I have been using Moorhaven Lettings now for more than four years to market my rental property. I don't live locally and it's such a relief to know that I only have to pick up the phone if I have a question or a concern. Veronica has been my main point of contact since the start and I cannot praise her enough. She not only has local knowledge and contacts but she is great at finding me the right tenants for my property. I also know I can call her with any worry I have; big or small , and she's always willing to listen and help me. Nothing but praise for the helpfulness of both Andrea and Veronica at Moorhaven. Approaching them after a fruitless search for a suitable property to rent for my daughter who has special needs, I was bowled over by their can do personal attitude! Infact we were even consulted about various fixtures and fittings during the renovation of the property and met with nothing but kindness and helpfulness. Moorhaven Lettings have been incredible helping us to find a home in difficult circumstances, we were given notice at the last place after years of being good tenants, it was very distressing as i am disabled and my husband is retired - not a good situation to be in if you want to rent! but Veronica was brilliant, she found us somewhere safe very quickly and we could keep our elderly much loved cat too. Should we need to move again we wont hesitate but to use Moorhaven Lettings again, thank you Veronica you're a star!... Read more

We’re just finishing up a tenancy after moving to Devon last year. Veronica was on our side from first contact, she understood us and what we wanted/needed and the property she found for us was absolutely perfect. Moving in was a really smooth process and everything was in place for us- we just had to worry about getting ourselves packed and moved! Veronica’s knowledge of the area really came in handy too and she recommended some great places to us. Absolutely disgusted and disappointed. At first impression, the staff dealt with by phone (Veronica) was very pleasant and helpful. Arranged a viewing for a cottage to let, myself and my family were in very high spirits about this, to the extent I made another phone call the next day to offer, multiple times, a holding deposit, to which I was told no, not to worry because they knew we was travelling a long distance (Essex to Devon) they would not let anyone else view until we had been, which would have not been necessary because I told her, after my parents viewing the cottage for me the previous weekend, I was 99% certain I wanted it. Friday comes, myself, my partner and my 3 year old son have made the five hour drive to my parents house in preparation for our viewing Saturday at the cottage. That night I checked my emails, something I very rarely do, and find an email from quarter past one that afternoon, (as we were already travelling down) Veronica telling me something along the lines of, she has to cancel the viewing so not to travel down. Explaining they have had a visit from a couple in their 60’s, apparently they were about to become homeless so the landlady of the property (Andrea) has agreed to let them move in next week. I was absolutely disgusted and disappointed at this, and dumbfounded as to why this couldn’t have been done over a phone call??? I was so upset and frustrated at this point, I found a mobile number on their website which I rang on the off chance it would still be answered in the evening. It was. By Andrea, the landlady of the property. This was the most disappointing of this whole entire shambles. ANDREA, from the start of the conversation spoke down to me like she was not at fault. She was rude, dismissive and on the very rare occasion she could bring it upon herself to apologise at this massive mess of a situation she gave a BUT straight after. Appalling attitude and service from someone who is supposed to be the managing director of this company, let alone the landlady of the property in question. She slipped herself up during the phone conversation because she obviously had Veronica do the dirty work without even proof reading what she had wrote to us, as the couple she has let move in, are infact ‘her friends of many years’. I told her, my family are also going to be homeless now, she didn’t have a reply for that. So, all in all, very bad experience with this letting agency, maybe not Veronica, who we dealt with at the beginning because she was always pleasant and chirpy and very helpful, and maybe she was just utterly embarrassed of the situation that the ‘MANAGING DIRECTOR’ had put her in, this was why she emailed instead of phoning? SO PLEASE, ANYONE THINKING OF GOING WITH THIS LETTING AGENCY, DO NOT GET YOUR HOPES UP.... Read more
