Beleive me if your a tenant looking to rent a property they manage just stay away they don't know what they are doing they lie act childish push you from person to person very unprofessional company. What a bull company so since I moved in December iv had constant problems jn the house iv had a new born baby I don't even have a freezer since 3 months because I moan and get angry in regards to the problems in the house they think they got the authority to send me email in regards to termination this company is a joke il be taking them to court. You as a company are going to be finished mark my words the same way random people turn up to my house I will make sure people turn up to everyone of your houses you played with the wrong person good luck

Hunters acquired my business due to a ‘ take over ‘ of my previous Agents.No problems with my previous Agents so naturally a little apprehensive.
Hunters, how ever have proved to me what a good Agent should be like! In 12 months I have benefitted from efficiency like no other in the Account's Department.
My first experience in the re-letting service recently has been truly amazing. Handled by Danielle Keyte I was provided with 5 prospective tenants ( all good ) within a matter of 48 hours!!!!!
Now re-let to a quality tenant and a sizeable rent increase.
During the short gap between my tenant leaving and my new tenant ‘ moving in ‘ Danielle arranged for the entire property to be re-painted @ nominal cost.
A Landlords main concern is ‘ voids ‘ particularly due to current mortgage costs My new Agents, Hunters, and in particular my new Property Portfolio Manager, Danielle means that this is one Landlord that no longer has any fears in this direction.
I now look forward to a long -term business association with my new Agents…….Hunters and of course my new Property Portfolio Manager, Danielle Keyte. John Balderson.

Another great experience with Hunters Knowle. We have now let two properties from this branch and im happy to say its worked out fantastically both times! Leanne especially has worked hard for us to help us achieve the family home we desperately needed as we just didn't have enough space previously. Renting review - Solihull/Knowle as for the moment is the same team
On short: everything that could go wrong with renting a property in the first month went wrong
Garden: beautiful private garden surrounded by tall bushes on sides and trees in the back.
First month: our gardener will contact you, we appointed him to cut the bushes at fence level(half) - bye bye private garden & good looking garden. No questions, consultation or communication - just a notice
Lounge: "lounge with gas fire" described in add, not large, but cozy looking . Confirm when we went to visit and we were told will work
First month: we try to open the fire, does not work. We contact them and the answer is that it didn't work in years - leaks gas and material fitted around it is not safe
Internet:
Before signing the contract: their moving hub - sure you can have internet from Vodafone, we book installation
Day we move in: we try to reconfirm was ok via email - no response
Day before the internet was booked in: we go in person – they tell us a specific paper is required, we ask if they can ask the landlord without that -no!. Vodafone - you'll have to book again, next available spot - 3 weeks = 1 month without any broadband. BTW, almost all consultants from Vodafone had no idea what that was and asked me to just call the landlord – wish I could.
Inventory: contains even a bag of dirt and a rusty bike, visibly not functional and unused for years = is ok, tenants can keep the trash safe
Contract: filled with (if applicable), not clear and with no terms, just laws. Should we ask a LETTING agency which are the legal terms for notices?
Not sure if it matters, but we have not negotiated the rent - we like the house and took it. Still to go this wrong... and first month didn't end yet...
At this point I really regret I choose an agency over a landlord - both me and my wife we were so happy when we moved in..

Enquired about a property for sale over the phone. I was promised basic information regarding managing agent and fees but never received a call. Visited in person to arrange viewing and obtain answers to basic queries. I felt the chap just wanted to capture my data and wasn't interested. However, he promised to email basic details (of which an agent should be aware) before the viewing.. nothing received of course. Viewing cancelled.

Update September 2023. Unfortunately, the service from Hunters with regard to lettings is no longer acceptable. I have been trying to speak with someone about my tenants renewal from over a month now, however they do not respond to emails or calls. Every time I phone it goes to voicemail. I have emailed them to give notice, but they have not responded to that either. I am not local to the area to visit the office. It is a shame because they used to be great, but I understand some of the lettings team have left the business recently.
I have used Hunters in Knowle over a 20 year period for house purchases, a house sale and more recently managed letting services. The whole lettings team are excellent, including Leanne, Jo, Oksana and Kelly. They are always friendly, helpful, responsive and very professional. I would definitely recommend trying Hunters for letting and sales.

