Wonderful park, I spent so many lovely days walking there. It was beautiful in every season, but autumn and winter have a special place in my heart. I have been very lucky to live nearby this park for a year

You feel that you are in a heath. And not crowded at all. Lack bins and some cleaning particularly areas close to the main roads.

The best bit of Forrest in London ,just beautiful and natural and full of the sounds of nature and wildlife all around you, my dog loves Beverly Brook and heads there to cool off as soon as he sees it

Putney is a Bus Terminus for several Bus routes. Mostly used for commuters to London. Also has a Newsagent, Lovely Pub called the Green Man, very popular with locals.

Great open space, rough parkland. Good for cycling, or just jogging. It is big, but worth a visit. Parking around the park is difficult as most areas need to pay at the meter. Safe environment.

Great place to get away from pavements and buildings! Feels like you're in the woods, a great place to explore with the children, ride your bike (limited paths) or walk the dog. Adjoining Putney Common and there is pedestrian access under the A3 to Wimbledon Common too.

It has a pub, long and beautiful trails,. críquet field, a small lagoon and it's full of benches and spaces to have wonderful walks in a safe environment. Family, picnics and dog friendly.

I live 5 mins walk from the Heath. I workout with my new personal trainer there in all weathers. It's better than the gym as I'm acclimatising and getting fresh air and sunlight around the middle of the day.

We were served quite quick even though there was a decent size queue and a staff member was asking people If they wanted to order a drink because this would obviously help with the queue times. Kids can still watch the donuts being made which is good because that will reduce there bordem while having to wait!

I loved the walk through the woods though the only open space around it seemed to luck attention. It had less seating opportunities and lucked attention . Though at the time, saw a tractor trying to cut the grass around it .

Very relaxed, dogs love it, amazing forest with good pathways, no lights for nighttime through the forest but cricket and martial arts in the summer, no toilets but good binnage.

The flats are really on one corridor, which makes it hard to have your privacy. The flats are quite massive with downstairs toilet and bathroom/toilet upstairs, which makes it more better for when you have guests visiting ????

Just stunning! You can feel properly in the woods, way more 'in the country' feel than say Richmond Park, but one is a managed park with roads, the other is an ancient common with far less land management needs.

A lively place, haven't been on the heath for a few years as I've moved away but it still is a perfect way to spend the afternoon. A little more litter than I remember but other than that amazing.

Went to the Green Man pub for a beer and a snack. Super new garden and refurbished inside. Best to book. All first class. Dog welcome. Given water and a treat.

By far one of the best public parks in London... cool woodland for warm days... multiple ponds for a reading break... and if you show up at 6 or 7 am for a walk or a jog it will feel like having a few square miles of private land...

I don't come to this park often as difficult to access if not a local resident but it's a park which is more like a suburban park than a city park so it is worth the trip via Bus 57 en route to Kingston then Bus 93 (towards Putney Station) and travel to, Tibbet's Corner.
Or Bus 270 towards Putney Bridge then Bus 85 towards Kingston and travel to Exeter House.
It's like a breath of fresh air walking through the heath but unless you know the heath well, best stick to the walking path near the roadside. Lol.

Wimbledon common is what I thought we were walking through. Only when Google popped with the reviews request did I realise that it was Putney Heath. Any way, you wouldn't believe that there is a forest like place in London if I told you. And this just a part of it. It is much bigger than your can imagine. Beautiful natural landscapes for exploring. Have a dog? Bring along and enjoy your walk or run or cycling, whatever you fancy really. There is even a lake where you or your furry friend could have some fun.
Absolutely loved it. Will go there again.

Tranquil and relaxing small woodland, with grassy clearings great for playing fetch with your dog.
Access to Wimbledon Common via a tunnel under the A3 is also a plus.

It's kind of secret, might not be as popular and famous as Wimbledon Common or Richmond Park ,but beloved of locals. Good place to go to pick the blackberries in late summer/early autumn,good place for a walk,for a bike ride,for a picnic,or just general chillaxing. Great pub'Green Man' on the edge of the Heath.

Wimbledon Common was excellent. Putney Heath is also good, but is the other side of the A3 (linked by various tunnels).

Nice place for dog Walker or children to play. Also if it is a sunny day you can take sun bath. There are quite place as well that you can listen to birds singing. You can find a nice lake and interesting wild life.

Nature ???? we spent more than 2 hours here. Its really worth it. Its calm. So good to walk around here to relax your nerves. Check out my pictures and you will see what im talking about. If you have a few hours to spare, come here and have a look. You wont regret it if you love mother nature

I liked this place a lot. Putney is full of pubs, coffes, shops... So you can have some drinks and food before or after visiting this park. It changes a lot between seasons so you can visit it a few times a year and it will look like a completely different place. Good place for birds watch.

Pretty and quiet area. Nice place to have a walk or ride on bicycle (where it's permitted!)
Basically the whole area is a forest with parks and designated pitches/fields inside of it all around. Consists well defined roads and path's to ease the navigation and enhance the walking experience of the hikers.
If you're around and looking for a place for a refreshing walk or just some time to stay away from the traffic and stress.

Putney Heath is a wonderful nature area, left to it's natrual state. Blue bells. Woodland trails. Country lanes. A cricket field played on every Sunday, in thier white traditional outfits, relaxing to watch & listen to the ball? hit the wood. A lovely country pub. There is even a little country cottage????. Wild flowers????????????????????. Ancient trees????????????????????. Foxes. Rabbits????mice????????. Badgers. Squirrels, a variety of birds????????????????. Beautiful safe. Quiet.

It is a great place where people frequently walk their dogs, play games, and have family picnics. It is a clean place that is lovely to spend time in. There is plenty of space and on a sunny day is thriving. I would highly recommend stopping by if you’re passing through the area

This is one of my favourite places in London. There are plenty of greens for a picnic and a ball game, but there are also areas where the path takes you through wild untamed forest. A couple of ponds too, and it's easy wander down south to hit Wimbledon Common as well. It's just wonderful. If you like nature, you'll like Putney Heath.
P.S. Pop into the lovely The Telegraph in the middle of the heath; it advertises itself as 'a country pub in London', rightfully so. I once ate an excellent plate of fish and chips there.

The parkiest park that ever dared call itself a heath. Putney Heath is a gorgeous little oasis in a weave of motorways. Within moments it's easy to forget that you're within one of the world's busiest cities. Be warned, however, that the wee Putney is a gateway park. What starts as a simple stroll along treed paths spotted with tiny ponds, leads invariably to hours and days spent covering every square inch of neighbouring Wimbledon Common ... which in turn exposes unwary explorers to the behemoth of natural beauty that is Richmond Park. You've been warned.
