25th May 2023 (1 year ago)Arrogance at the highest level! Was informed 24 hrs prior that my valuation had to be moved as a staff meeting was more important. Already booked the day off so fuming at the complete dis regard of this outfit. Completely unprofessional and extremely arrogant in my opinion!!!! Lesson learned!!!

Shari lead our process and was fundamental in making the process as smooth as possible, even when changes occurred or plans changed. Shari worked with both sell & buy side solicitors to speed up the process and make sure everyone was happy.
4th Jun 2024 (17 weeks ago)The best Agent in the area in my opinion. They can't do enough to help you - the team are hard working grafters. Jules went above and beyond to assist with my enquiries as did other members of the team. Honest, trustworthy, energetic and professional.
9th Jul 2024 (12 weeks ago)My son bought his first flat, advertised through William H Brown recently. The buying process was explained to him and he chose to use the recommended conveyancing service. The communication from the conveyancer was terrible with emails going unanswered which is less than ideal for a first time buyer, finding the process stressful enough. The situation was saved by Clare at William H Brown. She deserves five stars for acting as a conduit between my son and the conveyancer, reassuring him that everything was on track and forcing the pace at the end of the process, even when she was supposed to be on holiday. Buying a property is always a nightmare but Clare kept us updated and involved her management when required to get the purchase completed on time.
26th Jul 2024 (10 weeks ago)If sales were straightforward we wouldn't need estate agents! Thank you so much to Tim and team for at last getting us over the line with our very trying and tedious recent sale (which to make things even more complicated became 2 sales as we had to split the property in the end). Genuine people doing a good job in an area with many unique and therefore not straightforward properties.
5th Sep 2024 (28 days ago)AVOID AT ALL COST ABSOLUTELY APPALLING. We have been treated terribly since day dot, they lied to us about our property and said all this work would be done and it never was. The property was filthy and unsafe, they took all our money and sent it to the landlord without our permission after we ended the tenancy. We delt with David Sinclair and the service is completely unprofessional and extremely rude, he took days and days to reply to us and always ignored my questions and was always sarcastic on the phone.
16th Mar 2024 (6 mo. ago)This is not the first time we have used Blenkin&co. We encountered them when buying a house a few years ago and were impressed at their fairness in handling the buyer/seller balance. Hence tje decision to use them when selling. This last transaction fell at a difficult time and had some complications but they showed patience, persistence, courtesy and even humour. In brief, we trust them.
5th Sep 2024 (28 days ago)Sue and Nathan in the Boroughbridge office were fantastic. They dealt with our house sale. The communication from them was excellent, we were always kept updated on all viewings and sale developments. In fact Sue went above and beyond to sell our house, proactively chasing our buyers for updates on the sale. Our house was also not easy to sell being a small cottage with a flying freehold, but Stephensons put it as a featured property on Rightmove a number of times to generate interest until we found a buyer who it suited.- 1st Jun 2021 (3 years ago)Nick of Jackson-Stops was extremely helpful in communicating between us and the Vendor. We were buying from overseas, and his support in virtual viewings and addressing programme and technical issues, was invaluable. We are extremely happy with our new house and remain on good terms with the Vendors, who have also been very helpful with the transition of ownership.
25th Jun 2024 (14 weeks ago)We purchased a property through Robin Jessop - Bedale. They were good through the viewing and offer process but once the Memorandum of Sale had been sent out, we did not hear from them again, even on the day of completion. We were left to liaise with the vendors direct or through solicitors on all matters appertaining to the sale. It is a service like this that gives estate agents a bad name and I am a retired estate agent!
25th Apr 2024 (23 weeks ago)Disappointing from Joplings, I have had a couple of dealings with them and the first was good however the second was not. Our tenancy ended and because they did not manage the property they have washed their hands with the situation. The landlord has been slow to reply meaning it’s been over a month to sort the deposit. Being that Joplings let this to us I feel they should make sure all landlords they are working with are keeping to regulations and treating tenants correctly. Room for improvement.

From my initial contact, they have relentlessly kept great communication in what is a difficult market, to find our "forever house". Tom and Edward's experience is second to none. If we are ever in the market for another house (hopefully not, as my wife has promised), I would have no hesitation in calling Savills......10/10

8th Jan 2024 (8 mo. ago)Linley & Simpson manage the letting and full end to end property maintenance for us and do a fantastic job. Emma Mitchell in particular handled our latest tenancy post a long term renter vacating. The process was smooth, communication open and swift renewal achieved. I'd highly recommend them if you're a landlord seeking a stress-less agency/owner relationship.

24th Jan 2023 (1 year ago)Feels like giving them 1 star is too much! Shambolic from beginning to end. Firstly they agreed a sale to someone who had no proof of funds and was actually a deal sourcer (someone who makes money off of selling the property to an investor without the estate agents knowing, basically trying to sell it for a fee) Then we had a sale agreed but found property was unmortgageable which obviously wasn't their fault, however due to this we made a counter offer which took 3 weeks for them to reply, also not their fault you would think. However we found that they were holding our offer off as long as possible making stories up so they could try and find a better offer and they then proceeded to put it back on the market. All we would have needed was the truth. Then a couple of weeks later (last Friday) they told us they now was happy to accept our offer, so we immediately got our broker and spent yet more money in fees to get the purchase, only for them to tell us this morning (Tuesday) that they had accepted another offer and the property was no longer on the market. We are property investors, and have purchased many properties but never ever have we come across a company that's so amateur and due to their incompetence and lying it has cost us thousands of pounds. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

(22 reviews)9th Dec 2023 (9 mo. ago)AVOID! If I could give zero stars I would. Please read the other 1star reviews. All accurate. Unless of course you enjoy paying someone £ks for doing nothing. Mark does literally the bare minimum to get paid i.e. list your property on right move and maybe email his database. I had to do all the viewings myself (despite asking prior and Williamsons saying they would do them), and chase for feedback. He went on holiday towards the start of our listing with them without telling us. They came to put the for sale sign up and put it facing IN to the garden. We turned it around ourselves. There was very little communication. He will blame the fact that my phone apparently didn't have a ring tone (although it rang and I always answered or called back) despite it being fine for everyone else. And despite it being the 21 century where things like text/WhatsApp/email etc exist. We didn't hear from him again after we accepted an offer, after 3 months I got in touch with them and asked if they could chase things and then it was Lynne who responded. We have still not heard a thing from Mark since. The only saving grace for this agent is Lynne in the office. Lovely and friendly and always willing to help but that was hugely overshadowed by the arrogance and neglect of Mark Williamson himself.