My experience with Hunters selling a house has left a very unpleasant taste in the mouth.
They valued the house at £675000. My initial involvement was with Matt but he left Hunters soon afterwards. He was friendly.
The initial marketing and a video tour of the house were very good. The sales process however was by contrast very poor indeed. And let's face it, if you are selling, that's the bit you want to be very good and are paying very good money for.
I never met any of the prospective purchasers. I was not involved in discussions with them. The property was empty which may or may not be of significance.
I received 3 offers around the same time - all for £600000. That in itself is quite a coincidence. I felt was put under considerable pressure to give these totally unrealistic offers serious consideration.
I was at that time prepared to accept £650000.
Unfortunately over last Autumn following the long dry Summer of 2022 some cracking had developed in the plasterboard in the living room. There was a subsidence scare which was ultimately ruled out by an insurance company's expert report.
However it obviously moved the goalposts a little.
Hunters told me that I had an alternative offer: either £600000 now or £630000 in 6 months time if the cracks were monitored and various works were paid for.
£600000 was too low and 6 months too long to wait. Neither offer was acceptable to me, only to Hunters.
The contact between me and Matt's replacement was never cordial and I felt I was being talked down to as if I didn't know what I was talking about.
I felt I was being cornered and it was a take it or leave it.
Indeed because I did not accept this conditional offer I received the following email from Hunters:
" Unfortunately I do think at this stage there is little more that we can do to help you with the sale of xx xxxxxxx xxxxxx. ........ I do suggest that you to (sic) take the house of the market......"
So I did.
However, the prospective purchasers were extremely disappointed with this. They sent letters to the property saying that they still wanted to buy the property. And so we then had to deal face to face with each other.
They too had not been happy with their dealings with Hunters.
It turns out that they were prepared to proceed immediately without all the preconditions and a 6 month delay for a figure of £635000.
So in short - can you do better? Yes you can.
Do I feel that Hunters adequately put forward our positions? No I don't.
I advised Hunters of the sale through my solicitor.
Do they still want full commission?
They are estate agents aren't they? !
But at least I, yes I, managed to sell the house, and the original sales particulars and video tour were very good.

We are very happy with our right decision to leave our flat into Hunters hand: with very professional and efficient works from Hunters Solihull team, five views were arranged within one week when our flat was put onto the market, and three offers received. Everything went through very smoothly until our preferred potential tenant unexpectedly pulled out due to an unforeseen cause. Hunters team reacted immediately, and arranged further four views and got three offers, withing one week - amazing! The most important thing for me in choosing a Lettings Agent is being able to trust the advice and assistance provided and feel confident the staff will act promptly on my behalf to look after my tenants interests as well as my interests. . Both Jo and Leanne have been great. Jo was prompt at returning my initial enquiry and sending through all further information. She respected my space whilst I made a decision and did not chase me. Once I got back to her an appointment to value my property was made, and after this point, everything happened very efficiently. In my opinion, Hunters Estate Agents in Knowle are the most professional, friendly and knowledgeable letting agents I have come across.
They are perfect at what they do and I was able to compare them to other letting agents when viewing properties to rent and it made me realise even more just how good their services are.
It isn’t only the service that’s perfect but their team there are all so lovely, friendly, personable and professional.
I dreaded the thought of having to use another letting agents, so I was over the moon when Jo Egan advised me of a property that would be perfect for me and it came up at the the right time.
I’ve dealt with Jo Egan for years and she is an expert in this industry and she is so friendly and professional. I don’t even know where to start. I paid them 6 months and 1 month deposit. After a month. The flat was leaking from every single pipe in the flat. They cut my water, I had no drinking water or toilet or to wash my self. I left the flat two month earlier. Now they’re saying saying they’re not giving me the money back becuse I still have a contract even though they asked me to leave every single day. They’re not giving me my deposit back saying I’m the reason for the leaks. The estate agency was laughing at me when I asked for it. They take the landlords side, even though they know full well he’s in the wrong.
This agency only cares about money nothing else. Please do not go to them in anyway. They’re crooks and liars.

My experience of Hunters Lettings has not been as positive as others who have reviewed here.
Hunters repeatedly failed to respond to requests for repairs throughout my 2-year tenancy: on some occasions, I received no response at all; on other occasions, someone came to get a quote for the landlord, then never returned to do the work.
Hunters also charged me 10 days' rent after the end of my tenancy. After trying to sort this by email and phone, to no avail, I had to visit their office in person to get them to acknowledge that this was an error. Even after this was resolved, Hunters informed the utility providers and council that I was responsible for the council tax and utility bills for the 10 days after the end of my contract.
I would not use Hunters lettings again, nor would I recommend them to a friend.

I had always been of the view that selling your house can be one of the most stressful events in your life, however in this instance nothing could be further from the truth. We had just had a horrendous 18 months, trying to sell our house with 3 of Knowles 'leading' estate agents, who all gave an appalling level of service and support.
On the day we dismissed the 3rd agent, we called Hunters in Knowle and asked if they had anyone on their books who might be interested in our house and within 24 hours we had a viewing, an offer within 7 days and are now happily in our new home.
Ellie Vaughan was brilliant. She listened, understood and acted promptly. Most importantly, she owned the process of selling our home, she was always contactable and kept in constant contact throughout the entire process. Nothing was too much trouble for her.
The other agents all told a good story, but all failed to live up to their word, they failed miserably, were often uncontactable, unresponsive and lacked any drive or commitment when trying to sell our house. They were driven by commission only, whereas Hunters were true partners in the sale.
From day one, they made promises and delivered and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Best estate agent in B93 by a mile! Fantastic customer service, and after sales service for both the buyer and the seller. Over the years we've used most of the agents in B93 to buy and sell multiple houses. We have found that stats can be misleading. Having the most houses sold, does not make the best agent, as often those sold houses have had to be significantly reduced after sitting on the market for months, the sellers left less than happy. We have found Hunters to be reliably accurate in their valuations, and as a result we have always sold much quicker with Hunters. We have also stayed sold with them, with no sales having fallen through, I suspect due to their fantastic after sales service, chasing solicitors etc to make sure everything goes smoothly. Obviously there are always things that can go wrong with selling houses, but Hunters make the process much less painful. Highly recommended!

