Turned up to go pike fishing, but only 1 x peg available which was the last peg of a close line of three. Carp anglers had all the others, and I would have spoiled their day with splashing deadbait in their close proximity. (I never realised that you can now book the pegs or I would have phoned them). So I left and went elsewhere! Not the Fisheries fault, all down to me. This lake was a good pike location but unsure how it will pan out with the new owners doing such a good job gearing up towards being a top carp fishery!... Read more

Absolutely wonderful stay,fishing was good,wood walks were amazing,Jo and Karl deserve 100% for the experience, 1st time in a hot tub which was so relaxful ,cannot reccomend highly enough ,thank you for the most calming holiday I have had ,see you sometime next year when I know with your plans it will be even more spectacular x... Just stayed at this little gem of a site. Booked for a week but just stayed two nights as the storm was forecast this week. It is obvious the owners Karl and Jo are putting some hard word work into the site. The Fishing pegs on the Speci lake are stunning. And the groundwork on the touring site also being tidied up. Very peaceful and quiet with a surrounding of woodland. The owners are very friendly and very keen about the site. Just to let you know Karl, Jo and Kieren was nothing to do with the site our leaving early just a concern about the storm that was due through. We will be re booking for next year. Just back from a week long stay at Oasis Lakes & Holiday park in North Somercotes, Louth. This is our second time staying here and it certainly didn't disappoint!! Upon arrival we were greeted by the owners Karl and Jo who showed us to our accommodation - a modern static caravan in it's own private grounds, equipped with everything required - just like home from home. It is a private area and the only one of it's kind on site. It includes a hot tub which is lovely and which we used several times, it's own private swim which my husband and I fished several times (this overlooks one of the three beautiful lakes on site) how about that for a view to wake up to! It has a large decking area with comfy seating, a coal BBQ and storage for fishing gear. The caravan together with all the furniture, cooking equipment etc was lovely and clean and the caravan smelt lovely and fresh too! There is a Co op just down the road and a Tesco a short drive away. The site itself has three beautiful lakes, all well stocked with a variety of fish. There is also a large area for camping and touring vans etc. There is a shop onsite for all your fishing needs and an added bonus was the Appleby's ice cream selection. There are showers and toilets for the campers which were immaculate when I used them. You can walk around the site which makes for a lovely walk too. There are a couple of pubs nearby (about a ten minute walk), an Italian restaurant, a Chinese takeaway, a kebab shop and a newsagents to name a few - so plenty of options locally. I would suggest booking this static caravan early as it gets booked up very quickly. We have already booked for next year and cannot wait! Karl and Jo are constantly working hard onsite, with so many improvements and it is a real credit to all their hard work and dedication that this is a successful site. The new swims look fantastic (we look forward to seeing the rest of the improvements on our next visit.) My husband confirmed the fish were well kept and the lakes were very well stocked. Thank you once again Karl and Jo for making our stay so relaxing and we look forward to seeing you again soon.... Read more

Brought my parents down to stay in there static caravan as I was on the touring site and what can I say .First class place .caravan was spotless .fishing was the best my dad's ever done and jo and karl and keiren couldn't do enough for my mum an dad fantastic hosts. First class place first class owners definitely book again 5 stars should be 10 even supplied a wonderful hamper in van as well ????... Read more

Wow what an amazing week stay! Thank you so very much. You’ve got a stunning place and the fishing from the lodge was banging such a mixed bag of fish but those carp sure know how to scrap. You’ve also been brilliant host we wanted for nothing a welcome hamper on arrival and even on the day it never stopped bouncing down we enjoyed your Netflix so even a rainy day wasn’t wasted. 100% we’ll be back again Jazz & Lisa Lee...
