They had our property for a couple of years and left it empty for about 7 months and didn't pay rent for that period! Some people have no morals. Apparently it was our fault even though they had exclusivity for the whole property.

We had to go in one of they’re house and when we asked how much was the holding deposit they said that first was £250 after it became £500 and after they asked us for £700!
After all of it we had a problem so we couldn’t took the house anymore but we paid already all the amount to let the house but without sign any contract!
They said that we had only to leave to them the holding deposit! But after a week we were still waiting all the money and after they started to ask us more money and that they were not giving us back the amount that we gave to them!

Terrible communication, we waited over a year for a repair, another time a random person was sent and not a professional to deal with infestation, or they ordered a new oven without even checking the size so when it arrived it wouldn't fit.. I'm so glad the landlord finally decided to cancel the contract with them.

Please avoid this agency. They are terrible and selfish. They are deceiving. They don't carry out anything on time and always complicate issues. You are never able to reach them when you need something. The are ready with excuses for the anything that goes wrong and even when you try leave them they still somehow find ways to compalicte things. Terrible is all in saying.

the are collecting money but if you need something..they dont send repair man.. just membee of agency..
we had lake in the bathroom... we needed waiting 3years... (!!!!!!) for someone who repaired.. and the water bill was more than 1500£..

Avoid this agency at all costs. We rented with them for 2 years and had countless problems with the property. Getting a hold of them is impossible, even when our boiler broke leaving no hot water. Another issue was when the ceiling collapsed. At the end of our contract we had to threaten legal action in order to get our deposit back. When we required anything they 'asked' us to first give a 5 star review on here - all the good reviews will be from blackmailing tenants. Awful company.

August 1 I saw an ad for room 10 Alexandra road n8 0pp I went they had one like the ones who rented the whole flat and he gave me a room with 430 without a contract I paid normally until the beginning of October on October 2 I paid 450 and from a job I did for them but 390 from October 5 until now the boiler was not working they did not give me my money to go back and yesterday they changed the locks they picked up my things from my locked room they broke it and threw them out today I went and got a laundry I did not have for 20 days are the cheapest scammers I have ever met in my life I would call them animals and houses stables but I will offend the animals and their space who makes the mistake and stays in their house has a problem and the 5 stars they put in here are yours neither the people I put in deserve the cheap and stupid thing that exists in humanity. Crooks company crooksssssssssssssssss

Oh No!! Worst experience I’ve ever had with an agency. They never pick up the phone, they lack communication, they don’t bother with their clients, they don’t reply to messages and the list goes on. To book an appointment with a specific agent, they are never available and you have to call MANY times to talk to the agent. They don’t care about the properties and continuously lie to their clients. So unprofessional! STAY AWAY from this headache and don’t bother with this DODGY agency!!

Worst “agency” ever. If giving 1 star would have been an option for sure would have given it.
Never answered calls, emails, nothing.
Never made any repairs to the flat even tho it’s in really bad conditions.
The people that work there have no experience at all regarding what they’re doing. Been asking at least 20 times to come and fix the flat but never replied or gave any s**t about the conditions in where we were living. Hopefully someone else will read this and won’t deal with them in the future. Also paid £800 of deposit and been asked to pay another deposit. Total scam, be aware people.

Absolutely terrible experience for me!
We currently have a legal agreement with them as we had to sue them. They legally agreed to pay £3,000 in five £600 instalments a year ago. They’ve paid us £100 a month thus far after constant and exhausting chasing on the phone and via email with very little communication from them.
We appreciated their situation through the pandemic and, although they NEVER contacted us to see their options regarding their legal obligation to pay us, we didn’t demand our payment between March and August.
This month, their employee promised £100 last Friday after, again, a lot of chasing on the phone. They transferred £50 on Monday. They’re now not answering the phone and emails.
When I call them, no one knows nothing and the person in charge is always “on lunch”, “unwell”, or “in a meeting”. That is, on the rare occasions they do pick up the phone. I was also hung up onto several times.

Looking at the good reviews and the bad ones, it's likely that the positive ones are from employees and friends of the agency. VERY bad experience with the agency and its employees. They aren't knowledgable. They're not respectful. They hung up on their clients on the rare occasions they do answer the phone.
I would not recommend them to anyone. All bad reviews have said the same things for years.

Never pick up the phone. Installed an oven wrong which left a life threatening gas leak. No hot water for 3 weeks in December and took SO long to sort it out. Flat was mouldy. Literally do anything you can to avoid these crooks

The worst company you can deal with. Unprofessional. Sitting on rent, only deposit when you call and remind them 20 times. Stay away and save yourself a headache. No customer service at all. you are better off renting or selling yourself instead of giving it to them.

Agent 35 mins late to viewing. Didn’t ever answer phone calls or return missed calls/emails. Spent 2 weeks chasing up a property only to find out that it had been let to another party even though we contacted and said that we wanted it first. Finally went to the office and first met with denials that we ever called and then tried to argue that it got through to a different department (a.k.a. the desk half a meter behind him). No ownership of responsibility or solution for their glaring mistake. Overall very unprofessional and rude. Would not trust them with my property

Avoid at all cost! They didnt return my deposit at the end of the tenancy, and they ignored all emails calls from me. When I called them they always told me that the finance manager is off sick or on holiday and did not proceed with the return of deposit.

AVOID AT ALL COST!! We had to sue them and although they ended up offering a settlement to prevent the court from fining them £7,000, they have not paid us the amount we legally agreed with the Court. We agreed to allow them to pay in instalments; out of the £600 monthly instalment we agreed, they only paid us £100 and that was only because I chased them for days otherwise they never bother with me or their agents hung up on me.
Their agency is, according to them, living month by month and struggling financially. Considering how poorly they treated me when I was their tenant and now, despite a LEGAL agreement, I’m not surprised.
Their agents are unprofessional and rude. I have sent dozens of emails to get them to pay our legal instalments, they haven’t replied to any.

