I dealt with countless estate agents whilst seeking a renting property and Nick at Bernard Marcus’s Surbiton branch has been a cut above the rest. He was professional from the outset, is incredibly responsive and he kept me informed at every step of the process. Seems like a genuinely decent guy too. I wholeheartedly recommend.
AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!!!!!!!
A friend of mine had used these estate agent, and was done over when it came to the inventory leaving the property, when they moved in it was one page long, and then when they moved out it was thirty pages long, and i feel the decision they made with the landlord was deceptive and a team effort and my friends had been in the property for over four years so a bit of wear and tear which is normal
the inventory company works in the estate agents favor never the tenants!!!!!
Moving from one country to the other is a big move. And finding the right place to live is big headache and on top of that the maintenance is a bigger issue or worry. But Hamptons made everything so simple and quick that I can recommend them without any second thought in my mind.
I got the opportunity to work with Trevor Scott, Bradley and their team at Wimbledon. Trust me till date what all issues I have reported either one or two their response was immediate.
Trevor and team Wimbledon I am very happy and all stars for you guys. Keep up the good work and all the very best.
All kudos to the team hamptons Wimbledon !!!!

This is the second occasion I’ve used Hamptons . The first to sell a property , this time to rent.
They are cool . Bravo .
Peter Norgrove has gone above and beyond with his advice and assistance while dealing with our particular requirements. His patience is greatly appreciated; making Knight Frank our agent of choice in Richmond.
After having seen something like 60 flats with other agents I finally got to the point with Knight Frank as I they understood my needs and did not waste my time visiting other random properties. This was great!...
On the other hand... the aftermath was quite painful/annoying unfortunately.
The information received from the Agency revealed to be really imprecise on some aspects of the technical features of the flat (even though reportedly passed by their clients), definitely demonstrating some quite shallow technical knowledge which one would not expect from a name as Knight Frank.
We were allocated Tracy Bowler to our case and she has been excellent. She was efficient and professional whilst presenting as warm and personable. She made us feel comfortable asking any questions and nothing was too much trouble. As I was unable to attend the first viewing and was keen to see it, she organised a second which I was grateful for. Due to her rapid communication, thoughtful attitude and competent way of working she has ensure this process ran smoothly and made us feel like we were her top priority, I would highly recommend her.
One of the worst rental experiences of my life! We are being lied to and harassed daily affecting time with our little one! These people are not professional at all- the Raynes park branch. Our baby is three months and because they didn't honour our break clause.. we ended up having to show the property before us moving out! Tracy the agent doesn't know anything abt 76 saint Catherine's close flat in Raynes park and I would have to explain the workings of flat ignoring needs of my baby. She walked into me half naked breast feeding my baby! They constantly kept changing times of viewings at last minute causing us mental stress and mind you we were not just by ourselves our baby's schedule was compromised ???? With all this.
When we refused to agree to viewing change they made at last minute they would threaten us with the deposit!
Even after moving out the harassment continues. In order for them to not pay back the deposit now they are claiming properly was not professionally cleaned! We cleaned the property to reasonable basic standard but now David the manager is asking us to get a professional cleaner to clean the property as we own the property!
Please understand they are harassing new parents who are chronically tired and sleep deprived for months..I don't even know how they will treat regular folks!
I'm thinking of filing claims for mental and physical harassment to my family although I rather spent time looking after and taking care of my little one!
We highly recommend using Laurels, the service has been excellent and we wouldn't hesitate in using them for future purchases/lettings. Rob, Beth, Jack and Charles have been a pleasure to do business with and have always been at the end of the phone when needed, thanks for everything!!
A thoroughly stressful and unpleasant experience using Laurels. Rob at Laurels repeatedly let us down whilst marketing our property, Was unresponsive, often not responding to calls or emails. We have some suspicions of being misled or worse, lied to, regarding offers received on our property. I should stress these are suspicions at this stage and investigations into this are ongoing. In our opinion, the poor service from Rob at Laurels cost us a perfect home to move into and almost lost the seller of this home thousands of pounds through loss of a deposit. My personal recommendation would be to save yourself the stress and hassle and go with agents with a long track record of excellent customer service. In Epsom, Cairds are a much better agent in my opinion and charge the same fees as Laurels, or Greenfields in the Surbiton area. Please don’t be misled by the notion that Laurels are much cheaper than well established High Street Agents are this certainly wasn’t the case in my experience. My advice, avoid.
