25th May 2023 (1 year ago)Arrogance at the highest level! Was informed 24 hrs prior that my valuation had to be moved as a staff meeting was more important. Already booked the day off so fuming at the complete dis regard of this outfit. Completely unprofessional and extremely arrogant in my opinion!!!! Lesson learned!!!

Shari lead our process and was fundamental in making the process as smooth as possible, even when changes occurred or plans changed. Shari worked with both sell & buy side solicitors to speed up the process and make sure everyone was happy.

4th Apr 2024 (16 weeks ago)We recently used w h brown Harrogate to sell a relatives property and I have to say that the service was very good in general. We had been on the market with 2 other agents in Harrogate prior to browns dealing with the sale and had not had a great experience with either agent! So I was very specific in the service I wanted when instructing browns…. initially I dealt with the previous manager who was excellent but left the company prior to us agreeing a sale ….the new manager however Claire introduced herself and then handled the property negotiations at offer stage and chased the sale up, we completed approximately 9 weeks after agreeing the sale, she provided an excellent service.I was a manager of an estate agents for 25 years so know what makes a good agent and I can honestly recommend W H Brown Harrogate if you are looking to sell in the Harrogate area. We encountered them when buying a house a few years ago and were impressed at their fairness in handling the buyer/seller balance. Hence tje decision to use them when selling. This last transaction fell at a difficult time and had some complications but they showed patience, persistence, courtesy and even humour. In brief, we trust them.

We would recommend Stephensons of Boroughbridge following our experience. We were buying from overseas, and his support in virtual viewings and addressing programme and technical issues, was invaluable. We are extremely happy with our new house and remain on good terms with the Vendors, who have also been very helpful with the transition of ownership.
25th Jun 2024 (5 weeks ago)We purchased a property through Robin Jessop - Bedale. They were good through the viewing and offer process but once the Memorandum of Sale had been sent out, we did not hear from them again, even on the day of completion. We were left to liaise with the vendors direct or through solicitors on all matters appertaining to the sale. It is a service like this that gives estate agents a bad name and I am a retired estate agent!
25th Apr 2024 (13 weeks ago)Disappointing from Joplings, I have had a couple of dealings with them and the first was good however the second was not. Our tenancy ended and because they did not manage the property they have washed their hands with the situation. The landlord has been slow to reply meaning it’s been over a month to sort the deposit. Being that Joplings let this to us I feel they should make sure all landlords they are working with are keeping to regulations and treating tenants correctly. Room for improvement.

From my initial contact, they have relentlessly kept great communication in what is a difficult market, to find our "forever house". Tom and Edward's experience is second to none. If we are ever in the market for another house (hopefully not, as my wife has promised), I would have no hesitation in calling Savills......10/10
8th Jan 2024 (6 mo. ago)Linley & Simpson manage the letting and full end to end property maintenance for us and do a fantastic job. Emma Mitchell in particular handled our latest tenancy post a long term renter vacating. The process was smooth, communication open and swift renewal achieved. I'd highly recommend them if you're a landlord seeking a stress-less agency/owner relationship.

9th Jul 2024 (18 days ago)Kristina and Annie were amazing. We moved into our lovely 4 bed property just over a week ago. From the viewing right the way through to being given the keys they made the process stress free. They were a kind and friendly voice with great confidence and constant reassurance our application was positive. We are now settled in to our home and even now we still have there continuous support. Thankyou so much Kristina and Annie for everything you have done for Jade, myself and the kids. We really look forward to many more years in this home.
12th Jul 2024 (15 days ago)We recently purchased a new house, supposedly, through Cundalls, sadly I would hope we never have to use or rely on them in any way ever again. Initial online contact to obtain details produced no reply - we had to make a personnel call into their office to get this information with a poor internal reason given. As the new build progressed we had absolutely no contact what ever to keep us informed at any time. If it wasn't for our personnel contact with the builder we would still be awaiting this estate agent for any contact. We sincerely hope that they have not charged the developer for their totally inadequate service. (Unfortunately we have had to give one, undeserved, star in order to post this review)

24th Jan 2023 (1 year ago)Feels like giving them 1 star is too much! Shambolic from beginning to end. Firstly they agreed a sale to someone who had no proof of funds and was actually a deal sourcer (someone who makes money off of selling the property to an investor without the estate agents knowing, basically trying to sell it for a fee) Then we had a sale agreed but found property was unmortgageable which obviously wasn't their fault, however due to this we made a counter offer which took 3 weeks for them to reply, also not their fault you would think. However we found that they were holding our offer off as long as possible making stories up so they could try and find a better offer and they then proceeded to put it back on the market. All we would have needed was the truth. Then a couple of weeks later (last Friday) they told us they now was happy to accept our offer, so we immediately got our broker and spent yet more money in fees to get the purchase, only for them to tell us this morning (Tuesday) that they had accepted another offer and the property was no longer on the market. We are property investors, and have purchased many properties but never ever have we come across a company that's so amateur and due to their incompetence and lying it has cost us thousands of pounds. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

They weren't just an Agent who showed us around, they kept in touch at the start of the process to advise us on our house purchase, and processed the paperwork really swiftly. Thank you Andy, Naomi and Ben for everything we highly recommend your services as a professional, friendly company to deal with. Paul & Christine Jackson

(22 reviews)9th Dec 2023 (7 mo. ago)AVOID! If I could give zero stars I would. Please read the other 1star reviews. All accurate. Unless of course you enjoy paying someone £ks for doing nothing. Mark does literally the bare minimum to get paid i.e. list your property on right move and maybe email his database. I had to do all the viewings myself (despite asking prior and Williamsons saying they would do them), and chase for feedback. He went on holiday towards the start of our listing with them without telling us. They came to put the for sale sign up and put it facing IN to the garden. We turned it around ourselves. There was very little communication. He will blame the fact that my phone apparently didn't have a ring tone (although it rang and I always answered or called back) despite it being fine for everyone else. And despite it being the 21 century where things like text/WhatsApp/email etc exist. We didn't hear from him again after we accepted an offer, after 3 months I got in touch with them and asked if they could chase things and then it was Lynne who responded. We have still not heard a thing from Mark since. The only saving grace for this agent is Lynne in the office. Lovely and friendly and always willing to help but that was hugely overshadowed by the arrogance and neglect of Mark Williamson himself.

He quickly arranged several more viewings which led to a sale within 4 weeks of advertising. I was impressed with the communication throughout. Would highly recommend Davis & Lund.