Our first experience of Hunters was when we bought our property, which was marketed through them in 2013. We found them to be honest, professional and very accommodating throughout the process and really helped push things along with solicitors etc. to get the sale through.
Our experience was so positive that we approached them again when we decided to sell the property six years later. We first worked with Lydia and Abbie, who were incredibly proactive, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. They gave us great advice which helped to find a buyer for the property.
From that point on, we were in contact with Amelia, who helped us to progress the sale. Amelia was fantastic - she went above and beyond to help us get the sale over the line. She was very proactive, and always picked up the phone or got back to us straight away. We had problems with our own solicitors, and Amelia did everything she could to help. Without Amelia, and everyone at Hunters, I honestly don't know how we would have managed to sell our property!

Having noticed our 'dream home' pop onto the market the day after Boxing Day 2018, we needed to move FAST to stand any chance of getting ours sold and to allow us to be in a proceed able position to pursue the house we had our sights on.
After a meeting with Lisa, she went above and beyond to help to advise us and got us up and on the market within a mere few days, and bookings for viewings were secured by Ellie within 24 hours of the house going live! Ellie was a delight, always keeping me informed of progress and working to manage viewings to suit our busy diaries. Within a week of going on the market, we'd received several offers, one of which was significantly over the asking price!
Once we had a sale STC, we were quick to view the home we loved a second time, and although there was a lot of interest, the whole team were great and really helped to minimise any anxiety as the offers process unfolded. Luckily, our offer was successful!
Now, the reigns were handed over to Amelia to progress the sale and purchase and she was simply amazing! Totally 'on it' ahead of the game and super proactive.
From our first exploratory meeting with Lisa, to the day we received the keys to our new 'forever' home, the whole Team were an absolute pleasure to deal with.
What could have been an enormously stressful event (especially as we were going on holiday 3 days after the moving date with two very young children!) it couldn't have run any more smoothly and I absolutely believe that this was down to the team at Hunters.

Been treated very poorly by estate agent. The propery that I have rented in the Solihull/Sheldon area is full of damp and mould it is that serious that it has made my health very bad and that of my partner who stays a few times who is currently pregnant. I have reported all the faults with the property and they asked my partner who is pregnant to clean the mould off the wall. Not only has this property affected our health it has completely recked all our belongings including brand new items brought for my child. I have a lot of photo evidence of this. Other faults have included the property fuse box started burning and a damp patch outside bathroom along with mould in the freezer that is completly unuseable and fridge door that is completely broke off and £160 of food wasted. There is a massive gap under the door big enough for a child to get hand in and no heating in both bedrooms. I mentioned how it has affected my health to the property agent and the reply was the sooner you move the sooner you will feel better, I requested a property move after the place nearly caught fire and they said they would not move me and I can leave and pay the rent. I was served a section 21 and blamed for damages that were not checked by the agents then when checked said I had not caused them then made other accusations. I have been bullied and treated disgustingly but in there minds they don't see anything wrong and make excuses and are constantly sticking up for landlord. I am not the only person who has been treated poorly by the agent. I cannot contact the agent without the feeling I am going to get a nasty reply or be talked down to. I have contacted head office but again they fully stick up for the agent and landlord. Customer service is beyond appualing. Happy to take money, not happy to help at all when you have problems. Avoid at all costs. As an update on previous review, the structure of the property has a lot of holes in the walls of the exterior of the porperty which is contributing to the damp and mould as is the cause of wrecking all of my property and my unborn childs. I have been harrassed by the estate agent they demanded access to the property and have sent more accusations. Do not report any problems as you will get your section 21 and be asked to repair for costs you haven't made without assessing the situation. The council have forced the agent to make repairs to the property although I have complained again and again. The whole process has been a joke to them and they will make you feel that you have no tentant rights at all. Save your money and find a better agent who will actually look after you as a tenant as this property has cost me a fortune in rent and now personal property for items that are also irreplaceable. Also made to live in the freezing cold because there is not adequate heating within the property.

I have lived so far in four countries and I have never been treated as bad as here with this agency. I feel I have been treated like a bad dog; Since the day I moved into a house in Sheldon the shower was not working properly and the agency has been supporting the landlord saying that I could take baths and there was no need for fixing the shower. As soon as I have left the house they have fixed the shower. Since the beginning personnel have been very unprofessional. My advice, if you go ahead with them check meticulously everything, as the day you sign the contract you might be told a couple of things you did not know! No ethics within this business.

I recently moved and decided to use Hunters in Knowle. Although the process proved to be a stressful one, everyone in the office was very supportive and kept me up to date every step of the way.
I was impressed with their marketing and liked being able to log in to my own on-line system to look at viewings summary and feedback.
