This company has no idea how to run itself they just keep putting the service charge up each year my partner who has dementia she fell behind with her charges she was told £800 which is paid of this month now she is told she owes over £900 plus on top she was also threatened with small claims court but the leasehold manager agreed a plan per month now my partner has to cut down on her gas from nxt month over this I've heard people can't afford the gas bills over these exorbitant charges I feel this company deserves a 0 one star two much for them ????????????plus my partner lived here since the 70s ...... Very unhelpful housing association just like all the other greedy housing associations out there. My mum who is a pensioner rents one of hastoes properties. The fence in her back garden needs fixing and hastoe have said that it is down to my mum to pay and fix the fence. The fence in question backs onto an allotment and the allotment have a water tap which is right up against the fence. Over time the water has rotted the fence and caused the damage. Surely this shouldn't be down to my mother to pay for as hastoe own the property not her ???? They are not willing to help at all which I think is absolutely disgusting ????... Read more

We had water coming through the kitchen ceiling and no-one would come out, this was prior to Covid but have only just seen this review page or would have reported it sooner. Contacted Hastoe who said they would look into it, they never did. We live in a very rural location and the fencing is all boundary, they will only fix any fencing that is the privacy fencing....the 1st screen near the house! We have 2 different types of mould and they say it is due to our use but we do not dry clothing on radiators, windows and vents are opened etc....its because we have no insulation from when they built the house. So sick of paying for own repairs as the house is rented from Hastoe but their builders make any fix worst!! Many years ago this was a fantastic place to live but not now... Read more

As stated in so many reviews, Hastoe seems just to want the rent but are of no help when there is a problem. They messed up when "servicing" the solar panel - took over 8 months and many letters to sort. Who do they employ? remedial work NO EXISTANT!!! Hedging is full of disease and spreading into tenants" gardens and is a danger to children! Fencing rotten!Paintwork peeled off years ago so weather will ruin windows etc! The list is endless!!... We live with Rats .... They are not taking us seriously!!! These houses haven't been built proberly... absolute disgrace!!! We need to Be Re- housed... i have a family to protect!!! They are stealing money from vulnerable leaseholders who used to be tenants. Inventing crazy prices for building repairs and forcing residents to pay tens of thousands of pounds for basic building repairs leading to elderly people having to sell their livelong homes in order to pay this ruthless business pretending to be a charity.... Paid rent on time with no hassle for 9 years. Expected more from them when were left with no heating for nearly 2 weeks in the middle of winter. Asked them if they could provide us with some portable radiators but no contact since. Feeling really let down with them and Gasway... Read more
