Owners extremely helpful and friendly . Excellent location , 5 minutes to York Minster and parking available when requested which was great . The room was lovely and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious with fresh Yorkshire bread every morning and a cooked breakfast if you choose . I enjoyed the fresh fruit, yoghurts and lovely juices. The girls serving were lovely and welcomed us every morning asking what we would like to drink . The owners were able to help with any enquiries about York and always asked how our day had been . A great stay , many thanks !... Read more

We had a wonderful stay here at St. Raphael during our visit to York. The hospitality is fabulous - everyone is so friendly and the breakfast is delicious. It is just a short walk from both the train station and into the walls of York, so it is very well positioned if you are coming by train. The beds are very comfy and you are greeted with some fresh baked sweet bread (we had lemon slice waiting for us!). We definitely recommend staying here.... Read more

Danny was great to deal with and accommodated some last minute changes with aplomb. The accommodation was very nice and comfortable but could do with a little upgrading re lighting and technology charging facilities. The breakfast was delicious every day. Location was fine and Uber was there when we didn’t fancy the walk from city centre. We stayed in the Ebor suite which has a private rear entrance and small patio.... Read more

Nice, family run hotel in the centre of York, yet in quiet and residential location. Close to all main attractions. Free parking is a real bonus. Breakfast was delicious, room was small but clean. The bed was very comfortable- all you really need from B&B. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody visiting York for a short city break. If you can, book directly with the hotel rather than through any of the online booking agencies- you’ll get much better deal.... Read more

We stayed 2 nights for my wifes 50th birthday. We all had a great time at the guest house. The staff were very friendly and helpfull and the breakfast was 1st class. I espicially loved the bread was it home made. The location is very ideal as it's walking distance to the city centre. We'd love to visit York again and stay here.... Read more

We stayed at St Raphael's for three nights - it was absolutely fabulous! The rooms were cozy, even on snowy days - the breakfast was delicious and the staff were so very kind and accommodating.
