Ever since Martin valued and measured our home to the final viewing with Charlotte on our new home and the many phone calls, Hills have done themselves proud and made the whole buying and selling process a stress free experience. Comminication between all parties has been great and theres always someone available to provide answers. I would definitely recommend Hills as everything is done for you at a very reasonable price.
Unfortunately couldn't recommend, no evening viewings, I was told the office closes at 5.30pm and people could have time off work if they wish to view a house. Weekend viewing is booked up 2 weeks in advance. I wouldn't have thought this was useful to vendors or prospective buyers. In a competitive market I would expect better customer service. If I was a manager with this company I would be making changes
Great team. Great service, would recommend to anyone selling a home.
UPDATE....... As I state in my review below the review from Michael Hall clarifies it clearly-The Step have quiet clearly asked him to do a review for them just proving further that they were in cohesion with each other. I can 100% clarify that we were advised by our solicitor to take them to court. I don’t think a professional solicitor would say that do you? That says it all. Trust me, you must AVOID this estate agents. We put our house on the market late 2017 and decided to use The Step. The house we were buying was a very difficult purchase with it being an old farm house so the process was taking a little longer. Although it was only 5 months from start to finish and our solicitor told us that’s actually about average! But we were made to feel very under pressure. It didn’t help that the buyers were also putting a lot of pressure on us too. The owner Janice is an extremely awful person. I’m so surprised that this estate agents is still in business. It became very apparent to us that even though she was technically working for us and we were paying her she actually was working with the buyers more and was in cohesion with them throughout the sale. Our lovely sweet solicitor refused to ever talk to her again because Janice gave her a lot of abuse on the telephone telling her she was incompetent at her job amongst other things. The whole process was extremely stressful and made a lot worse by The Step. She is a very vicious women. The company is very unprofessional. Our new house completed in February but we held back from paying them for their services because we were advised by our solicitor we could take them to court for misconduct. Unfortunately having 3 small children and work we just didn’t have the time or effort to do this so we payed and accepted it was a very bad decision and just looked forward to our new house :-)
Fantastic service in securing the lease on a commercial property. We couldn't have asked for a better Estate Agent than Daniel, who from start to finish was not only professional and efficient but so genuinely helpful and friendly, which really made all the difference in what could otherwise have been a stressful negotiation.
Racist!!!! They charge an additional £80 on top of all the other fees for a check to prove you are a British citizen.....shocking. What if you can't prove it- are you refused because you aren't British?? I viewed a property and Lesley told me what another applicants annual salary was whom I had just met on the viewing. Abysmal company.
I cannot praise or thank Your Move enough. They got us a sale agreed within 3 days and we have today exchanged after only 3 weeks! Pauline was courteous, friendly and so helpful. We spoke to her everyday and not once was she dismissive. Would 100% recommend.
Just completed purchasing a house listed by your move.
Quite an incompetent estate agent:
Lost/forgot bookings, needing me to constantly rearrange.
Failed to inform the current occupier that I was coming for a viewing until 5 minutes before arrival.
Didn't know any details about the house that would normally be useful to a buyer (age of boiler, council tax rate, rough cost of bills etc.)
Upon handing over of keys, didn't inform me of the burglar alarm code, leading to me setting the alarm off.
They have friendly staff over the phone though, so that's nice.
Bella, Barbara and Elaine have been professional all the way the process.
Bella came round at first contact and walked us through the process.
Costs were agreed based on the selling price, we opted to have the professional photos taken at an extra cost, to be honest this was money well spent as we had 4 viewings and 3 offers in the first week.
They answered and returned calls quickly chasing answers to questions asked
Genuinely a pleasure to deal with
The worst agency, their hiding different commission, the tenants doesn't have any rights

Excellent service and a special thanks to Angela who dealt with my wife and l very professionally, would highly recommend this company as they came recommended to us Thank you !
BEWARE - ALL OF THE 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE FROM FAKE ACCOUNTS. THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS, AND EVERY TIME A REAL REVIEW GETS POSTED, THEY WRITE THEIR OWN. EVERY POSITIVE REVIEW IS FROM A NEW ACCOUNT WITH NO OTHER REVIEWS AND ARE CLEARLY ALL WRITTEN BY THE SAME PERSON. THIS IS BLATANT FRAUD AND I'M HOPING THE PUBLIC ARE NOT FOOLISH TO FALL FOR THIS DECEPTION. THESE AGENTS ARE RUNNING A SCAM WHEREBY THEY WILL RETAIN DEPOSITS FOR NON-EXISTENT CLEANING AND ARE NOW TRYING TO COVER UP THEIR DECEPTION WITH FAKE REVIEWS. WHAT LOW LIFE SCUM THEY ARE. IF IT NOT FOR THEIR OWN FAKE REVIEWS, THEIR OVERALL RATING WOULD BE LESS THAN 2. HOW PATHETIC!
Absolute bunch of thieves with no morals. They are rude and arrogant. When I moved into the flat, it was in a disgusting and filthy condition. I spent an entire week cleaning just to make the place a habitable standard of hygiene. The fridge freezer and washer dryer were not working and I had to wait two weeks for these to be repaired.
Two years later when I moved out of the flat, it was in an immaculate condition. I spent over a week scrubbing the interior and it was in a far more superior condition than the day I moved in. However, they insisted on deducting £70 from my deposit for cleaning fees. This was totally unwarranted and I sent loads of emails (most of which went unanswered) pleading my case. The few replies I received were of a very insulting and patronising nature. They attached photos which showed slight dust on the floor (from when I moved furniture of the flat) and a slight streak on the glass where I had cleaned the windows. They were being extremely petty and their reasons for withholding a significant part of my deposit were completely fabricated and unjustified. Withholding £70 was unreasonable.
They argued that they had to employ a cleaning company to clean the flat for a £70 fee. I repeatedly asked them for a copy of the invoice for this cleaning service (after all, as I'm paying for something it is fair and my legal right to receive a copy of the invoice to see how I am being charged). However, this invoice never materialised. Customer service is non-existent. They are nothing but a bunch of money-grabbing jerks. The scum of the Earth.
The day I moved in,to the flat, the agent gave me the incorrect keys so I couldn't enter the property first time and had to make return trip back to the branch. I understand this is an error anybody could make and the agent verbally apologised at the time. But this is another example of shocking incompetence and lack of regard to customer service.
Withholding large parts of deposits for non-existent cleaning is clearly a scam Griffin Estates is running with all of their tenants. It's unfair and probably illegal too. They are clearly making tons of money from this fraud and deception. Do not rent through this estate agent or you will regret it.
