we bought our home in march this year (2021)
although it was delayed by a few weeks this was not an issue as we had a roof over our heads until this was complete. moved in smoothly, john the site manager met us prior to moving in showed us each room and we wrote down any snags, a couple of weeks later we moved in. it took a while chasing for the snags to come repaired but once they came they was done nothing major until a couple of month into moving in we found out we had a gas leak! this should never of been signed off and was very annoyed when persimmon couldn't give us any compensation or a gesture of goodwill as they don't go off if's and buts after explaining how dangerous this could of been had we light a flame near by or affected our healths! once we had this repaired we have had nothing at all. we are very happy with the home bar the movement on the stairs which we were warned about from the start.
over all I would rate persimmon however the customer service/site office aren't as fast at responding as you'd like so found myself going to site to find answers.... Read more

If you find yourself interested in any of these houses on rightmove, don't bother!
Persimmon homes don't respond to emails or calls. You would think that they don't want to sell the houses they are building.... Read more

No wonder they are the only new build estate with homes available! Rude, not interested sales advisor who refused to give me any information. All I wanted was an appointment and to know if they had a three bed showhome to view and she couldn't even help me with that!... Read more

Bought a "Moseley" house type a few months, really funky house and great price. Suprisingly spacious and far better value than any other 3 bed in area. Can't believe how energy efficient it is too.
Estate still untidy and mucky but understandabkle because of the building going on. Some expected snags at the start but all sorted now, i would ask for as many extras as you can get. I am also surprised that some 4 bed houses only have 2 car spaces like mine, you would think they would get more? does create some parked cars on roads in parts.
Overall, would definitely recommend !!!... Read more

I would give Persimmon a negative star rating if I was able to.If you want a house with massive stress, huge snag lists, and a customer services team that don't care this is the builder for you! If you push them really hard they will send a rep round in a suit with a clip board who will do his best not to help, but to defend Persimmon costs and share price * * * DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED * * * (YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED)... We moved into our Persimmon home 2 weeks ago. It only ran 1 month over the expected build time which was pretty good. Have been messed around by the sales advisors but we are happy with our home. Yes, there are snags like there are with all new house, but nothing that can't be fixed. We had 15 snags in total. 1 has been sorted out and we have a date for the others to be rectified. The down side to Persimmon is the total lack of communication between buyer and site throughout the whole process. We received a phone call on a Thursday afternoon informing us our house was ready and we had to complete the next day. Giving 1 day notice isn't acceptable and I made that clear to them. We really do love our home, the standard of the home is quite good; the plaster work is very good, the bathrooms are tiled nicely, most of the kitchen is to a good standard. I would recommend buying a Persimmon house, but I would express that you need to be strong-willed and persistent or snags will not get fixed/you will not be informed anything throughout the whole build process.... Do not buy unless your ready for broken promises lies and to pay for things you don’t get! I was on of the first in my home on this site yet I still have no garden! My brickwork is down right disgusting! I was lied to about expansion joins put in wrong place causing my home to now have a structural defect! My plasterwork is a disgrace! Broken kitchen cubhoards! Wonky window sills whistling windows which their company thought sticking tissue paper inside would fix it. No offer of compensation throughout the whole process of lies and damages. Got upgraded fencing apparently yet none belongs to
Me! Holes in brickwork damp inside when moved in! The list is endless been told the brickies who built my house were sacked because of how bad they were yet no one has fixed my house. Grass dead at the front due to them putting rubble on it! Leaking toilets. Gobbo all over my brickwork! The list goes on yet all of this was raised prior to moving in! I’ve worked myself silly to give my kids a house they deserve and I have not recieved what I paid for! Come on down to number 14 if you wana see what a disgrace this company is!... Read more

I have had the keys for my house since December 2018. I chose no optional extras wanting to complete the finishing touches myself.
Yes i have had snags, 26 to be exact, but this is expected with a new build.
I consider myself to be quite a perfectionist so the snag list was quite strict, nothing major for your information.
Every snag in this property has been solved within 3 months of living with no hassle and great customer service from the assitant site manager Edgar.
I understand some properties have had problems but from my experience the work has been done to a good standard and the imperfections have been solved.
Hope this helps.

1 star purely because I’m unable to give zero stars. Do not buy a Persimmon home under any circumstances. Can’t even begin to describe what a disgraceful company they are. The quality of work is beyond unacceptable. Avoid this company at all costs!!!!!!
‘Workmen’ are unprofessional, unreliable, their standard of work throughout is a joke.
High turnover of staff. Everyone lies to your face. It’s almoat impossible to get hold of anyone. Even the people’s highest up in the company don’t care about anything.
Compulsory checks aren’t done. Paperwork isn’t provided. Policies and procedures are ignored. Don’t get me started on health and safety and GDPR.
Do not buy a Persimmon home.... Read more

DO NOT buy a home on here. A genuine review from PLOT 5. Knock on my door to speak to me if you wish. I have videos, legal advice, pictures and a full folder to show you all, ignore the sales team and ignore the show home, come look at mine!!!!
If only I could give Zero stars. Incompetent staff accompanied by poor workmanship, over 200 snags and they do not, will not and can not fix any one of them. All ranging from toilets falling off walls, baths leaking, a full re structure and re building of downstairs flooring.. an absolute shambles from start to finish. Learn from all of these reviews and DO NOT give them anything and if you have, walk away whilst you can.
I will not stop warning EVERYBODY I see of the disgrace they are until they knock on my door and start to treat my home with the respect they promised when I purchased. Knock on any door on "Parklands Avenue" and they will all tell you the same thing.
Regards,
