My experience with Preston Baker was incredibly disappointing.
One of the most frustrating aspects was the lack of communication. There was a complete absence of feedback from the house visits. As a homeowner, I was eager to understand what potential buyers thought about my property, but Preston Baker provided no constructive insights, leaving me in the dark.
Moreover, I was disheartened by their lack of a proactive approach to selling the house. It seemed as though my property was simply left to languish without any strategic efforts to attract potential buyers. There was no visible plan or initiative from their end.
After I took the house off the market (even after multiple calls asking to take it down), they failed to remove the "For Sale" sign from my property. This lack of responsiveness was unprofessional and showed a lack of attention to detail.
Overall, the experience with Preston Baker left much to be desired. The lack of communication, failure to remove the sign, no feedback from visits, and absence of a proactive selling plan were significant letdowns. As a result, I cannot give them more than 1 out of 5 stars. I sincerely hope they address these issues and improve their services for future clients.

Really unhappy with my experience. I’m a property investor with a recently refurbished house looking to rent or sell. Preston baker only have a sales department so I called asking for someone to provide a sales valuation. Because I mentioned at the start of the call I was considering renting the property they refused to come out to view it because they didn’t want to - “waste time”. I then asked if there’s a way around this because I am genuinely in 2 minds, Jack then consulted Jess (the manager) and she offered £99 plus VAT valuation fee to come out and value it!
Really unprofessional, avoid! I’ll be taking my future business elsewhere.

Avoid at all costs. Unless you are not precious about paying over the odds for substandard service.
Little to no knowledge on how to deal with issues in the chain when they arise, leaving it to the owners to have to sort out amongst themselves in order to actually get anywhere.
Very quick to slate other agencies in the area and why not to sell with them but don't deliver on the promises made themselves.
I have sold my property - thanks to my own determination and contacts - but they still happily took a huge fee and wouldn't negotiate on completion; I know house buying and selling is stressful but these guys do not make it easier.
Would definitely go to Manning Stainton or Fowler & Powell in the future.

My house sale has finally gone through! Thank you for such a great service. The images and video created helped to capture my home perfectly... it never looked to good! There were quite a few ups and downs as always when selling/buying a house but Elle was the consistent point of contact from day 1 all the way through the sale process to completion. She kept in touch with friendly, helpful and clear communication often helping to chase things through with solicitors which I appreciated. Whilst the fees are higher than others I feel the service I received was worth it and I got very close to the asking price which was great.

The worst estate agent I have had dealings with. I had an offer for a property accepted which they had advertised on their website and Rightmove. The day after, I had a mortgage in principle in place and had instructed a solicitor to begin carrying out searches on the property.
A week later after making numerous phone calls and leaving messages with them for an update, I received a call from the Senior Client Service Manager, who had told me the vendor had accepted another offer (15k more than mine and over the asking price) which was put in just two days after they had accepted my offer.
So, if that was the case then they should have at least had the bloody courtesy to advise me of this and that I could have called off the solicitor searches and saved myself £200.
I lost over £200 on searches which the solicitors had already done work on and is non refundable. I had even received an email with a memorandum of sale attached from Preston Baker just four days after my offer had been accepted, which gave me the impression that things were moving and would have been only 4 weeks from completion.
I know gazumping happens a lot in this game and can get over that. However, I cannot get over the lack of courtesy and basic common sense from Preston Baker just to give me the heads up that they had received another offer and was likely to be accepted by the vendor. This company has a 5 star rating but my experience in dealing with has been a terrible one and I am sure I won’t be the last.

What an incredible service! at first we were unsure of using Preston Baker as their fees were significantly higher than the other agents in the area. We needed to sell quickly so we gave them a chance. From the beginning they were professional, honest and realistic. The photos and video they took were excellent quality. After their open day, we had 8 offers on our house and over 20 viewings. We sold for well above the asking price, and I would say to anyone in Roundhay/Oakwood don't even think of using another estate agent!

Forgive me if I haven't reviewed you guys before. Perhaps I did on your FB site. It's been almost 18 months since PB Oakwood helped sell our house and we are so grateful to the service they gave us and of course the price achieved. This process has been a joy thanks to Preston Baker. After seeing a great property in mid June we put in our offer, after a little negotiating our offer was excepted.
Raz, who showed us around the property was honest and open, Claire Thornton was a joy to talk to and Sean Sutton who met us for the second viewing was completely professional and helpful, taking notes of all our questions. The worst thing in this process is the 'not knowing' and Preston Baker have included us every step of the way!
All in all this experience has been incredible smooth, informative, friendly and has definitely cut out the 'BS' from the buying process.

I have been on the market with 2 other agents before Preston Baker and they both yielded in zero viewings and hardly any communication for weeks. However, as soon as I put the house on the market with Preston Baker I had a couple of viewings every week, I even had a viewing on new Years Day. I would recommend Preston Baker to anyone that wants to sell or buy a property, the staff are very helpful and friendly and best of all they keep you informed regularly.
