AVOID THIS BUILDER !!!!! I can only describe this home builder as incredibly poor on all fronts, we purchased what we were led to believe was a quality family home and with a price tag just short of £500,000 that is what you should expect. The problems started at day 1 and have never been fully addressed we have water running down the walls in the garage, the bathrooms leak water into the downstairs ceiling space, the roofing is poor quality and we have lost tiles and dry verge (these have been replaced and have now come away again) The worst plastering we have ever seen in a new build property. THIS IS NOT UNUSUAL FOR THIS COMPANY we are on an estate of 19 homes and the majority of our lovely neighbours have suffered issues with this builder. We have now been in the house just over 2 years and after many remedial visits we are still suffering major problems. Our previous home was built by Barratt homes and we cannot believe that Orion is so much worse.... Read more

I placed a deposit with orion homes to buy a house but ended up cancelling as they misled me on a few issues including changing an American style fridge freezer that was supposed to be fitted to something much cheaper without informing me until a much later stage. As a result of them lying to me i cancelled the reservation and they have refused to return my deposit so I will be reporting this company to Trading Standards and filing a claim in the county court to get my deposit back.... Have recently bought my new home from Orion and what can I say other than we have received professional care from day one. From the process of reserving through to now, even after moving in. All the staff are pleasant, helpful and nothing seems too much trouble. We are extremely happy with our house, it's beautiful and all our family are jealous! Cannot recommend highly enough.... If I could I would give 0 stars. When moved in to the property, heating, dishwasher and oven were out of order. It took agency a month! to fix appliances and I had to chase it constantly. They did fix it finally after I said that I will knock it off the rent... Pathetic. Smoke detectors were not working either and we found out by accident. They fixed them (not willingly) as it was some kind of charity, although it's their responsibility to check them for our safety! Then emailed them re furniture. It's been 3 weeks now and still no answer. Just need to chase it all the time. Awful customer service, AVOID if you can.... Read more
