have not received a reply. Absolutely poor communication.... Read more
