Only work for themselves! Worst estate agent ever! They rented out my property without my permission at an extremely below market price and started sending me the funds without even seeking my approval/authorisation. Only found this out when I didn't receive my funds and only got sent the low amount and they expected to me accept that price. They accepted a lower price just so they could make money and didn't even consider me in the equation - even though it is my property! Started doing renovation work around the house without my approval even though we do not have a tenancy/maintenance agreement and then sent me an extortionate bill saying I need to pay this. Again, acting like it is their property and they can do whatever they want with it and it's only their money to make.... Read more

DO NOT rent any houses/ rooms from the agency!!!!!!! Their service was horrible and unprofessional. Just moved out from my previous home and not able to get my deposit back. They charged me for cleaning fee, change of mattress and repainted the wall which I’m sure I have cleaned everything and I’m not responsible for the new mattress and the repaint as these are seen as normal wear and tear. They are the worst agency I have ever deal with!... Read more

Worst agency I have ever dealt with. Appalling customer service, ridiculous staff and terrible properties. Deducted money without consent or warning for stuff that happened when I was not there. Property robbed and they not only had a go at me for asking for help whilst shocked and distressed, but also said "its not our problem". Check-out was stressful, after they tried to get me to go wait at a proprety I no longer lived in for 4 hours instead of giving me an appointment.... I wouldn't recommended them to my worst enemy and would say they are worse than the agencies I dealt with when I was a student...... Read more

Agents in this agency have very poor attitude and they are very unprofessional when it comes to answering customer questions, i would really prefer to talk to manager or director of this agency as this kind of behaviour should not be tolerated. Thanks for reading my concern... Read more

This has most certainly been the worst level of professionalism I have ever experienced and I have used a number of agencies in the past. I had Tanzila managing my rented property and the behaviour was beyond acceptable. She was rude on a number of occasions, patronising and without the slightest clue about customer service. One example is that, when my mattress was reported damaged with evidence proving so, I was told in the most condescending manner that perhaps the problem lay with my back, and that I should get it checked out. They also ripped us off in fees, so much so that we had to report it. Do not expect this agency to do you any service and expect the worst attitude. I’m not quite sure how this business is still running to be honest.... Read more

Chances are you won't see your deposit back unless you take them to court. Before you call me out for posting a 'fake review', no, this is not my real name, and I'd be stupid to post an online review with my real name unless absolutely necessary. The truth is, the service was not the worst, it was decent at first. Something broke down like a week after we moved into the property and they promptly arranged its replacement. But it all went downhill from there. When we left, they basically not only withheld our entire deposit but also asked for extra money to refurbish the entire property at our expense! I'm gonna say that the property wasn't modern or in the best of conditions when we moved in, and it obviously wasn't either when we moved out, because they don't just get better by themselves. Needless to say, we didn't pay squat. Not only that, but after visiting the property again after a couple a months from moving out, we noticed, THEY DIDN'T EVEN REFURBISH OR CHANGE ANYTHING! They took our thousands of £ (and even dared to ask for more) and pocketed it. To be honest, I feel sorry for the poor sods who moved in after us. Yes, most letting agents are scum, but these are the lowest of the low. Absolute fraudsters. If you signed a contract with these guys and you see this, make sure you document every thing in the property and take pictures so that when they try to scam you, you can take them to court and keep your money. We were silly enough to let them steal our money, but you don't have to be! Avoid at all costs!!!!!!!!!... Read more

Keystones attempted to retain £3000 of our £3500 deposit for “damages.” In the end we went to adjudication and got almost all of it back. The adjudicator commented repeatedly that their deductions were unreasonable, excessive and without foundation. As all of these reviews say, keep well clear of Keystones and never rent from them. Never before have I experienced such unprofessional behaviour. They should be shut down. They make huge deductions knowing that most people are not in a position to challenge them and treat tenants with such contempt and arrogance. Before they allege this is a fake review, we rented 15 Thornaby House for 2 years and moved out in October. Avoid avoid avoid.... Read more
