Whilst aware that they seem to have some agreement with new builds for a document - still feels overpriced to have to pay nearly £400 to produce a piece of paper.

Emma Bowey at Mundy's wasted an enormous amount of my time by just not honestly disclosing information. I can only assume in not disclosing it Emma hoped they would get the commission over the line regardless of what costs I as a buyer would be signing up to blind. If that is not it then the issue was a competence one, frankly. When viewing the property Mundy's issued the wrong keys to someone who was oddly adamant their only contribution would be letting us in, which they couldn't even do. When I put in an offer for a leasehold Emma didn't say when she'd be away, holding up the process, then didn't realise a load of her emails were stuck in her outbox, holding it up again. She refused to inform the seller to give their tenants fair notice the flat had an offer on it. She refused after months of negotiation to tell me, the potential seller, who owned the freehold and various other key questions I needed the answer to as a potential buyer, right up to the brink when I either had to buy a property not knowing the costs or pull out. Given she failed to tell me even about the 300 pound fee she must've known the management company would charge for the buyers pack I assumed she was acting, on the evidence I had, on bad faith and pulled out. Lots of time and effort wasted for all by them withholding or simply not sharing key information any responsible buyer needs and by them pursuing that approach for months. I know estate agents get a bad reputation but given this I really can see why. It was all done in bad faith whilst there was a veneer of professionalism.

Mum bought a park home through Mundys. It was a total fiasco, they didn't even get proof from the seller that they owned the property! The park site suggested to us to ask for some as the previous owner had thrown all paperwork out before he died. The sales team don't know what they're doing, and the sales negotiator Claire is clueless. Avoid at all costs.

This was my first time renting a property alone through Mundy's, and I am delighted to say that they were with me every step of the way with absolute confidence.
From the application and all the paperwork to moving in, they were always there with advice and everything in between, as well as guiding me towards contacts I hadn't even considered, like Tennant Shop and people who could help with necessary direct debit setups.
As an individual who was making this step alone, I, naturally, was apprehensive to make such a dramatic change, but Mundy's made it a simple and exciting process.

Truly appalling service from Mundys. Clare and Lorraine hindered the sale at every opportunity.
They lied to the seller and I on multiple occasions, they showed people round the house when it was SSTC, they forgot to pass on important information to solicitors, and they tried to create animosity between myself and the seller as a sales tactic. At one point, they accidentally cc'd the seller into an email chain of the two of them bitching about him. Buying a house is supposed to be exciting, but it was an awful experience because of Mundys.
The seller and I were only able to complete the purchase by getting in direct contact and removing Mundys as a middleman altogether.
Unfortunately the seller was still forced to pay their commission in full, despite them doing nothing. I have never encountered such a lack of professionalism.
I put in a formal complaint and it was dismissed because they said they were just acting in the seller's best interests. Both myself and the seller would disagree with this.

If you are thinking of selling your house I can not recommend Mundys. They significantly over valued my house, but they came across as being very confident and said 'the first party to view would buy', so I naturally signed up to them. However, they did not generate a single enquiry or viewing. At each monthly review all they had to say was we think it might be a little high and suggested reducing it by £10K. So after 5 months of inactivity and a reduction of £45K I have had to terminate our agreement. They have been totally ineffective and wasted my time. Despite telling me all the places they could advertise the property, they only put it on Rightmove and their own site.

Awful service when it came to deposit return. Very minor damage to a carpet was detected on our check out (so minor I had never noticed it in the two years I lived there), I contested this as I knew I wasn’t responsible for it. I insisted on this and that it must have been there upon move in, despite the inventory clerk they hired not picking it up. They would not accept this and said they ‘were in a strong position to go to the DPS for dispute’, I was happy to do this as I wanted it to be investigated properly and refused to give up £100 of my deposit. And what a surprise, when they were gathering their evidence they found that the damage was actually present on the last tenant’s check out, something they absolutely should have checked as soon as I contested it. Luckily I did not back down, but if I had I would have paid them £100 for something that I was not at fault for. They then proceeded to blame me for not checking my inventory thoroughly enough and did not take accountability at all.

