Unfortunately the house did not sell with this agent and then I had to relist with another. Initially I was told the house was worth 250 and would sell in that area no problem, after a couple of weeks I have to reduced to 240, then 235 and then I was asked to reduce again to 230 at which point I changed agents. Initially communication was poor I was not getting feedback on viewings And my emails were not being answered until I escalated it to the manager of the branch, after this communication was excellent. Personally I feel that some of the people being shown the house were not advised that interior work was necessary and potentially the clients were not fully informed . Very nice people working there, and trustworthy with the key to the property.

Had a rough experience being a buyer as the vendor took the personal route to try and send my partner abuse for us pulling away from a bad sale. Oakmans were very apologetic and were ashamed of their customer doing that but we still felt at the time the agent was rude to us and described us as unreasonable. Well what can i say Laura,Trina and all the girls at Oakmans Northfield were great from start to finish regarding the sale of my property.

I was shown a property through Oakmans Estate Agency in birmingham, via Katie and her service and housing knowledge was impeccable. She has information on the property as far as house regulation concerns, ideas to change or make suitable adjustments, knowledge of the road and neighbours. Having viewed houses for some time with other agencies, I have not seen this from anyone else. I was really grateful that someone in the market was able to share useful and noteworthy facts, that go a long way when making the decision to buy a house. Initially had reservations about instructing for the sale due to Oakmans being new to the sector and suspiciously favourable pricing but were unfounded.
Oakmans provided an excellent service across the board over the 4 -5 months they acted on my behalf. All staff I found easy to communicate with and very helpful and always replied to my calls and emails, they guided me all the way and gave useful insights and advice during the sale to make the whole process just that bit easier.

I changed to Oakmans following 2/TWO broken previous sales!
I shan't muddy waters by telling you what every Estate Agent does but highlight what made the difference. Bear in mind it was a No sale, No fee.
First is the marketing. The full smorgersboard - stills, videos, still floor plan and an interactive one. Expecially good was the professional aerial photography. Got to see to it to be believed.
In other words, a Buyer, can see the property from every angle and close up to see EVERYTHING without leaving home.
Fast turnaround to get it all online.
The next difference is the follow-through by a different and dedicated team (thanks Lesley).
Regular and constant contact between all parties involved!
The Exchange and Completion was a touch-and-go-affair but Lesley kept it going. I felt my sale was a priority.
Finally, my property was "out-of-the-area" and yet they achieved the actual sale. Over and above.
What more could a Seller want? Full 5 stars. I'd give more stars if I could!
