Cannot rate the Cleethorpes branch of Crofts highly enough. From the initial valuation appointment until the final day of our sale the sales team excelled. We had a prolonged and at times difficult sale, but the staff remained positive, professional and positive throughout. Special mention to Vicki who we felt went over and beyond what we expected. A big thank you and highly recommend to anyone considering selling their property.
I would not recommend this agent to any tenants... I was in a flat in Grimsby under Crofts... property handed over to me with unclean state... I myself cleaned washing machine and cooker bathroom etc... I kept flat clean and tidy and handed over in good condition.. thr man called David in Crofts deducted good amount of money from my deposit just showing pics of minor wear and tears most of which already exist when I moved in... very dissapointed about their act which was very unfair and disgusting... never recommend to anyone....
I have recently sold my property with Lovelle Bacons Estate Agency. Now to give this some context the whole process took less than 24hrs! Truly amazing. Very bad communication from them, not happy with the treatment I received. They charged unfairly more when giving me back my deposit and they gave 0 flexibility in all my decisitions.

I recently sold my house through Jackson, Green and Preston and found the entire process faultless. The brochure was of a high standard and I was kept informed on all aspects of the sale, including feedback on viewings. Staff at JGP are helpful, extremely professional and very approachable.
I also rent out some properties through this company, via its Property Management department, and have found this service invaluable. They track all legal requirements for the properties, such as Gas checks, CO2/Smoke alarms, etc. and liaise between the tenants and myself on aspects of maintenance. I feel my properties are well managed and and excellent service is provided for both landlords and tenants.
All in all, I found that Jackson, Green and Preston provide an excellent, modern and professional service and would highly recommend them to anyone.
I really dislike leaving reviews of a negative nature but having been through the mill with Jackson Green and Preston, I would seriously think twice about using this outfit for any estate agency/lettings business.
The JGP lettings business is run by a lady called Suzanne Bellamey and her sidekick Jordan Nicholas. Both of these individuals and their subordinates are very good at writing e-mails in a fashion that makes you think the world is about to end unless JGP send one of their overpriced tradesman around to fix something that really didn't need fixing (even when you tell them not to). Mr Nicholas possesses a degree in "Real Estate" but lacks no common sense or technical knowledge whatsoever. Mr Nicholas didn't even known the difference between a wooden door and a UPVC Door, he tried to justify £40 for an insurance unapproved £6 ebay door lock. He also screwed up my energy performance certificate and could not tell the difference between a solid floor and a suspended floor.
I am unsure if their staff deliberately tell lies or if they are that stupid/poorly trained/lacking knowledge that they inadvertently say things that are untrue. In any case, as a customer, it is unacceptable.
JGP take pride in sending you letters saying they are going to get your electrical devices PAT tested because of some regulation that does not exist and is barely enforceable. The overpriced rate is an eye watering, £25 for each appliance when the going market rate is nearer £10. I assume they have some agreement with a local electrical contractor. Additionally they assume you "Opt in", ie they will send someone around unless you sign a disclaimer that is not worth the paper it is written on.
To compound matters, once I had decided I had enough grief from JGP. I went to pick up the keys to my property after the tenant had vacated. The girl behind the desk (called Harriet) was extremely impolite and I got the distinct impression that she thought people of non Anglo-Saxon extraction were worthy of being treated in a substandard manner.
I pointed out that the keys she had supplied to me did not look like the correct ones for the property. In any case she handed them over and none of the keys work in any of the locks. So I am sitting here with the keys to someone else's house!!
In conclusion, I would avoid Jackson Green and Preston like the plague. I am really unsure how they are still in business given their appalling customer service (my work colleagues have had similar experiences). If you must use them, their management fee is 12.5%+VAT. if you haggle or wait for them to screw up, they will do it for 7%. The threat of some negative publicity is also something they try to avoid.
As for selling a property. They quote 1.2% over the phone and justify it with excellent customer service - in my experience, if you want lies, crap service, extortionate prices and a cover up, JGP is the place to go..