Title: Terrible Experience - Unreliable and Unprofessional Agency
Review:
My recent experience with Agency has been nothing short of a nightmare. I had three appointments scheduled with them, two of which were confirmed via WhatsApp, and not once did anyone bother to contact me, despite multiple assurances of a callback through a chain of emails.
Firstly, the lack of professionalism displayed by them is appalling. Their claim that I did not turn up or cancel the appointment is simply false. I was ready and waiting at the designated time, only to be left hanging without any communication whatsoever.
To add insult to injury, this was not the first time such an incident occurred. They conveniently neglected to mention the previous occasions when they failed to honor their commitments. It is evident that reliability and basic courtesy are not qualities they prioritize.
I find it utterly disrespectful that would deny me any further viewings due to their own incompetence. Instead of taking responsibility for their shortcomings, they conveniently shift the blame onto me. Well, let me make it abundantly clear that I have no interest in dealing with such an untrustworthy agency any longer.
Good riddance, Mundys I hope others are spared the frustration and disappointment I have endured. I urge prospective tenants to steer clear of this agency, as their lack of professionalism and disregard for customer service are truly deplorable.
In conclusion, my advice is to save yourself the trouble and seek out a more reputable and reliable agency. There are plenty of better options out there

A brilliant service. Many thanks to Vicki, Lorraine, Ian, Tom (and others). Everyone was always friendly and helpful. One thing I would change is the Mundys policy of limits on visiting the property that is in the process of being purchased. In our case, the property needs an enormous amount of work and it was vital to get quotes before completion. Mundys was very accommodating in allowing us access but certain things needed more than a 60 minute window. Tom did note we could apply for longer through solicitors but I was reluctant to do this as they moved at snail pace as it was. Overall a fantastic experience, thank you.

Mundys lettings have been absolutely appalling. My dad passed away as a result of a fall on the stairs, he was 58. We had to remove the carpet due to the way that he died, it was not salvagable. We kindly phoned mundys to make them aware of this and to offer to find a matching carpet and fit it to right the situation however the representative insisted on sending someone who 'wasn't emotionally involved' to clean it, we explained that it was simply not possible or appropriate but they persisted, in the end she removed the carpet. They then called back and said the landlord wants the stairs and landing carpet replaced at the same time, we fully accept the reasons for this however made it clear that the only carpet that was damaged was in the hall way, we asked how the cost of this would be worked out fairly however they were not able to tell us. The representative then said by the way the rent is paid until August 1st and after that we would be liable for it. My dad died on 20/07/22 and we felt pressurised in to returning the keys so they were returned on 29/07/22. We then asked for the location of the water meter which they said they didn't know and they would sort it out, we explained we wanted to do this ourselves so we could pay the bill, they said they would find out and call us back, they never did. Upon handing the keys back we explained we did not want any further contact from them and that we will communicate through the deposit protection scheme. We have since been contacted multiple times including by 2 members of staff using their personal Facebook profiles to contact us. Every other organisation we have spoken to explain that dad has died first of all said sorry for your loss. Mundys did not show any compassion or understanding until we complained. We lost dad in an unexpected and traumatic way, mundys simply added to the stress.

Incredibly disappointed with the service I received. I called the agency to request a viewing for a house I saw advertised online. I was told that there is a minimum income requirement for the house, which I did not meet so I wanted to discuss guarantor options as I did have a guarantor that was happy to sign the contract with me. I was told I'd receive a call back to discuss this further but I never did. Classist much?

I have nothing but lovely things to say about the Lettings Mundy's branch in Lincoln. Amanda was so welcoming and friendly from booking a viewing to asking questions through the application process. Amanda and Hymie contacted the landlord to ask about potential alternative arrangements on moving into a new property. Without their effort and willingness to do so we would not be moving into a lovely property. Amanda was so very accommodating, replying to emails, returning phonecalls and answering all queries and questions. We are excited to have a supportive lettings agent while renting a property as we have experienced some unprofessional agencies in the past which has caused lots of unnecessary stress.

Very poor buying experience we offered asking price when no other offers had been received to only be told they have more viewings to entice a bidding war and entice their buyers into paying way over what the house is valued at.
If the owners wanted more money they should have advertised as offers over a price so everyone was aware they could be entering into a bidding war.
If a price is listed it should be the first asking price offered should be accepted this country is still in the dark ages and this company is certainly not for the purchasers . Greedy sharks

BEWARE. Mundys Estate Agents in Lincoln are only interested in making money by any means. I had the misfortune to employ them for the sale of my house recently. I took their professional advice regarding the value of my property thinking that they knew what they were talking about when it comes to the sale of properties. No they don`t!
The house was grossly undervalued. The first person who viewed my property bought it with the comment: "I have viewed many houses in the area and cannot believe that the price is so reasonable" For reasonable read: CHEAP!!
I had tried to add another agent to the operation but was informed that Mundys don`t allow that.
One house in the same vacinitiy to mine was advertised at £125,000 more - the house was smaller with less land and on a main road.
Making enquiries, after giving my word to the prospective buyer that the property was his, nine independant estate agents said that Mundys had grossly undervalued my property - but they did sell it quickly!