Wish we had looked at these reviews before renting through Monsoon. Moved into student rental on 12 September. Flat filthy, mould on walls cupboards for storage full of rubbish. 1 week on oven broken. 10 days on no hot water. Despite numerous calls and emails no help . Fobbed off with excuses . Still waiting for support. Currently waiting for legal advice.

DO NOT USE!!!!!!!!! About to lodge a complaint with all the relevant independent complaints bodies. If you look at any of the other 1 star reviews this is a very common thread with this company. They are super shady and refuse to answer the phone or contact you despite you reaching out to them multiple times. It is a super unprofessional family run company with little to no consideration of customer satisfaction. If you have any sense you would not use this company... ever! And I am not just saying this for the sake of saying it, if you look at my other review I had an amazing experience with another letting agency!!!

Do not rent with Monsoon properties. DO NOT RENT WITH MONSOON PROPERTIES. Flat was disgusting and unclean when we moved in, with mushrooms growing in the bathroom, and after we cleaned throughout the year, they took our deposit away citing the dirty nature of the flat that was there when we started. Poor show. Disorganised, unfriendly, crooks. Do not rent with them.

Very unprofessional! When we were living in their flat we complained several times about mould and things that were falling apart but nothing was done! For example: they left carbon monoxide leaking in the flat! Three years ago when our lead tenant originally moved in there were no beds in the flat and it’s was filthy! But they still made her pay full rent! The staff were useless (never returned any of our calls even though they said they would call back) very disappointed with monsoon considering how much money we paid them every month. Will never use them again and I don’t recommend them at all.

I am so glad they did, as from the get go they dealt with all my queries effectively and thoroughly. I could not have expected better service, and was especially pleased with the admin who did not tire from attending my countless calls and forwarding me to the appropriate member of staff. Right from the very start all the staff at Monsoon could not have done any more to help us have a smooth ride whilst renting out a property.
We would 100% recommend Monsoon Properties and the service that they provide. We will certainly be using their services again.

Terrible communication; they will ignore all your emails, the phone will be busy half the time, and, for the other half, left to ring for ages (it's almost like they're waiting for you to give up). You never seem to know who you're speaking to: I called one day to discuss a previous conversation (the person on the other end used the pronoun "I") only to call the next day to find out that the person I spoke to the day before was not the one with whom I had the original conversation. So why did he say "I said..." multiple times? These people are terrible, a bunch of boys straight out of school

As a businessman I have dealt with many agents in the past, but I must say monsoon properties has to be the most professional, efficient, and really customer comes first approach. The person who dealt with me was Rashid he quickly understood my needs and immediately found me my perfect home. It's been 2 months I must say Rashid always provides 5* service. If it's to do with the toilet, or the kitchen or anything else. I highly recommend monsoon properties esp the services of Rashid.

Monsoon are your classic rip off estate agents that prey on students. They tried every trick in the book to not return our deposit. We only got the deposit back after I threatened legal action. They never responded to any emails when things were wrong in the house.
I am convinced that any positive reviews on here were written by Monsoon themselves! As a previous review says, they are a bunch of school boys and they are playing at running their daddy's business.
They're all smiles before you sign the contract and after that you won't hear from them again unless they want something from you. AVOID!

I rented through monsoon from early 2015 and I found them to be extremely helpful and accommodating towards all my needs. Throughout my tenancy I was 100% at ease as monsoon handled all my queries efficiently and were always reliable. The staff are very friendly and approachable, especially Jahed who was always on hand and showed much determination in resolving any issues and to make me feel welcome.

Every experience I've had with Monsoon Properties so far has been positive. The staff are friendly, professional and experienced and always available - even outside working hours. They always go above and beyond their call of duty and provide excellent customer service. I've let two properties with them and they've found me reliable and clean tenants for both. They were extremely thorough during the screening process and I'm 100% confident that my houses are being well looked after. I will definitely use them again should I add to my portfolio and recommend that anyone with properties in North London do the same.

This is genuinely the worst agency I have ever had to deal with. We rented one of their properties for a year. They never ever ever respond to a single email, they never respond to the phone. If you have any issues with the property they do not care nor send anyone to help. We spent the whole year with a broken radiator no one came to fix despite numerous emails and calls. Mold kept coming back in the flat and similarly they did not care. But worst of all and BEWARE = when your deposit is to be repaid, they do nothing about it until you call and call and call. A week ago I was told I would receive an email from the DPS with the release of the deposit. Today I call them and the employee tells me "oh you should have received it a week ago, check your junk email" after threatening them with legal actions against them we ended the call. I check my email and magically receive an email from the DPS releasing the deposit. If I had done nothing about this we would have never received our deposit back. For your own sake... DO NOT USE THEM

London agents are notoriously unreliable, however the service I received from Monsoon properties has been great. Jahed, our lettings negotiator was extremely helpful organising a time to see the flat- and he conducted a great viewing. After that, the main office admin Shah has been exceptional. So helpful, going above and beyond to make sure builders/cleaners came into the flat before we moved in even though the timings were really tight with the previous tenants.
Shah has remained in contact with us now we've moved in, and I am very confident he will continue to see to our needs. Highly recommended!

I was really suprised by my easy experience with monsoon properties. Property estate agents can be tricky at the best of times. But at monsoon, I found it really strightforward, dealing with one of their advisor's -Shah. Everything was explained really well and they didn't hide things/lie/suprise me with extra charges.
