Issa Estates (about to be rebranded) are not to be trusted. We moved out June 2019, 4 months later none of our tenants have received a penny of our £370pp deposits. Issa Estates refuses to answer correspondence for a resolution to the disputes we have around the original charges placed on our property. Although the viewing and signing process was decent, don't be fooled by their friendly personas, they are not your friends. To them, you are just another opportunity to make a profit utilising their own property management network to pocket large parts of your deposit fees. Alongside this, we are friends of an ex-employee. The practice taught to him whilst working there involved overcharging tenants, with the confidence tentants would not argue for a quick resolution/quick profit. This can be seen simply by checking a couple of the other reviews left on Google. Go elsewhere, these guys cannot be trusted!... Read more

Friendly enough staff but will try to sneak money off of you unless you protest and have ridiculous fees for absolutely no reason. The property owners they work with however have no respect for neither the written contract nor the law, which is, in the end, something Issa Estates are co-responsible for.... Read more

AVOID ! When we got in touch with them last August, they looked ok. They told us about a nice student's flat which we visited. To sign the contract, they drove us to the landlord's office. First they told us " I don't know who the owner is, it's not in the file yet". Then they gave us a name which turned out not to be the right one, i.e. they clearly told us "We're driving you to "Letting Angels", while in fact they drove us to "Letzmove". When we met the landlords (father & son), we found out they were an estate agency themselves ! The son, called Ash, looked nice and funny, so we had no reason not to trust him. Before that, we were told by ISSA that, as we were non-UK residents, the landlord demanded 2 months' deposit. To be paid in cash on that very day. After signing the contract, my daughter wanted to look up the reviews concerning Letzmove (not knowing the landlord's name beforehand, we had simply trusted ISSA, thinking THEY knew who they were dealing with). We found out the reviews about Letzmove (all of them) were awfully bad ! The next day we phoned ISSA, asking for explanation, and they simply denied any legal responsibility in case anything would go wrong with the landlord. They said they were just acting as a link between tenants (students in this case) and landlords. Once the contract was signed, their job was done ! (I forgot to tell you they still had 2 extra rooms to let from the very same guys in the same house, which means that even when knowing the letting was risky, their reaction was simply "We don't care !" !). When I asked them why they had lied about the real name of the place they drove us to, they first denied then said they "had just been absent-minded, made a mistake" or sth of that kind ! They were many faults with the flat but the worst was to come. My daughter gave the keys back 6 weeks ago, the inventory was quickly done, and the landlord found no fault with my daughter's duties. She had paid and done everything she had to do in due time. At the inventory, the room was 100% ok. The son told her that he had to wait till the next day to make the money transfer. Inventory was on January 24th and so far, LETZMOVE still hasn't paid the deposit back (790 £). No explanation. They hardly answer your mails or texts. They come up with false excuses for the delay (like "we need more details about your bank address") or simply won't answer at all ! We also found out they never put the deposit on any Protected Tenancy Scheme, which is normally compulsory, and which they committed they would (written on the contract). I hold ISSA co-responsible for what's now happening. They're the ones who put us into trouble ! Why did they give us a wrong name when we asked them where they were driving us to ? So ignore those guys who ALSO make dirty money out of students who have never rented a flat before. I'm sure they knew what they were doing ! They didn't want us to know who the owners were to avoid our checking for more information on the Net ! Why would an estate agent's (Letzmove) pay a commission to another estate agent's ? Because their reputation was already so bad they HAD to use a cover-up ! Once we were at Letz Move, the Ash guy kept talking all the time, telling jokes, playing Mr Nice, so that we never thought of looking up his name on the Net. (March 8th) : after reading our review about them, the ISSA guys were very quick at contacting us ! Still denied any responsibility, urging us to remove that annoying rating ! Offered us to "kindly contact the landlord" (you have to be kind to get back money which legally belongs to YOU !). No news since then. I suppose they haven't been more successful than us OR they don't care (?). Letzmove have deleted their Facebook page (contained too many bad reviews !). (March 16th). (March 22nd) We have FINALLY got our deposit back (after more than 8 weeks !). It's been a lot of mails and contacts with different kinds of people to achieve that result. Thanks to them ! ???? No evidence ISSA ever did anything to help us with our problem... (?)... Read more
