Avoid if you want your deposit back. Had to send same emails over and over again (100+) relaying same information of cost and account numbers. more than willing to share email correspondence on social media. When keys were given at the office to a male.member of staff he snatched them quickly and did not want any more communication to answer any questions.... Read more

After I paid a holding fee the process progressed as promised and I was delighted to see all agreed furniture in the property two weeks later. My girlfriend and I were happy to rent through Stelfort. When our boiler stopped working during winter time the handyman was arranged on the same day to fix the problem. They also agreed to arrange a cleaner to clean the property for us at a fair price at the end of the tenancy. We would not hesistate to rent from them again. Keep doing well guys!!!... Read more

1. Estate agents took way too long to process our application and documents for moving in, every time we phoned to check up on it they would put it off another week. 2. When we finally did move in there was a maintenance guy in still cleaning and painting with his belongings inside the flat. 3. My partner got a new job meaning our rent payment had to be delayed and the agents weren't considerate to this at all... they never contacted us by phone, would just send out threatening emails about sending out debt collectors etc. Furthermore, when we phoned up their offices it would be someone else telling us we couldn't have management contact details therefore had to wait for them to EMAIL us AGAIN; whenever it was management we spoke to on the phone they would sound aggressive and shout trying to make us feel intimidated. 4. We decided to move out two months early as we couldn't keep up with the rent payments, which luckily our landlord agreed to. However, we were then told after agreeing to this that if we didn't pay the move out fees immediately then it would be up to us to find new tenants otherwise we would have to pay the full 2 months (£3,466.66) rent regardless of whether we lived there or not even though they knew that we were students and didn't have that kind of money. 5. Once all outstanding balances were paid off a few days before move out, we were then promised we would receive our £2,400 deposit back within 10 days of move out... Day 10 came and nothing had been put into my bank, therefore had to phone and email once again requesting about this. We were told that the funds hadn't been released yet by the landlord as they were using OUR DEPOSIT for their own bills; therefore meaning it had no been put into a tenancy deposit scheme. 6. Lastly, we received an email of the breakdown cost of deductions from our deposit. We were charged £533 for not sending the landlords letters within a small time frame. My question is, why would they send important letters such as bills to a property they do not reside in. Then leave it up to us to send them to a new address?? We were also charged £120 for removal of TWO BIN BAGS. £150 cleaning fee, and some other petty fees. All in all, I am glad to see the back of these horrible men and their cowboy services. I WILL NEVER EVER USE THESE AGAIN OR RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. If anything I would HIGHLY ADVISE TO STAY AWAY. They think it is okay to try and belittle you over the phone, their company expresses how friendly they are over an automated message when they put you on hold... they couldn't have given a worse description of themselves.... Do not rate these guys. Inventory was completed without our presence meaning we had to add loads to it about cleanliness of property. Our property was filthy when we moved in and they tried to claim it was because we had been living there for four days and refused to send a cleaner. Excessive agency fees. Landlord never present to deal with problems and property incredibly poorly maintained. More than one occasion where 'maintenance' entered building without giving us any advance notice and left behind considerable mess. Slow to return deposit though eventually returned it in full. Relieved to no longer have to deal with them. Would definitely avoid in future.... Read more

If I could give more than five stars, I would, because Stelfort is truly a phenomenal real estate agent. What most first-time buyers don't realize is that your agent can make or break your first purchase. In our case, Stelfort was a key reason we were able to score a major deal. The listing agent told us that a big reason they went to bat for us when trying to convince the sellers to accept our offer was because of Stelfort's reputation. In addition, Stelfort Agent was honest, real and uber picky. He would stear us away from properties he didn't think were up to snuff and would point out flaws we didn't even see. All in all, Stelfort Agent has a lot of integrity, and was always responsive and diligent. I wouldn't recommend anyone else looking to buy real estate in North London. In all honesty, it’s better stay in a hotel for a while than rush and go through this agency. We were 3 students renting through them, we paid more than 3k per month, so not a cheap price. From day one we started having issues, we asked for the place to be furnished, and they couldn’t have been cheaper, provided us with the smallest couch I’ve ever seen; and drawers that were practically made out of cardboard. Only got worst from there on; we had an issue with the Gas, and had no heater during winter, of course they did not reply, and left us a few days in the cold, only to try to make us pay for the repair later. Second issue was we started getting mice, when keep in mind we had a cleaner coming twice a week so the place was spotless; according to the man who came to help us with that problem, the mice problem was not new and there before we moved in; they just didn’t inform us. But the absolute worst, is that when we checked out they took almost our entire deposit, something close to 2K. When we found the apartment through them, we explained we were only in London for 6 month, and Fiag explained to us it was no problem, we could add a break clause, so we negotiated a break clause after 6 months. When we checked out they found us a small point in the tenancy agreement saying that even with a break clause, they would charge us agent fees (over 1.2k). We were never informed about this and clearly asked about the termination fees before, we acted in good faith and they are just thief. Long story short, we are currently in discussion with lawyers to try getting back our deposit, all I suggest is do yourself a favor and stay away for this agency.... Read more
