25th May 2023 (11 mo. ago)Arrogance at the highest level! Was informed 24 hrs prior that my valuation had to be moved as a staff meeting was more important. Already booked the day off so fuming at the complete dis regard of this outfit. Completely unprofessional and extremely arrogant in my opinion!!!! Lesson learned!!!

Shari lead our process and was fundamental in making the process as smooth as possible, even when changes occurred or plans changed. Shari worked with both sell & buy side solicitors to speed up the process and make sure everyone was happy.

4th Apr 2024 (21 days ago)We recently used w h brown Harrogate to sell a relatives property and I have to say that the service was very good in general. We had been on the market with 2 other agents in Harrogate prior to browns dealing with the sale and had not had a great experience with either agent! So I was very specific in the service I wanted when instructing browns…. initially I dealt with the previous manager who was excellent but left the company prior to us agreeing a sale ….the new manager however Claire introduced herself and then handled the property negotiations at offer stage and chased the sale up, we completed approximately 9 weeks after agreeing the sale, she provided an excellent service.I was a manager of an estate agents for 25 years so know what makes a good agent and I can honestly recommend W H Brown Harrogate if you are looking to sell in the Harrogate area. Thank you Emma & Dorothy

3rd Apr 2024 (22 days ago)I have had a brilliant service from Carter Jonas Team - Special thank you to David Sinclair for showing me my new home at a last minute request and amending my tenancy paperwork quickly, to Celine for liaising with referencing for a small hiccup, and Grace Wilson for her input throughout the process. There may have been some hiccups, part of the nature of moving, but they were very hands on and rapid acting to smooth out the process for me!

We encountered them when buying a house a few years ago and were impressed at their fairness in handling the buyer/seller balance. Hence tje decision to use them when selling. This last transaction fell at a difficult time and had some complications but they showed patience, persistence, courtesy and even humour. In brief, we trust them.

I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Stephensons in Boroughbridge for buying or selling a property.- 1st Jun 2021 (2 years ago)Nick of Jackson-Stops was extremely helpful in communicating between us and the Vendor. We were buying from overseas, and his support in virtual viewings and addressing programme and technical issues, was invaluable. We are extremely happy with our new house and remain on good terms with the Vendors, who have also been very helpful with the transition of ownership.
5th Jan 2024 (16 weeks ago)We dealt with Richard Towler in respect of the purchase of our property in North Yorkshire. There were significant complications in the purchase which resulted from problems with our sale but Richard was able, through his patient and attentive approach, to keep everyone motivated to conclude the transaction. Whilst he didn't deal with our sale we would certainly use him in the future should we ever decide to sell our property. Although acting for the seller he made sure that we were kept informed about the latest position and was courteous and professional in all of his dealings with us without being intrusive.

From my initial contact, they have relentlessly kept great communication in what is a difficult market, to find our "forever house". Tom and Edward's experience is second to none. If we are ever in the market for another house (hopefully not, as my wife has promised), I would have no hesitation in calling Savills......10/10
8th Jan 2024 (15 weeks ago)Linley & Simpson manage the letting and full end to end property maintenance for us and do a fantastic job. Emma Mitchell in particular handled our latest tenancy post a long term renter vacating. The process was smooth, communication open and swift renewal achieved. I'd highly recommend them if you're a landlord seeking a stress-less agency/owner relationship.
18th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)We used Luke Miller for our own purchase & had good service (because there were no issues). Therefore we thought we could trust them with my dad’s home purchase, how wrong we were. The house had been let by Luke Miller prior to the purchase & had been empty before dad moved in. My elderly father moved in on Thursday & his welcome gift was no water for his first day & no heating or hot water since. Luke Miller made positive noises initially around helping to resolve the issue but have since back tracked & removed all assistance even though it was clearly a property they were managing & had not switched the water on since the last tenant. They have pushed all blame on the seller stating the solicitors should sort it. The solicitors say it is Luke Miller who are to blame & my father is stuck in the middle. Luke Miller were aware of the previous plumbing work that bled the radiators but they took no responsibility to check them before someone moved in. The radiators are now air locked & for some obscure reason the seller organised for the shower to be removed before moving in. Clearly everyone was aware of the problems & had no qualms in allowing a pensioner to move into a house that is not fit for purpose. My father who is a widower with restricted mobility has been left distraught by this terrible situation- this is his first home since my mum passed away. Luke Miller’s attitude today has been to wash their hands of the situation, which is shocking. This has left me feeling that Luke Miller cannot be trusted & I would recommend going elsewhere to avoid disappointment & dispair.

Made everything easy & stress free. The valuation was the better price and the property was let within 1 week. Harry is very professional, any issues/queries were delt with straight away. thank you both. Fantastic service.

From day one, I was impressed by the un-pressured, yet highly effective and very human contact that I had from each member of the Malton team. Just brilliant. Highly recommended
20th Feb 2024 (9 weeks ago)Stephensons (Easingwold) handled the sale of our property last summer. All members of the team who helped us were very professional and attentive. The viewings were very well handled and the house sold for the asking price within a week. Their liaison with our buyers was excellent.

24th Jan 2023 (1 year ago)Feels like giving them 1 star is too much! Shambolic from beginning to end. Firstly they agreed a sale to someone who had no proof of funds and was actually a deal sourcer (someone who makes money off of selling the property to an investor without the estate agents knowing, basically trying to sell it for a fee) Then we had a sale agreed but found property was unmortgageable which obviously wasn't their fault, however due to this we made a counter offer which took 3 weeks for them to reply, also not their fault you would think. However we found that they were holding our offer off as long as possible making stories up so they could try and find a better offer and they then proceeded to put it back on the market. All we would have needed was the truth. Then a couple of weeks later (last Friday) they told us they now was happy to accept our offer, so we immediately got our broker and spent yet more money in fees to get the purchase, only for them to tell us this morning (Tuesday) that they had accepted another offer and the property was no longer on the market. We are property investors, and have purchased many properties but never ever have we come across a company that's so amateur and due to their incompetence and lying it has cost us thousands of pounds. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

(22 reviews)9th Dec 2023 (20 weeks ago)AVOID! If I could give zero stars I would. Please read the other 1star reviews. All accurate. Unless of course you enjoy paying someone £ks for doing nothing. Mark does literally the bare minimum to get paid i.e. list your property on right move and maybe email his database. I had to do all the viewings myself (despite asking prior and Williamsons saying they would do them), and chase for feedback. He went on holiday towards the start of our listing with them without telling us. They came to put the for sale sign up and put it facing IN to the garden. We turned it around ourselves. There was very little communication. He will blame the fact that my phone apparently didn't have a ring tone (although it rang and I always answered or called back) despite it being fine for everyone else. And despite it being the 21 century where things like text/WhatsApp/email etc exist. We didn't hear from him again after we accepted an offer, after 3 months I got in touch with them and asked if they could chase things and then it was Lynne who responded. We have still not heard a thing from Mark since. The only saving grace for this agent is Lynne in the office. Lovely and friendly and always willing to help but that was hugely overshadowed by the arrogance and neglect of Mark Williamson himself.

He quickly arranged several more viewings which led to a sale within 4 weeks of advertising. I was impressed with the communication throughout. Would highly recommend Davis & Lund.