Many people now rate estate agents by how fast they sell the property etc based upon figures which in a perfect world would useful but this sale would distort them. The property was sold 3 times in the time with Mundys and this should be highlighted. Each sale was agreed within days of being on the market with fantastic service from Mundys and twice was let down by factors outside of Mundys control. Our advice to all who ask us is to use Mundys.

Awful experience as prospective tenant with this company. Enquired if landlords would accept pets at one property and they didn't even bother coming back to me.... Enquired about another and spoke to somebody called Hymie, who was extremely rude, arrogant, ignorant, unprofessional and spoke to me like a piece of dirt on the bottom of his shoe..... I stated I would be paying 6 months rent upfront and he demanded 12 months rent upfront, insisting that the landlords would not consider a standard 6 month rolling tenancy, without even asking the landlord first....It was not stated on property details that it was a 12 month min agreement..... Kept me on the phone for extended periods of time, demanding I answered invasive questions, before even having viewed the property.....Told me the property already had an application/let agreed, then changed his mind and said was still available...…. Would not accommodate any of my viewing times offered and demanded I fit around his diary..... Had to call him again myself to chase up, even though he had already had agreement of pets from landlord, but hadn't bothered to contact me to arrange a viewing.... Only offered me impossible times & days for viewings, despite giving him very flexible viewing times..... No flexibility, respect for my time or any understanding of my situation.....So rude & unprofessional, continually spoke over me in an aggressive, controlling manner.... I wouldn't fancy renting any property under their management.... Disgusted!... Wouldn't trust these clowns as far as I could throw them!.... Deluded and on some kind of a power trip, with a bad attitude towards tenants.... Think they are above the law....AVOID...….

After buying a house with Mundys I thought I would be writing a positive review. The team we purchased our house with were efficient and pleasant to work with. Unfortunately Mundys showed their true colours when we came to move out of the rental we were living in. Unbelievably high charges upon moving out, week's of delays in returning our deposit and even had the nerve to quote one price to us in the inspection and triple it upon the final charges.
We went from recommending Mundys to dreading every interaction with them. They represent everything that is wrong with the rental system today. Renters Beware.

Worst agency ever. When you leave they say you never cleaned it and a tiny mark on the wall requires a whole flat re paint apparantly and they take £800 for this. They never fixed the problems we had at the flat either and also fire and safety regs were definitely not met with regards to fire escapes. And other regulations. Give up now with this lettings agency. Just are not prepared to accommodate me with not living in the Lincoln area and travelling a long distance by public transport. They gave me a 3,45pm appointment and said I could wait in the pub for 45mins as I said I would get there for 2pm! Then when I rang again just now re next week they said the property would most likely go before the end of next week as the tenants could not do Monday or Tuesday and all they had was Wednesday which I could not do. Refused to let me do Thursday. I've had problems with the weekend staff in the past. I tend to agree with the negative reviews of this establishment now. Let's see if it does go as they predict! When people are coming from a distance they should accommodate them better with the tenants surely. I was not aware Mundys were clairvoyants who can predict who the landlord is going to choose and insinuate IT WILL GO IMMEDIATELY. Its laughable.

Total lack of customer service , Poor communication, rude staff, inefficient service. i had 3 issues during tenancy, 1st one was a water pressure issue, despite chasing nothing happened, in the end they just offered me the landlords number to deal direct! great management , 2nd time i rang to say there was a beeping noise that was going off every minute, the guy came ion a routine inspection and his answer was it is one of your sons toys that has been left on!!! 3 whole months later with that bleep going off every minute, it turned out it was a c02 alarm that was under the floorboards in one of the bedrooms, thankfully it was just a battery that was low rather than a problem , then at end of tenancy we both signed end of tenancy sheet, they then added on a charge a week after and i was told by the arrogant assistant manager (he didnt have the luxury of having the inventory during inspection) LUXURY!! surely you would turn up equipped to do the job rather than rush in and out and then add items after both signed.

