The staff members at Shaw's go above and beyond to meet their clients needs and offer a service second to none.
It is a stressful time moving house and the staff members are so caring and genuine and work hard to make the process as smooth as possible. Every time I rang the office I was met with warmth and every issue I had was dealt with efficiently.

Ernest is polite, professional and really knows his stuff. His team, Josh, Trisha and Wendy, are all brilliant, keeping you updated every step of the way. They will do all necessary chasing with solicitors and are always available on the end of the phone if you need them, even on a Saturday. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Shaw's to other people, in fact, I already have. I am using them to sell my existing property, for which they secured a buyer for me in no time at all. Your property will be broadly advertised on many websites and Ernest and his team will ensure that you get the best possible price for your property. They will carefully check out the buyer's ability to proceed and also any chain below so you are not stuck with a time waster! I used this company to sell my late fathers home. I initially went with a well known national estate agent in the belief they would be better, I was so wrong, they were pathetic in every way as such their services were terminated. I then approached Shaws, they were local and extremely good value for money. Immediately I was impressed by Ernest Shaw and his dedication to his trade. What followed then was incredible attention to detail, regular updates and a string of people wanting to buy the property all during COVID pandemic.

From when we placed the offer on one of Shaw's & Company's property's to when we were actually in the house was about 9 months, because of Covid delays and problems with the new house the seller was planning on moving into, it was drawn out to no end. Throughout all of this however, Trisha, Wendy and everyone at Shaw's were fantastic! Constantly keep us updated and contacted us for updates when we had them. A marvelous group and myself and my partner appreciate all the help and advice they gave us through what was not an easy time, I would recommend them whole heartedly.

They helped market our property which sold within 9 days. This included pictures taken in a timely manner, advert inserted onto right move and their own site.
We had a total of 20+ views, all of which were chased up and asked for feedback. Feedback provided with 24 hours to us.
We were kept up to date almost every week and they provided a majority of the leg work. Chasing buyers and solicitors.
A great, enthusiastic, complimentary company that is fully recommended. So much that we've put two family members/friends in contact with them to sell.

DO NOT TRUST THIS AGENT! I made an offer on a property through this agent after working with Joshua. My offer was accepted and I was advised that no other offers or viewings would be taken on this property. I received a call the next day to ask me to forward on all necessary information. After making several payments to different companies and making good progress into the transaction, the agent called me to say they'd taken another offer on the property! I spoke to the manager, Ernest, who said that there was nothing anyone could do. He couldn't offer any explanation as to why they'd taken another offer on the property when my offer had been accepted and we'd begun the purchasing process. I explained I'd lose money and nobody seemed to care at all. The greedy staff at Shaw's demonstrated a total disregard towards myself as a buyer, went behind my back and as a result I lost money. I cannot recommend this agent at all.

Really wish we had just gone to Shaws in the first place! We chose another Kidsgrove agent in October 2018. They were pretty awful after the branch manager was replaced, no updates, horrible photographs of the property, lots of promises which were not kept and generally badly managed. We decided to switch to Shaws and within a week we had a buyer, regular constant updates and complete professionalism throughout the entire process. Nothing has been too much for Ernest and his diligent team, who really have worked their socks off to get the place sold. Highly recommended and we shall never use another agent in this area. Thanks

Had a brilliant service from the staff at Shaw’s. I had quite an anxious time towards the end of my completion as it took over 3 months with no chain either side. As frustrating as it was, I had a feedback call at least once a week from Trish who kept me up to date with everything that was going on, she was excellent, and probably the only one who was keeping me in the loop out of all parties- solicitor’s etc.

From a buyers perspective, on dealings with the company, the staff are excellent. Very polite and helpful to prospective purchasers. They are professional and will give you the time you need on your enquiries. This isn't the case for all agents in the area, so this encourages buyers to look for a home with Shaw's. For the staff/branch I'd give 5/5. I'm knocking off a star as 2 houses I looked at were both almost 15% over valued (when we had them independently valued). Unsure if this is the sellers insisting on inflating the prices testing the market, so not judging the agent.

I thought that this company was an absolute delight to deal with initially, very professional courteous manner,etc.
I proceeded to make an offer on a property referred to in the industry as a corporate sale (a reposessed property) there were a number of offers on the table, and so I offered the asking price.
Consequently there was a bidding war as expected between two parties one being myself. Initially I had been asked to provide proof of funds as I was a cash buyer, which I consequently provided, which resulted in me making not one offer but two. These offers were then accepted by A) The agent and B) The company acting on behalf of the mortgagees in posession of the property.
The company acting for the mortgagees in posession then decided to go with the other party and the agent advised that there would be a public notice on Rightmove and requested that I need to provide clear details of funds if I was to consequently make another offer. Why would I be asked to provide clear details of funds when I have already provided them initially which resulted in a bidding war? ie if they are not acceptable now or questionable ie certain details missing, why on earth were they accepted initially, was this just to inflate the price? Neither the agent or company acting for mortgagees in posession should have accepted them initially if they were not 100% accurate. Should estate agents be dealing with corporate sales or should this industry be regulated, like so many other industries, so that there is clarity and fairness, I know that agents can become members of the Ombudsman for property services, but for my experiences I question many of their practices, as the consumer bears the brunt of their actions.
