My advice would be not to use Joplings as an estate agent. I asked Joplings to rent a house out for me and they only took a £100 holding deposit, not the week rent that I was entitled to under the new laws. When the tenant decided not to take the house at the last minute (after waiting for them for six weeks) Joplings made the unilateral decision not to return the holding deposit back to me and said they would return it to the prospective tenant instead. This shows a lack of respect and concern for the rights of their customers.... Read more