Awefully horrendus experience with Mundys Lettings. Avoid at all cost. 1. at the first inspection they couldn't even open the door and charged me of changing the lock and suspected I was sub-letting. I had to complain, only then they apologiesed that they tried again and could open the door. What the heck? 2. They recommended Virgin Media for a broadband choice, that the last tenant used them or Virgin's cables installed or something, so I went to Vigin only to find out Virgin Media never installed the cable there and only BT is available for the whole property I rented. 3. After moving out, they told me that I haven't returned a parking lot fob and tried to charge me for it. I had to remind them that at the time of signing the agreement they apologiesed me that no fob was available to me and I was like "don't worry I don't even own a car!" and no updates at all ever since, only when I move out a year later asking for a return? They haven't really apologiesed this, just stopped contacting me. 4. I had to renew the tenancy agreement and we set a date for the renwal. The agent wasn't present on our renewal appointment day. Another agent there told me they haven't prepared the renewed agreement so just to pay first and they'll get back to us later, they did not get back to me for two weeks I had to chase after them when I can sign the renewed agreement. 5. Obviously they didn't even update my renewed contract or so, because they gave me a false alert for moving out - I had to complain I renewed the contract so my moving date was long ahead. 6. They didn't tell me in advance the property was renamed just before I moved in, therefore, I could not find my address anywhere online - Linc council, water provider, electricity provider, post office, just anywehre. I asked them and it took them 2 days I think to get back to me with the previous address. - I think this is partically why for the first two weeks there were no letters delivered at all. When my flatmate wanted to know why there's no letter arriving, the agent was so rude. I was quite shocked at their customer service. These are only some memorable ones I shared but there were so many times I was shocked, that I paid for these people, for this service. I would rather find a private landlord and risk everything and feel so frustrated that they don't care yet I still paid for their "service". If you are a tenant, just avoid Mundys Lettings.

Excellent service very professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Very pleased with the property and very informative on paperwork for getting keys. Fabs was really helpful and nothing was too much bother for her. A very big thank you to all the team.

I won't be doing any buisness with them,they have just taken over frankeys & I have 3 property's that I rent out,they knew who I was & the property's I hold but had lost the tenants credit reference & back ground info & want to charge £160 to renew a contract,keep away & try Colonia estate agents,they couldn't help me enough & didn't want to rip me off like Mundys for the renewal of a contract that they allready hold with the removal of a partners name,looks like I'm not the only 1 judging by the reviews on here

I have had a very positive experience with Living in Lincoln so far. Jenni has been very responsive to emails and every time we talked she was very professional, approachable and friendly. Despite being incredibly busy, Jenni has managed to deal with all my requests and issues in the flat in the shortest time possible and I do hope she will stay as my point of contact while I am renting through Living in Lincoln....

Would of been 0 star if I could of gave nothing - I used them to fully manage my house rental (wasn’t cheap) but we made it clear we would always be moving back into the property as it was our family home and wanted it looking after, what we got couldn’t of been further from that and they were absolutely not interested in anything unless it was in relation to them making £££, what we moved back into was like squatters had been there (they hadn’t) and even then mundys maintained it was ‘minor issues’ wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole knowing what I know now, use at your own peril.

Exceptional from start to finish - sold my house for the required price (and within their upper end estimate) within the predicted timescales. Kept me well informed of progress without the need to chase them. Very good and would certainly use again with no hesitations. Reduced fees for repeat business to.

I bought a property through Vicki Wilkinson at Mundys. Throughout the whole process she kept me well informed and updated and replied quickly to my emails. I found it to be quite a personal, friendly experience and would be happy to use them for a sale. In my opinion, having worked as a surveyor, an energy assessor and a property developer, the can do attitude of the agent is paramount to a successful experience for the client and the purchaser.

Particularly unsatisfactory experience with Mundy's Lettings. I have been chasing multiple times over the last few weeks, after guarantees from members of staff that a request will be 'sorted in the next few of days and we will let you know'. This same message has been given to me for the last 2 weeks. If a request will take longer that a few days, then honesty is the best policy, but I have not experienced this in Mundy's case

seeing the other reviews and although a bit late I had similar experience last year when I went to enquire about renting space for a restaurant. Not the most friendly chat when we gave them details of what we were looking for but anyway they said they would get back to us with a follow up. That was it, never heard again.
I hope it had nothing to do with my Asian wife present with me !!

Worst estate agents I've ever ever had to deal with. There money grabbing, rude and lie through there teeth. I would strongly advise that you avoid these at all cost!! Before you make a big mistake and regret it like many before you!

The agent does not appreciate the tenants and will always ask for rent increment over the time. Beside this, they are not competent agent and always delaying the maintenance issues. Lastly, they probably will overcharged you and the DPS will not protect your right as tenant. There might be better agent outside there than Mundys

Horrendous experience they employ pathological liars. Also it appears we were buying off Jesus because he was dead Saturday and hes alive today. I know its easter weekend but really! They declined offer which is fair enough they said they had spoken to owners ( which was family) now being told owner is in a care home and not dead and awaiting to hear if hes accepted offer. Been told a higher offer has been made yet property been empty above a year and noones viewed neighbours told us this. Also the amount of post confirms noones been in a long time. They just want swindle money out of people and are not acting in a professional manner. Top tip Mundys staff if your going lie at least tell co workers what crap youve said so when they speak someone else they won't get a different story. We had rang to offer more however as I said due to not being sincere and honest we will look elsewhere maybe you can tell the seller this.
