STAY CLEAR FROM HERE THEY WILL TELL YOU LIES they promised us that with a guarantor our bad credit wouldn't matter just so they could keep our holding fee absolute horrible company don't fall for there tricks , my wife became very sick after dealing with these crooks, every bit of information that we knew about which was most was revealed to them and after they convincing us with a guarantor this couldn't happen they still kept it , legal action is the only way you will get your money bk We have been through the complaint procedure with no success this is exactly what you want people to do when there homeless or nearly homeless you do this and hope people will roll over lie and more lies... All our credit was declared an I was very clear with the agent how concerned I was about loosing a holding fee an we was garenteed that a gaurentour would cover us if we were declined . We were honest about our credit after checking our self's before proceeding . Had to keep calling to find out the status of this we have taken proceedings an will be taking matters further. Very bad service an very rude. Taking advantage of vunrable people leaving us in a much worser position after reassuring us we would definitely be able to let with gaurentour.... Read more

We would have no hesitation in recommending Ridgewater for the sale of your property (in fact we already have been). The growing Ridgewater sales team headed up by Daniel and well supported by Jan in the office were first class throughout. Daniel was confident in selling our property at the price we agreed and it wasn’t long before we had lots of interest in our house and only two weeks later we accepted an offer from a cash buyer with no chain... We were very impressed with the service and attention we received from Ridgewater, with nothing being too much trouble. We had excellent marketing with superb photos and a brilliant video tour (one of the better ones you’ll see when you compare it to what’s out there) and from our experience (having marketed previously with another agent without a video) it certainly is the video that gets people through the door. Once we had sold we had regular communication from Daniel and Jan about the sale progress and they both worked tirelessly to get the sale over the line. Despite the current challenges during the pandemic we felt well looked after and upon picking up the keys on completion day Daniel handing us a lovely bottle of the fizzy stuff to welcome us to our new house was a nice touch. We have sold our house, in order to legally view houses in person currently, your house must be sold. We have travelled 300 miles in one day to make this viewing as we had email confirmation, we have arrived at the confirmed address, no sign of agent, we phoned them to be told the viewing is cancelled. Absolutely appalling service. I’m absolutely mortified at the unprofessional behaviour, the company was told we were travelling to make this viewing and told us, they left a voicemail to cancel but couldn’t say when. Anyway. After spotting a property we liked online, the day it was posted (Friday), I tried to book a viewing and was greeted by constant rejection. My partner works 7am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, I was told they don't open on weekends and the last appointment was 3pm in the week, which is ridiculous. Anyway, I managed to book one for 4:30pm the following Tuesday somehow? Even though we offered Monday afternoon as well. Tuesday comes, I receive a phone call at 2:30pm to say my viewing will have to be moved to a later time, weird as they've already booked me in an hour and a half past the last appointment? So my partner doesn't need to come home early after all. Then 20 minutes later, another call saying they're cancelling my appointment because the 'man simply won't get there', which was followed by 'Someone has actually already put an offer in on the house anyway'. My mother in law tried to book another viewing and was told that the offer had been accepted. So actually I was being messed around the whole time waiting to see if this offer goes through. Also all of this happened when they're 'closed at the weekend' and didn't have any earlier viewing slots than mine? From start to finish I have been nothing but confused and stressed by this company, I will most definitely be avoiding them in the future. Clearly completely unreliable, I hate to think what buying or selling would be like when I had this trouble just trying to view a property.... Read more

I have had a full management service from Ridgewaters for my 3 blocks of flats in Torbay since they took over Accommolet in Paignton. I find all the staff incredibly easy to deal with. They are efficient and knowledgeable of the rental business which is what I need. I am able to choose my own contractors or, in my absence, they select suitable workmen on a 24/7 basis. Once a problem arises, all the staff work diligently, together, to resolve that problem without continual reference to me. This includes the onerous job of contacting authorities and national suppliers, particularly electricity suppliers! I am always impressed with the way staff handle viewings and detail of tenant changes. Ridgewater Management is first rate and inclusive of their staff. Rental income is always paid on time and collection of outstanding arrears is noticeably improving. I am always happy to speak further on their behalf.... Read more

Back in March of this year, my wife and I, were looking to move down to Devon from Bexhill in East Sussex, and our optimum place became Torquay. We obviously spent a lot of time looking on line to see what was on offer and where. We came down I think three times, stayed locally and viewed six or seven houses whilst we were looking. Back home, we came across a house which Ridgewaters were marketing, and it appeared from brief particulars about the house, it seemed possibly what we were looking for. On approaching their sales director, he gave us an honest appraisal and suggested that time was the essence, and we should come down again to view it. The house appeared to tick all the boxes my wife was interested in, so we came down again to view it. The gentleman met us at the house and showed us around. We spoke about its merits and appeal, and Daniel was very forthright in reply about the property. We went away to have a real think about things, and made our minds up that we needed to see it again. Daniel was there to greet us, and showed us around looking at warts and all, and we spoke at long lengths with him, with a view to putting in an offer. Realizing at the time, it wasn't what I wanted, he didn't become annoyed or loose interest in us, showed us another property, which to me, suited us down to the ground. Over the next couple of weeks, Daniel was on the phone constantly, advising us of how things were going on both houses, and showed real commitment and personal interest in getting us the best deal. In the end we chose the original house, put in an offer for it, and once it had been accepted, Daniel again, never let up his commitment to us, realizing that we were 250 miles from Torquay, and couldn't just come down again on a wiz. So from start to finish, Daniel has been at the forefront of everything, and has gone out of his way, to ensure the smooth transition of moving here was completed. I am aware that even now, ten week's to the day, that we moved in, Daniel has been in touch, simply finding out how things were going. Ok, it wasn't his fault, that the house wasn't quite what we expected, nevertheless, if it wasn't for Daniel, no other agent in town, showed us as much interest and professionalism that he did and does. I can only reiterate what other people have said about Ridgewater. A good company to deal with, irrespective of either buying or renting a house or flat, and not only Daniel but his staff as well, ensure that old fashioned service is still very much alive in 2019. If I had to move again in the area, Ridgewaters would be my first and only choice to do business with.... Read more
