Disappointing from Joplings, I have had a couple of dealings with them and the first was good however the second was not. Our tenancy ended and because they did not manage the property they have washed their hands with the situation. The landlord has been slow to reply meaning it’s been over a month to sort the deposit. Being that Joplings let this to us I feel they should make sure all landlords they are working with are keeping to regulations and treating tenants correctly.
Room for improvement.

We have been working with Joplings for the last couple of years and in particular for a large project of 40 let only units in Thirsk where we used them as our chosen agents.
Alicia was our point of contact and was always very professional, quick to respond and found us tenants for the units much quicker than we anticipated.
We would definitley use Joplings again for any future units that become void and we were really impressed with Alicia and the team.

Not sure where the positive experiences come from - nothing remotely positive from my dealings with them. They don’t return calls, don’t answer emails and from where I’m looking can’t negotiate at all

Joplings' Thirsk office dealt with my late parent's properties very well for many years and when we needed help with an outgoing tenant who left our property in a very dirty and damaged condition and owing rent, Emily acted on our behalf in dealing with contractors and The TDS in a very efficient, sympathetic and timely manner.
Emily also acted on our behalf for the sale of the same property and following an early abortive sale, she went on to secure another buyer in a vert short timescale and kept in regular contact throughout the sale process to a swift completion.
I have nothing but praise for Emily and the staff at Joplings who were always available to take my calls and, if not, always got back to me in a timely manner.

My advice would be to avoid this firm. Despite being informed by the tenants of a property they manage of a faulty shower unit they fail to act in a responsible and professional manner resulting in my property suffering water damage from this continuous leaking unit. My wife contacts them this morning to be met with evasive and indifferent behaviour, quite shameful.

its amazing that these people thort it was a good idea to publically attack somebody on facebook sharing personal tenancy details and then think they can get away with deleting the comments when they realized they was wrong and even tho people had screenshotted it. no wonder so many people now gettin together to say how poor u are

We felt like we should be getting paid to try and communicate with Joplings, not vice versa. Very similar to walking backwards through porridge trying to get any information relayed. Would not recommend.

If I could give less than one star, I would. This seems like a case of toxic work culture leading to a complete lack of professionalism. Staff gosip publically about prospective tenants, and make it incredibly hard for anybody who isn't a friend of somebody who works in the office to let a property. Rude and beligerant on the phone, and snide and sarcastic in person.

Incompetent at the best of times. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but having stressful situations and move I really regretted ever coming here. So many issues that they just copy and paste and use the new tenants pictures if they notice them before the final check out after 3 years and they do anything to retain full deposits.
Unbelievable. Even at the dispute evidence they exaggerated on things.
Stuff they pointed out was broken at the start and still tried to say I caused it.
I could go on.... tread carefully with the way this lot are trained. And they use cowboys to do some of the faults. Made some right cockups.
Mark Preston plumbers were good as I can’t tie everyone with same group.
Electrician was good too.

Called and called, the agent Amy eventually Started to ignore my calls, all I wanted to do was enquire and view a property she never came back to me despite chaser emails. Absolutely useless
