I would like to express my deep disappointment with the service provided by Agency. Unfortunately, our experience with this agency has been extremely frustrating and unacceptable.
Firstly, before renting the apartment, we specifically asked if there was any mold, and we were assured that there wasn’t. However, to our surprise, despite heating the apartment daily, the condensation on the windows never disappeared—which also raises serious concerns about the quality of the windows themselves. It was only after purchasing a dehumidifier that we realized the real issue: the indoor humidity level was an alarming 89%, and the walls were so damp that the plaster was literally deteriorating. Renting out a property in such a state is completely unacceptable.
Secondly, the agency was aware of the shower issue from the beginning, yet they failed to fix it before renting out the apartment. Now, after several months, it still hasn’t been repaired. What’s even worse is the complete lack of communication—we have to constantly call them for updates, yet nothing gets done.
We expected a much higher standard of service and basic maintenance. I strongly advise others to stay away from this agency unless they are prepared to deal with unprofessionalism, poor communication, and a complete lack of responsibility.

Riverdale are very good to deal with, polite, efficient and reasonably priced. I can leave my property with them, even though I dont live locally, safe in the knowledge that it will be let to decent, properly vetted, tenants and that their maintenance support will cover any issues at an acceptable price.

Moving to a new country can be incredibly daunting, especially when it comes to finding a place to live. However, my experience with Riverdale was an absolute pleasure! As a newcomer to the UK with no prior references, I was worried about securing a decent flat. Thankfully, Riverdale completely alleviated those concerns.
From the very first interaction, the staff at Riverdale were incredibly helpful and polite. They were incredibly understanding of the lack of previous references, offering alternative solutions that put me at ease.
The entire process was smooth and efficient. Riverdale not only helped me find a fantastic flat, but also provided valuable guidance on the rental process in the UK. I felt genuinely supported throughout the entire experience.

Myself, my husband and our young son were wanting to relocate to ipswich from London. I spoke to Sarah who was the only member of staff that wasn't unpleasant to deal with, after conducting a viewing for a apartment we wanted to put down a higher offer to the landlord along with 6 months upfront. The communication was then dead. I sent 2 emails which were ignored, thinking this was odd I called and spoke to a very rude woman who told me it would be to far to commute to his work in London ( OK? So you now make this decision do you?) when we drive, and the train is 1.30 into London and he often works outside of London anyway. We were never contacted back, jus

Very disappointing with company. We were renting TRINITY CLOSE Woodbridge, and the landlord asked us to move out because we kept complaining about the porch roof needing a new roof, and there is mould in the bedrooms, there is also loads of wood lice about which come from the roof and other places. we were for 11 months so anyone how goes and look be aware, knock on the neighbours doors and they we tell, what the landlord is like, as for riverdale should not rent this until the place is sorted out with the repair that it needs. We got told they were selling the place, but to our dismay, they have put out for rent.

They are able to call on a vast array of local expertise should my property need any issues resolved and the labour charges are very reasonable. Unfortunately, I had a very mixed experience when dealing with Riverdale Estates. When buying a property Sarah was absolutely incredible as my point of contact. She was just so lovely and helpful, and I even sent her flowers to thank her for her service. Because of this fantastic experience, I agreed Riverdale Estates could arrange for the AST for the property (it was a rental investment I was buying) to be assigned to me upon completion. This is when Kate Fell took over and the service became pretty dire. We did eventually get the AST arranged but the process took longer than it needed to and the reasons for delays weren’t communicated until after the fact (for reference I completed on the property on the 8th of September, and it took until the 5th of October for fully signed copies to be distributed to all parties). I had to constantly chase Kate for updates and it was only in response to my chasing that she would communicate with me. She came across as having a rather unpleasant attitude which was such a contrast to how my experience had been with Sarah. Even when I asked if she could mention to my new tenants the next time she saw them that I’d sent some flowers to them, wanting to ensure they got delivered on time, she refused.. it was honestly bizarre that she had such an unhelpful attitude and all for no apparent reason. Personally, I’d now try to avoid Riverdale Estates in the future, which is a shame because they do have some great employees within the team.

Riverdale have been my letting agent for the last 4.5 years and they have been great at every step. Even last year during lockdown where various things decided to all go wrong at once they were on it very swiftly and got the issues resolved in great time. Awful estate agent. Called for a property viewing was told I couldn't have a viewing as they already had "5" viewings and to call back a week later. Called back a week later, was told there were no viewings until the new year so that ruled me out due to current tenancy expiring. Then call me back 5 minutes later to book a viewing, only to be then told no pets. WHERE DOES IT SAY THAT ON YOUR LISTING. Wasted my time and came across completely unprofessional. AVOID

I've rented with Riverdale for the last 5 years and have had no cause for complaint. Any maintenance issues have been dealt with swiftly and I have been left to live in peace (which as a tenant is all one can really hope for!) Slightly unimpressed with some of the additional fees tacked on that are associated with paperwork, tenancy renewals etc but this would be much the same with any other estate agents. Will reserve final judgement until after I move out and have gone through the process of receiving my deposit back, as other reviews do not fill me with much confidence where this is concerned.
Update - checkout process was quick, easy and most importantly fair. Would recommend Riverdale based on my now complete experience renting with them

Where do I begin, checking out was a nightmare they added the cost for cleaning after the flat was thoroughly cleaned. Added the cost of cleaning the carpet when it was in a cleaner state when I received it. Added the cost of cleaning the kitchen and fridge which was cleaned from top to bottom. They added cost for emptying the fridge which consisted of unopened bottles of water and a bag of peas in the freezer. All of this was taken from my deposit which was over a £1000!!! The total deductions was over £400. Also of you renew your contract with them there is a charge of £30 each time and a checkout fee of £60. Please be very careful if you rent with these people

Without doubt the most useless estate agent I have come across - and I have met plenty. No idea about the state of the property. Became defensive to the point of being rude when challenged and was a complete waste of space. Had any of the staff spent any time at all getting to know the property instead of providing false and frankly misleading information would not have had to waste a complete day and could have spent my time more constructively with someone who acted with integrity and professionalism from another agency, something this person clearly lacked. Learn from my mistake and go elsewhere if you can.

The staff at Riverdale Estates in Ipswich are brilliant! When we first bought our apartment in 2008 they rented it for us within 4 hours of putting it on the market. Since then it has been constantly occupied until we decided to sell and again, they found us a buyer within 2 days of putting it on the market. They always keep us informed and are very proactive. You really couldn't find a better estate agent to look after you.

Riverdale have acted as our letting agent for several years on our flat in Ipswich.
Found them very professional and prompt in all aspects but this 5 stars is for their finding a buyer and supporting the recent sale of this property in particular.
Their representatives were extremely proactive and helpful with very good communication. Especially a lady called Aimee with Riverdale who helped drive the sale to completion on what was a drawn out process in this instance due to issues on the buyers side.
The company went above and beyond what we would normally expect as experienced property owners and to be thoroughly recommended.
