This club has definitely gone down hill. I been a member since it opened as Next Generation. The steam room was broken on poolside. The bubble pool was cold on poolside and Celsius pool was cold The male changing rooms are a mess. Not good enough for the membership prices charged.... Read more

I joined the centre with my 16yr old daughter in September 2021. Mitch showed me around the gym & how to use all the equipment. He was friendly & thorough. Although, I knew I would never use the GYM :). I explained to Mitch that I hate the gym, I get very anxious just thinking about it, and I find it a very intimidating, hostile environment. I was very reluctant to join PT sessions but willing to push myself Mitch convinced me. I have put on too much weight for my young age :-D & due to Menopause. I’ve always been a size 10, now size 14. I’ve always done regular exercise but very little in the last few years. We started working immediately. First once a week & I included some of the classes offered in the membership. Then I increased the sessions to twice a week and soon up to three times a week with Mitch. I could not have done this without his support, encouragement, perseverance & patience. He recognised my strength & my weakness and pushed me where I needed pushing. He guides you through every exercise & corrects you to avoid injury. I enjoy every session no matter how hard it is. I walk away feeling great & with a smile. I am feeling stronger every day, more confident & no more hot flashes …superb :-D. As well as warming up to Gym work, I have attended the Healthy Eating Seminars hosted by Mitch that have been immensely helpful. Having got lost in the FADS diets, I now have reverted to normal balanced nutritional diet & feeling so much better for it & happier with my eating habits. Thank you so much Mitch. 9 out of 10 adults go straight in the pool without a shower so you can imagine the hygiene of the pool and hot tub, Older kids not allowed in the outside pool despite it being so busy indoors and swimming then catching someone else's hair in the water is not a pleasant experience and people were using their mobile phones in the aromatic room and stone chair when trying to relax. The loud music from their phone makes it difficult to relax, the rules are there but no one is following since no one bothers to enforce them, the public pool probably has more control with this than this expensive club.... The classes, coaches, reception staff and gym are great, it's just really really let down by the restaurant. Can be incredibly slow (1hr for a burger when not busy with no communication) and some of the serving staff should not be customer fronting! Would give zero stars for the restaurant four or five for the rest of the place. Makes membership 50/50.... Read more

Wonderfully relaxing when you want it to be, and incredibly punishing when you need it to be. Great gym, pool, spa and cafe. I've yet to use the tennis or squash courts, but they seem well equipped and in good repair. It's not cheap, but it's great for building a healthier lifestyle and making better choices. I find myself working on my laptop from the cafe regularly, after checking the kids into one of the regular age appropriate activities. Staff are helpful and friendly. Find Max in the sales team if you're considering joining. He was great on our tour and still comes and finds me to check up on my progress.... Read more

Been a member of David Llyod Dartford for 3 months now and overall is an ok experience. However I feel the service here in the cafe area is shocking and appalling. This week I have had 5 orders in a row with mistakes/items missing or poor service: No chips with flatbread when added chips onto the order Beers a 45 minute wait - found them lying on the back bar had to get them myself Bottle of Coke an hour to come during quiet period Two cups of tea during breakfast arriving a long while after breakfast despite being ordered before the food Chicken burger with onion rings swapped for chips - no member of staff communicated that there was no stock of chips, got told nothing can be done. In addition to poor communication from staff, unprofessional attitude from the floor staff with teenagers walking around aimlessly with no one taking control. Why there isn’t a Team leader is beyond me - it’s a free for all providing a dismal and shocking service. Serious basic training needs to be introduced. Kind regards, Dan... Read more

DL is not a cheap gym and automatically there is a level of expectations in mind. Especially after being with Virgin gym at Canary Wharf. I was disappointed to see the changing rooms/corridors that lead to the pools/the showers always dirty and messy. Slippery to walk on. Im tempted to use the word disgusting. Celcius room. Such a disappointment. Broken whirlpool, wet every where, used towels left over by clients, relaxing room is dark, messy and dirty. Nothing like the photo posted on the website. Family/kids pool do not look clean. Dirty tiles. On the plus side, great gym equipments, restaurant is ok. A bit pricy but ok. Tennis courts are good. Trainers are great. Staff is great. But then...most of these things are better in other gyms too at better deals. Just my opinion.... Read more
