My father was only in the home for 6 weeks until he passed away but the manager and the staff could not do enough to make his last weeks as comfortable as possible. Having done extensive searches of homes for respite care for my "adopted' Mom whilst I was on holiday, I visited Redbrick Court. It was a very difficult time and I was naturally very apprehensive but immediately liked the atmosphere, cleanliness and the staff were very friendly so decided on Redbrick Court. This was going to be a very traumatic time as Mom didn't enjoy leaving her home for any purpose so to to go anywhere for two weeks was quite difficult for her. However, the staff of Redbrick Court made her so welcome and she settled really well and in fact was so comfortable and settled it was decided that she would stay there as a permanent resident for her own safety. She has been there since September 2019 and is very happy and has made friends and whenever I visit she always praises the staff ! I cannot thank the management and staff enough for all the care they give and especially in the current situation with the coronavirus. They have kept their residents safe and have shown care and empathy for both residents and their relatives and have gone out of their way to entertain the residents such as making birthday celebrations special for the residents by having different themes to make up for not being able to spend the day with their relatives!! I'm sure many other relatives would agree this means such a lot whilst they have been unable to visit their relatives during the crisis. Redbrick Court is a safe haven for my 98-year-old mother. She has been a resident for almost two years, enjoying the companionship and the care provided by the dedicated members of staff. The coronavirus pandemic is proving a testing time for every family with a relative in care. I am indebted to Redbrick Court during this very difficult time. Everything is being done to keep my mother safe and if ever her spirits flag, then I know there is someone on hand to help buoy them again.
