I lived as a tenant in one of JP lettings properties for just over a year, the property was lovely. They inspect their properties regularly, they respond to emails very timely. On ending the tenancy they were very courteous around booking viewings and very fair and clear when they needed to retain a small part of our deposit for some minor cleaning tasks. I have had to intervene in the case of a lovely hard-working Latvian family who have been living in a property owned by a rogue landlord and managed by Chelton Brown Lettings. Although they paid their rent on time every month since the inception of the tenancy they found it virtually impossible to get repairs carried out. Their phone calls to the agency were ignored, their emails were not responded to et cetera. In consequence their is a whole host of disrepair in the property. They have a lovely 10-year-old autistic son who has been given a place at Northgate Art College for children with special needs in Kingsthorpe Northampton. They therefore looked for a property near the school and found one with JP property management limited. The property is ideal for their requirements close to the school and also will allow this young boys mother to work close by as well. However when this family asked to end their current tenancy release in order to enable them to move to prepare for the new school term Chelton Brown refused to give them a reference required by JP Property Management Ltd because they stated that the landlord was not willing to release them from their current tenancy! However J P Property Management were very professional and acted with real kindness and compassion towards this wonderful family and despite requiring a positive reference did everything they could to enable the family to move on. Julie Payne the Managing Director rang Donna Copp, the Lettings Manager at Chelton Brown and pointed out that although the tenants had fulfilled their obligations under the terms of the lease, the landlord had not fulfilled the repairing terms and as such it was outrageous that the Agency would not act to release them from their tenancy and give them the necessary reference. Julie Payne also reassured us that the Landlord of the new property was a kind man and that she would speak to him to point out the difficulties these prospective tenants were having and do everything she could to support their application. This was a tremendous ray of hope in the midst of a very dark chapter in the life of this family who had not only battled to get a correct diagnosis but also the proper educational support for their Son whilst living in a property which was increasingly dangerous but wholly inappropriate for their needs. Thankfully together we have been able shame Chelton Brown into agreeing to release them and provide them with the required reference!However this was after intense lobbying, much prayer and having been subjected to having to experience the phone being put down on me by Donna and Elie at Chelton Brown! Thank you J P Property Management for everything you have done to make the life of this lovely family a whole lot better and given them hope that not all Agents support Rogue Landlords!... Read more

Absolutely disgusting letting agency. Rude staff & ridiculously poor "management". Rented a property with a delightful Flea Infestation & was not informed until after getting the keys to the property on the night of our moving in date. The property had to be fumigated multiple times.... The Landlord's Mother continuously requested the agency inspect the property during our tenancy every month (of which we complained about numerous times... after all the stress of living there we just wanted to be left alone). Management said they would make sure the issues were rectified and we would be compnsated for all the hassle, of which we were not. After leaving the property we then had to fight to get our deposit money back which some of they kept (for repairs/damaged caused by the previous tenants). Avoid at all costs TERRIBLE money grabbing rude agency!...... Read more
