Our agent Lukas really went above and beyond in helping us to secure our property, suggesting properties to me that I might like to view. He even dropped me off when I injured my ankle during a viewing! During the referencing process Lukas was always on hand to answer questions and concerns via WhatsApp, often answering promptly even later in the evening which I really appreciated! Everything went very smoothly and Lukas was quick to provide the information we needed. We recently sold our house with Foxtons. We were convinced to go with them despite the higher fee because they gave us the hard sell on foot traffic that they see and number of listings that they had at the time. We were selling shortly after buying for personal reasons and so knew we wouldn't recoup all of our money. Hussain Qazalbash had agreed to market it at a certain price (which we knew we wouldn't get). The very first day the house was listed he recommended dropping the asking price by £100K. This came as a great shock. It felt like he had agreed a price that he knew would get us to sign with Foxtons and from that point we were locked in for at least 14/16 weeks given the terms and conditions. Either the knowledge of the market was lacking (which given the Foxtons premium you would expect them to have) or they knew they would recommend such a drastic drop and just wanted us to be locked in so we had no realistic choice of going elsewhere. To their credit the number of vieweings was good and we did receive some offers. This is why they are getting 2 stars rather than none. However I found out that part of the house (attic) which was a big part of the potential of the house was not being shown to potential buyers. After the offer was accepted Hussain never really got in touch again and he was very difficult to get hold off. At one point I had to chase via email and phone messages for a week for an update. Foxtons is good for a quick sale but not if you need to be hand held through the process or want to feel like a valued customer. I do not think their higher fees are worth it and will not be using them again. I would urge others to avoid as well.... Read more

Foxtons Wood Green are very incompetent. They’ll charge you for days that you haven’t spent in a house. I left the property in March and they insisted that my family had to pay an extra month until April which is absolutely ridiculous. We were over charged £348.60 which, they refuse to refund and they tried to charge us over 4K by accident, how a company could make such a huge mistake will never make sense to me. Dealing with foxtons has been a nightmare and staff are extremely rude. I wouldn’t recommend!... Read more
