Unfortunately Halls did not live up to our expectations…over promising and under delivering proved apparent with inaccurate valuation, poor communication and we felt there was only interaction when we initiated it and although that proved helpful initially, it was short lived and the inactivity and lack of interaction continued… So very disappointed and we will now have to start the process again elsewhere…... I used Halls because I assumed, wrongly, that I would find a level of professionalism that would ensure the landlord would be within the law. I ended up with landlords that were not licensed, a property that had never been registered as a rental property, a home (I use the term very loosely) that had a water supply that smelt of heating oil, a garden that turned into a waterfall when it rained heavily, gutters so blocked that the water flowed over the top instead of down the pipes, a landlord who rang me late at night/in the early hours to demand that I switched my light out and who became abusive because I contacted environmental health about the property. When I wrote to Halls they held me in such contempt that they did not even bother to sign the letter of response, or to put a name at the bottom so that I knew who within the company had written to me. No wonder estate agents get a bad name.... Read more
