I couldn't fault Knight Frank on how they dealt with selling our property. They gave us regular updates on how viewings were going and were always available to talk to. They negotiated well and dealt with all the paper work and emails promptly. Tom Woods did a brilliant job!
Would give minus stars if I could. Do not trust the information they give.
We have just recently moved into a rental property and we found the whole process from viewing the property, reference checking, tenancy agreements prepared a very stress free process. This was due to Demi who has a very pleasant personality and handled everything in a very professional manner. She is a great asset to Connells Letting Department.
Very very bad from a landlord's point of view. This branch of Connells ripped me off twice. As an estate agent, instructed by the seller or landlord, you would think they would work for the landlord and provide an excellent service. Well no. The people working in this branch are unprofessional and feel they can rip off landlords. The tenant they put in damaged one of my bathroom taps, when I tried to take the cost of the tap, not the plumber but just the tap, out of the tenants deposit, Connells sided with the tenant who twice they had to chase for rent in a 3 month contract!!!
Connells employs young kids with a serious socialist, anti-capitalist attitude. Just what you wan't from people who offer a service to capitalist minded people.
If you are a landlord and they have ripped you off, contact their head office and push the issue. Twice I was refunded for a dodgy inventory, rip off hidden fees and a mis-sold rent insurance policy. Yes my first tenant paid 6 minths rent up frint and Connells still charged me for the rent guarantee insurance LOL.
If you are a landlord thinking of using them, AVOID. It is people like this who make renting out a property a nightmare and give honest estate agents a bad name. Forget nightmare tenants, a nightmare estate agent is your biggest worry when you have Connella managing your property.
I now use Stanfords and have never been so happy to let the true professionals deal with letting out my house.
Professional, speedy and made everything stress free. Megan jones was particularly helpful. Highly recommend.
I have made purchase of my first house with Charters CF some time ago now but now cleaning my mailbox I recalled I was going to place comment here. So on average they are ok but obviously being paid from sell price they try to keep price up. They are not to pushy re use of their Finance Advisor but are pushy to make an appointment with him. Its a matter of him to evaluate if you can afford estate and then he gives an agents green light to process. I had a feeling not ok if person related to agency know what my affordability is. As this information allow agency to keep price high.
Second objection is finalization of purchase. House supposed to be released on Wed but actually we've been told previous owner has a delay and agent have no keys yet. So next day when eventually afternoon house was ready when I arrived to collect a keys they didnt even know where they are or how they look like :) As I have some marketing/sales background I know it’s one of the most disrespectful ways to treat customer.
For a person buying first house for a large amount of money getting keys is something unique. And when he/she gets to agency when nobody knows where keys are, not a word of sorry, not even a thank you card… it’s just not right. I got a few keys that I had to guess which door they open :) Selling cars for years I know that for collection car needs to be shiny, polished, perfumed, sales person is waiting with a keys and small thank you gift. Then customer for sure will be satisfied and more likely comes back. Don’t count on such treatment with Charters tough :)
Other than that all went smooth and successful.
